Yes, since I have no restrictions on my computer at work and there is no ban on using smartphones at work, I have done transactions with both my smartphone and my work computer during my working hours.  I can easily access my accounts and wallets because our screens are not monitored and since I work in a financial institution, our computers are protected with 2 different security software.

Hate to admit it, but I have done that.  I've also used one of the computers at work to post on the forum, and I've done deals for bitcoin as well.  Fortunately my boss really doesn't care as long as the sites we visit aren't going to be putting malware on the computers, and there's a lot of downtime at my job anyway.

On the other hand, I try to use my phone for trading and related activities when I'm at work.  I don't like the idea of leaving a trail on a computer that isn't mine.
Me too! But I am using the company's internet connection not the pc, because my bosses will see what I am doing, also my workmates arent reliable enough, once they saw what I am doing aside from they will becoming curious they will  start making rumor and will tell my boss.
It can be a reason, of course, that is the company properties and they could think bad about it. Aside from that, they could think also that you aren't doing your job as well. That is why( for me), I'd never do this, for sometimes I have some glance using PC but only when I was in a break this is to anticipate what the others can see.
We cant really avoid to those kind of workmates which do have that crab mentality where they do trying to pull down and try to impress their boss.so its much better for you
to avoid rather than risking to trade and let others see on what you are doing while you are still on duty.

We can trade though but be sure that you wont get noticed by everybody.
Within these days, most of the big exchanges of cryptocurrency have a mobile version or application of their website and that is very convenient for the people who want to do some quick trading while they at their work. I suggest to do your trading setups while you are home so you can concentrate very well and when you get to your workplace, that is when you are going to execute all of your trading setups so it will be simply buy and sell.

Do you ever trade at work or trade on your work computer? Any reason why you think this might be a terrible idea?
This isn't a terrible idea since it doesn't consume a lot of time thus it won't interrupt your work too much. Besides, you can trade at anytime you want thus it doesn't demand too much. Computers can allow you to alter different tabs, allowing you to shift to another website or software once the priority task was completed (this should be something you're doing at work). At the end the day, time mamagement is really needed in order to perform both tasks at the very same time.

I do not dare to use office computers because there are divisions that specifically monitor work activities periodically. Trading can be via smartphone only, and I only need to set the price alarm with vibrate mode when I'm busy with work.
Yes we can use smartphone if we want to doing trade if the time we are in our work even do it was to hard doing on phone but we can easily set the prices of coins that we need to trade.

if it's not like this, I always set trading orders in the highest profit percentage adjusted to the daily chart. I also aspire to quit my main job and focus on digital currency alone to be more free without being burdened with time.
I did not quit on my job because I know there are times we cannot get money in trading. Actually it was only my part time job in crypto to earn more and have big help to pay bills in my house.

Do you ever trade at work or trade on your work computer? Any reason why you think this might be a terrible idea?
It depends on the kind of work you're into, but it's not really advisable. If it's an office work that keeps you really busy, like a serious accounting job, then I don't really see why you should be giving yourself stress by adding extra work on top of that, you might end up making a mistake that will affect your job.

Lots of exchanges these days now have mobile app, so you can just chill and wait till you get home, eat your food and take your birth before you start trading. You can just lie down on your bed with your phone and switch on the eye-care mode and trade with your phone, or if you still have the time and strength, you can go to your table and trade with your computer. But, it's best not to trade at work, wait till you get home or you will be distracting yourself.

I never bothered to try and trade at my working place I see working as well as trading as a complete distraction, when trading I ensured full concentration thus I remained focus invariably I trade at home fortunately I used a 4 hour time frame as the minimum platform for my trading thus giving me opportunity to analyse trading set-up in  every four hours except working period.

