In my country? So far nah. There isn't that much crypto related news so far so that's a bit enough to calm my mind for now, even if there was a news about some platform like Forsage being exposed as a ponzi scheme as warned by SEC before.
Although the probable effect of it would be mostly just a lesser potential investors.

In my country we've got restrictions, and people continue using it. We can state more country men facing the same, governments were against the use of cryptocurrencies, but people create ways to use it. One who has got used to it on trading, gambling, as investment, or for transaction needs will never think of leaving bitcoin at any point. So, I'm not worried about the future statements of my president or the law enforcement committee.

There are chances of regulation on cryptocurrency by country leaders and I also see the chance of total ban reduce daily by the regulation from first world countries. Most regulations by country is to make investors pay tax and to prevent scam. Most government wont openly give the support to cryptcurrency as coin subjected to speculations, well understandable. The volatility is scary and not everyone can cope with the risk, so it is safer for government to be indifferent.

Any possibilities may possible but i'm afraid if ever that our government may declare cryptocurrency as ban in our country. Here in our country luckily that our government leaders doesn't declare it as illegal nor declare it ban that's why for now it still better to trade and invest. So far our government has some sign of being approved in crypto hope that they are open handed to welcome cryptocurrency here in our country.

I live in Ukraine and my new government encourages all innovation. The President of the country was a guest of honor at the congress of representatives of the IT industry, and besides, the government has already expressed its positive attitude towards cryptocurrency and recognized cryptocurrency as an asset that can be bought, changed and sold. In addition, certain online stores today already offer the sale of digital equipment for Bitcoin.

I don't mean only America, what about in your country; do think that a future ban on crypto currencies is ever possible in your country?

There is always possibilities that it will happen to any country, with no exception. For our country's situation, I see no signs that our President Rodrigo Duterte has any negative thoughts about cryptocurrencies, his government is quiet on this matter. But we can notice that the government has some good interest on bitcoin, one sign is conducting studies about cryptocurrencies like bitcoin. If I were to ask, I think Duterte will be fine on handling this matter, he will support it.

of course, I am worried about that, what is certain to happen is that the local exchange in my country will likely be closed...
currently crypto is one of my additional income, if the government imposes this it will interfere with my income. I still hope this never happened.

Most less successful countries are busy finding ways out of debt and poverty right now and crypto seem to be the best option around, why would any president plan to ban this when it's changing the life of many? I'm one of those whom life got changed because of crypto and I'm glad to be a crypto investor, only a fool leader will be so blind enough to block his fellow country men to go fully technology in this era

Actually, in my country, policymakers are not only the president but also the government through certain institutions. Indeed, the president also has the right to legalize it and be involved in it. However, this is a democracy where input will continue to exist.
Currently, my country is legalizing crypto as a digital asset, not a means of payment yet. And I'm not sure if they will change that, especially since it's already in law. And if they will change it, there will be resistance and opposition from many parties, not only individuals but also related organizations and companies.

I'm not too worried because even though cryptocurrency has not been legalized in my country, the president in my country has responded positively to cryptocurrency several times.  In my country there is also a big Exchange and it has got a permit so I don't think it's necessary to worry too much and I'm happy with this.
I think the government doesn't want to lose money value. Somehow the government will find out a process to see all transactions. In another site cryptocurrency was made for privacy, maybe the government will control bank transactions. Decision is pending in my country, the government doesn't announce anything directly.

My Dream Comes True
I was afraid because the jobs in crypto such as bounty, trading, and investing were very good prospects. at that time I always thought that this work must be there forever. but then when the market goes down, the bounty is also quiet, capital for trading and investment is also limited, when there are new rules from the government to ban it, maybe I can accept it. in addition to being in a state like this, the government does have the authority to provide regulations and we must comply with applicable law. I think it would be wise if we obey the rules.
Every country must have their own reasons why they ban cryptocurrency, but as you said, many people will lose or have difficulty getting money because we realize that nowadays there are so many millennials who make trading etc as their main job.

The Standard Protocol - Solving Inflation

What if, for example - like after that twitter hack - the President wakes up (in a bad mood) and decides with an executive order to make all crypto illegal in the USA?
I just hope that will never happen in the US, because I believe thats where it all started, and alot of whales are there, when they start dumping that might cus a massive crash on bitcoin price, these time it might even reach $1k,so I pray that never happens  Cheesy.

I don't mean only America, what about in your country; do think that a future ban on crypto currencies is ever possible in your country?
Yes, it's possible it might get banned over here someday, cus about 2months ago the government over here passed a bill on bitcoin transactions, one of it is that any transaction to any bank account that is crypto related should be freezed by the bank, their excuse is that so many people have been scammed, because they keep investing in crypto hyips  Huh, it's not my fault they don't recognize ponzi schemes when they see one, they just keep investing in crypto doubler and always end up losing their money.

The government is constantly trying to intimidate that they will pass laws and control the cryptocurrency.  But so far no serious decisions have been made.  And yes I am worried about it because it will affect first of all small traders for example.

i dont fear about forbidding. i know they will not forbid it. but what i fear is they can add huge taxes when we want to withdraw our money to bank accounts. i am sure they will do that as soon as they realize the potential of crypto market.

In my country, cryptocurrency is already illegal. Only the authorities in my country are so stupid that they can't come up with a law on digital assets. The country is already in complete stagnation in all areas, so they refuse the most promising direction. This stupidity is surprising...

Presidents have the right to make decree but some can still be protested, not even in a country like america will you just make such type of decree without considering some members of the cabinet's idea. USA is more enlightened than that, even many of the government officials are bitcoin users and it has good advantage to the government herself, talk about the tax, support for unemployed  e.t.c

What if, for example - like after that twitter hack - the President wakes up (in a bad mood) and decides with an executive order to make all crypto illegal in the USA?

Of course this probably will never happen in today's world, as the there is big money is invested into crypto currencies; but do you ever think that it is even remotely possible...

Or the next elected president is so "old school" and decides that crypto needs to go?

I don't mean only America, what about in your country; do think that a future ban on crypto currencies is ever possible in your country?
This question is very 2016-17ish because at that time there was huge influx of newbies in the crypto market including me because the future was not very clear related to crypto market but now i think it is quite clear that no govt can ban crypto, they can only superfacially announce it but they cannot implement it.
