In physical gambling (whether it's a big casino or just small gambling), do pressure on your opponents or playmates actually happen? Like for example, you only set a limited capital but since your friends still want to play, you will end up using all of your money. Or let's say in a casino, you have used all of your allotted money on gambling but since your opponent is winning and he wants to play more, do you exceed on your limit? Just because you don't want to look like you are afraid, that you don't have enough money already, and that you are losing?

Since I do online gambling, I don't feel this kind of pressure. I can stop whenever I want or when I have used all of my money. I don't feel embarrassed or what.

This pressure only happens when you have a fixed budget for gambling and you are already depleted that. Otherwise, there's no reason for anyone to feel any pressure if opponent wants to play more. But that's when your good behavior will come to your rescue and it is always better to politely say no. I personally have visited casino in Nepal few years back during one of my expensive vacations and I mostly played the slot machines. It was a one of a kind experience for me because I had never visited a casino earlier. That certainly doesn't happen in online casinos because you mostly pay against the house instead of an individual.

You bring an interesting topic, and yes that pressure is very real especially when you are playing a game like poker in which you are directly playing against other players and if you happen to lose a big hand you are going to feel pressured to keep playing even if you have exceeded already the amount of money that you wanted to gamble in that particular day, which is why it is important to never bring more money than what you want to spend to the casino otherwise you could lose control and lose all the money you're carrying with you.

I do.

Mostly when I play "sakla". (in Tagalog or Spanish) I cannot find the translation of it.
Games like this mostly happened at funeral wake in Philippines.
I learned that game when I was still young watching my older friends do the bet.
40 cards in pairs so you will bet for 20 types.
You win, they multiply your bet by 18.

If I am losing on that game and my friends want to play more I cannot stop using my winnings.
I always tell myself that will be the last until I drain my pocket.  Grin
You will feel the pressure from them. They don't want you leaving them behind until they are satisfied.

No more Rekt and Bust
Yeah, sometimes I can feel the social pressure in my bones. The gamblers circle around me can be disgusting and this forces me to gamble whatever amount I have planned. The physical casinos are not a good choice for those who can easily lose the control of other gamblers regarding both bet limits and adventure.

Well it depends on your opponent if you do not really know them coz you are trying to blend in your play style in order to win the game especially when the game requires a lot of skill to connect. Personally, when I gamble physically I just play on my friends so I don't feel pressure at all, maybe you'll feel it when the pot is too high coz you are now eager to get it. I tried once playing with new players, I wasn't pressured that much but I feel nervous because I am the banker that time.

I am more a fan of sports betting than casino gambling so I don't feel that pressure. I gamble alone or with friends and being with friends doesn't make me act any different. I don't feel like I have something to prove. I play my games the way I like to and don't pay that much attention to other comments.

No peer that will pressure me if it's online gambling because I'm alone when I gamble. But before, I have that experience whenever there's a peer pressure when I used to gamble physically.
They will push you to lose more if you're already losing, I guess that's the feeling that they are happy to see you losing more. And with that, you have no choice but to continue as you gamble or else you will be humiliated by them hearing some murmurs.

You own the pen
We should know how to control ourselves when something like that happened. They just want to play more to win more because they saw that we are losing our concentration to play. this is how scary gambling is, It will bring loss to someone if he doesn't have the courage to let go or to move on if he loses either big or small. Most of the people cannot handle their selves when those tempting sound of the cards reached their ears. that's why if you know yourself that you gonna ain't survive with that kind of scenario then. better no to go inside for your own safety.

The feeling is natural especially when you are losing, and your competitor has their friends close to laugh at you when you quit.

For some occasions, this kind of desire might happen to me when gambling with some friends. Though at first, I had determined the amount of money to be risked and because of the desire to continue playing even though at the time I was losing, I had to allocate more money with the aim of returning my losses. I don't think this is like pressure, but because of the desire to get my money back.

Since I do online gambling, I don't feel this kind of pressure. I can stop whenever I want or when I have used all of my money. I don't feel embarrassed or what.
You may be able to play until you reach the limit of money you have set aside to bet, but the desire to restore defeat may change the principle of a gambler to continue playing with additional capital.

Yes, it's really happen to me when I playing in physical gambling... especially when I play it with my friends. My friends often force me to play more until he satisfied or my money runs out. It's why I now prefer to play online gambling rather than physical gambling, I'm always stay anonymous and don't get any pressure. Because when I get a pressure from someone, I really not comfortable to play and then lose.

Yes, and this is the feeling that is really hard to fight, this has already happened to me in a gambling casino. Even if I have this allotted amount, I still end up losing all the money in my pocket. Especially if you are winning then suddenly lose, you will really bet everything you have just to get all your losses back.

No I don't feel that kind of pressure it is our choice if we want to continue or stop don't let them decide for you it is your own money and you are the one who would bear the consequence.
I always stop whenever I want even if my opponents still wants to play they couldn't do anything since we are free to do anything we want.

Being watched by other people can give you pressure especially if you are not accustomed to being watched. It depends on your personality I guess. If you are used to being watched it can be your advantage as long as you are used to being watch and pressure doesn't affect you well. If you are on a poker table, Your enemies might get distracted from being pressured and this can be your advantage.

I am playing on a physical casino before but I have my friends with me that's why being pressured from the game is not a big issue for me because I'm comfortable with the surroundings.

Of course there are many pressures involved, just try doing martingale for a few bets and you'll get eyes gazing at you. An introvert would not feel well in a real casino. There's always a hurry factor on physical gambling which would effect your way of thinking. And in some large casinos, there are beer and girls to distract you. As their operating cost are high, they need to make more money while online gambling only depends on house edge.

I have had a lot of moments that are more or less like this, I mean there is real pressure. The story is that I love to gamble in local communities. There are times in this kind of gambling environment when someone would try to manage the money on your behalf. Sometimes I cannot say no.

In cockfighting, for example, I do not make the odds calls. Someone has to do it for me and sometimes he will decide on the how much. I don't like it but it happened a lot of times.

I haven't had this kind of experience in online gambling, though.

Yes, it happens and it will happen to everyone who is living from their paycheck.

Actually we have to play more than what we alloted in physical casinos at the scenarios you mentioned but one who follow the strict money management will quit the game at any cost because they know it is not going to easy task to earn that money if you lost on bets.