There is not too much free time when working. So sometimes I just use the company's computer to see the price of cryptocurrency market at coinmarketcap. And my company is very strict. If found out, we will be punished severely or fired. I only use my personal phone to trade when I have free time in the office, it's convenient and doesn't need to be always scared and alert

I think why it might be a terrible idea is lack of concentration. If you are just casual hitting buys and sells for the hope of making money then it doesn't matter but real trading requires a lot of concentration and consistency which only comes when you spend a lot of time in this field and study about this field. What I have heard from most of the people is that this concentration is pretty easy to break which is why most of people trade in a clutter free environments at their homes with proper desk setup. Office would carry it's own certain distraction which could be your work related making your trading less accurate.

My company has been known to fire people for misusing a company computer. One of the things that they define as misuse is doing another business from the company computer. I think they could use that rule to fire me for trading. It’s not worth the risk.

I used to use the company's computer to monitor the market during office hours, and I only use my personal computer or phone to trade because I don't want my information to be stored in the office. and I want to keep my account secure. Luckily, my boss is quite easygoing, as long as I do nothing to harm the company. Until now, I sometimes use the computer to see the market situation

That's good to hear, anyway, if you are doing your work then for sure they will be fine with it, me too, sometimes I do trading at work especially if I don't have deadlines too finish, or when I already finish my task at work, most of the time too, I am just having my lunch break for 20-30 mins so I can still have the chance to check the market and trade.

Yes I have done trading at work and I am still doing it whenever I get time but it is difficult to keep your terminal open in office hours for a long time so trading during work should be very selective. If you already have your template set and if you can analyze the trade within a small span of time then only you should attempt to trade else trading should not done during free time only. Trading needs lot of concentration, a proper homework should have been done to select a potential trade so that it takes a few minute to check the complete setup during working hours.
I guess many do it on their free time or even they are busy they might be a trading tab in our computer. I also did some ponzi like mining before in my work computer but the btc value were too low that I wasn't able to transfer it. As long as we were able to submit and passed our work tasks then it's fine. It's a matter of skills how we will be able to do them both.

Do you ever trade at work or trade on your work computer? Any reason why you think this might be a terrible idea?

I am using mobile phone at work. And take note, I do some swing trades. There's nothing wrong about using mobile phones in trading. I still execute orders, (fill and exit orders)and it wasn't a terrible idea at all. I certainly gain profits without hassle. When it comes to technical analysis or indicators, there's a tradingview app to monitor chart and prices.

Mobile trading environment was too complicated if we have to compare it with personal computer. If you're working in the office of some clerical jobs, that's a good opportunity when we trade on full webpage viewing. But not all job has given this chance to do that due to some restrictions by company rules and regulations, so finding separate time schedule after work was I think very safe and convenient.
Yeah, me too I find it quite hard rather than trading in front of computer like there are some keys which is very small that my thumb can't fit to press it. But I never think of trading while working on my job, I'm a part time trader so that's maybe why I never imagine doing it. My personal preference on trading is really in front of computer and not on mobile though it offers portability.

I am not working with company and focus my live with bitcoin and altcoin investment, every day I full my activities with bitcoin trading by using my computer in my house, I dislike by using public internet for trading because very risk with my bitcoin account data and I afraid some one can stolen my assets if using public internet,
I have no intention of judging your choice but considering participating in bitcoin and crypto is a major job, it's really too risky and difficult when this market has too many manipulators, if we are clever and avoid their trap, that's great but if we are unlucky, the loss is huge, and without a job with steady income offsetting that amount, it would be a big financial problem. Coming back to trading at work, it's really like you said, with such public internet networks, information leakage can occur, setup at home is still better.

With the type of job that I have, I am always tempted to do my trades using company resources or during working hours. I am in front of a computer from 9AM to 6PM. My access is open to anything including Facebook, some company blocks Facebook but in my case its not. So I have access to Trading sites and actually, it is during work hours that I discovered Bitcoin and Bitcointalk.org.

We have the similiar job which is in front of computer all day and we have a really nice chance to trade or opening crypto sites. But my office connection not allowed me to do that, so i'm using my own connection for seeing charts or opening bitcointalk at work. It quite refresh our brain after lots of work to do.
