It can be highly dependent on your skillset these days, if you are a low level worker doing an easily replaceable job then it is likely that you will have little leeway in what you can wear. It is true that a person who looks neat does not guarantee that he is good and professional. but at least someone who is well dressed has the characteristics of being clean, neat and diligent. clothing as a symbol of one's originality.

I have been in a journey that I used a commercial vehicle, we got to a point where security officers were searching passengers to see if they will find any incriminating but because of how was dressed I was not searched like the other people that was in the vehicle just because of my appearance.
