Do you ever trade at work or trade on your work computer? Any reason why you think this might be a terrible idea?

I am using mobile phone at work. And take note, I do some swing trades. There's nothing wrong about using mobile phones in trading. I still execute orders, (fill and exit orders)and it wasn't a terrible idea at all. I certainly gain profits without hassle. When it comes to technical analysis or indicators, there's a tradingview app to monitor chart and prices.

It all depends on the work done using a computer, and I do not do it because when I work for real I only use my smartphone to trade and in my free time.
and I am more relaxed doing trading at home with my personal computer and not involving other lian jobs.

I have never done that, trading must be consistent right and never use an office computer I have never traded at work, I trade always at my home because it is comfortable and at the right time.
If trading is done with office work it will be lost in your concentration in seeing market movements.

Yes, you are right, we don't know if the office computer is secure or not because I am sure that our boss can watch us from his office. And if our work is not focused, our boss can get angry with us and that means we will get a warning from the boss. It is better we use a computer in our home or at least we can use software or apps for mobile phones, so we don't interfere with the computer at work.

It's better to bring our own laptop to trade at work or at least we use our phone to trading at works. also don't forget not to use the office network because our activity could be traceable by the IT people in the company.

Do you ever trade at work or trade on your work computer? Any reason why you think this might be a terrible idea?
It's a terrible idea because I think most companies don't allow it. I'm not sure though but I think it's inappropriate to use your working time for other things instead of work.

I haven't work yet, still studying in uni but as you can guessed yes I often trade while I'm in lecture lol. It's bad because I definitely would not listen to my lecturer. Beside that, my friends would also be curious of what I'm doing. I don't get comfortable when my college friends know that I'm trading, especially crypto related.

at this time I have resigned from my job. but in the past, when I worked, I often traded at work. Well, I did it because my work has a lot of free time. so I trade. but I have never traded using an office PC. because it's very vulnerable to being hacked. Why.? because I often forget to log out while on the computer. and for others, it is not recommended for safety reasons.
Yes it can be a vulnerable to hackers because the pc is open to public. I trading in my office but I do not use the pc and the laptop owned by the company because there is possibility that if I logged in using that pc or laptop, my account will be vulnerable to hackers. I am trading in my office using my cellphone and also my own laptop for security reasons. It is better to play safe always for me to ensure that I am the only one who can access my portfolio.

lol, it's very reckless if you have to trade using an office computer, it deserves many cases of trading accounts on hacks and hacked wallets, this carelessness should be prevented why should you use an office computer that is not your own personal, usually office computers that have serious problems, of course you know that someone will do the computer maintenance and he understands about bitcoin and then accesses your trading account, you certainly know the consequences ??

I have never traded using an office computer or anyone's computer, maybe using a smart phone I once did it once but now I don't do it anymore because I worry about security about my money using the internet network from the office

Well most of the time, administrators have access to company computers so the information that you put there aren't a hundred percent sure. You can set up but and sell orders anyway while you're at work, so I think there's no need for you to access it using an unsecured device. It's the same as opening up your bank account with the risk of other people peeping through your information.
well that's why the importance of lessons like this is not to access your money, at least know where is a good place, sometimes people come to this forum say I lost my bitcoin, I access my wallet at the office, this is a real folly even though many people have said and I often say that, use our own laptops and computers and no one else accesses it except ourselves, because that's the importance of security it all depends on how people keep their money well

For traders who just buy low and selling high can be done anywhere even in office because it doesn't need any analysis of charts only price based on USD and what price you bought for will be enough to calculate your profits.

But day trading while you are work is risky idea because you lack your concentration on analysis due to work stress or any other disturbance at work place which will results into huge loss for your capital amount.

I do trade at work since it is very easy for me to trade because of the mobile application of Binance. I use their app and blockfolio, so I can monitor the flow of the market and also the value of my trading portfolio. I think that other people should do this also in order to gain some profit while they are at their main source of income.

It's not a bad idea when we just check the market and a little to do something, but not to do trades that are routinely done as usual at the place or when working, other than that if there is someone who is comfortable to do that regularly while working then isn't it means it's something or a bad idea, because as long as we feel comfortable doing it while busy at work I think it goes back to the position and busyness that is owned by each individual and remains to have good control when the pressure is increasing because of doing many things at the time same time we will split the focus which of course it will make emotions unstable.

I don't think that is good idea. If you trade at work you can't be concentraded on either of these two and results will not be good. Serious trading demands full dedication.
I can support trading at work only in emergency situations when you don't actually have don't choice but that shouldn't be regular practice. Also you might have problems if your employer founds out about it.

This is such a funny question--funny because it makes so much sense to me, and I relate to anyone asking it.

I don't really do much trading in general, and I haven't traded crypto at work, but I've spent a lot of time fooling around on the work computer with various crypto things, so that sort of counts I guess.  Only a hardcore crypto addict could understand the need to do this, so I guess I'd have to put myself into that category.  It used to be the stock market that I'd have pulled up all the time on my job's computer, but that was years ago and now it's all about bitcoin for me.

It isn't terrible to trade even while at work.
Not terrible, but jobs tend to frown on using their time and computers to screw around with bitcoin.

Have done it in the past but only when necessary like I used to have lots of notifications on prices and when I get a good profit on my trade then why not use the computer and complete the trade..!! My company doesn't really care unless you don't complete your work in time so it was never an issue for me.

I think that would be a bad idea to multitask trading plus your commitment to do your job while at work. You might miss some opportunities because you aren't focus enough on trading because your boss calls you. It would be great if you full time your trading when you aren't doing something like in work to maximize your potential to gain profit.

I do not go to work anymore and work as a freelancer now and obviously I do trade while at home doing my freelance work as well however back when I was going to work and was in an office I did more than just trading, I was a bit comfortable because I had my own room (normally a whole teams office but they moved their office somewhere better so I got stuck all alone in a huge space) so I was capable of trading, gambling, watching movies, even downloaded games to my computer with the help of IT (computer wasn't allowing, he bypassed the admin rights lol). That is actually the biggest reason why I have been involved with bitcoin for many years since the early days of bitcoin, I was so bored at work that one day I saw something about bitcoin going up and ever since that day I have been involved.

It isn't terrible to trade even while at work. It is a nice experience to start with because while at work, you have the opportunity to make additional money. Again, leaving your trade because you at work might give you some losses. I think if there is chance at work to trade and make more money, that is good.

I think trading at work is a terrible idea in the sense that work environment does not really give you the time required to do your trade analysis and place trades, as office task can be very demanding (depending on the kind of work you do.) But if your work is not a busy one and not tasking, you can actually do your trades there.

Yes I have done trading at work and I am still doing it whenever I get time but it is difficult to keep your terminal open in office hours for a long time so trading during work should be very selective. If you already have your template set and if you can analyze the trade within a small span of time then only you should attempt to trade else trading should not done during free time only. Trading needs lot of concentration, a proper homework should have been done to select a potential trade so that it takes a few minute to check the complete setup during working hours.
It will require sufficient time thats why you should not let yourself in a hurry on making trades. If its prohibited
then better not to trade or make use of office computer if it does allowed then its your choice on what to do but
do it on a vacant or non busy days.Checking or setting it up wont really consume too much time but make it
sure that you can do things on flicker.  Cheesy
