I cant fully agree with the bolded part, for me victory is not the main fun in gambling. Indeed I believe 95% gamblers or even more will say the same with you because their main purpose to gamble is to get profit. But it does not applies for those who gamble for fun only without worrying about losing some money. I like to play poker game because the fun is almost at every single hand while playing it no matter it wont be losing hand or winning hand at the end of each round.

But you have to accept the reality that victory does not happen most of the time.
This is gambling where we should be the one spending money as gambling operators do always have the edge to win in the long run.
They run a machine with an house edge while human gambles with their mind and sometimes with their emotion, so we are not that accurate.

It is difficult to accept the reality especially if that person is addicted to gambling because he cannot satisfy with what he got in gambling no matter what is the result. I think only a few people that can accept the reality about the results and that people can play gambling on the other day and will assume that the luck will come over him. In the gambling games, we should not use emotion when we played, and we should always remember that winning and losing can happen to anyone and we need to accept.

When you can control yourself and not spend too much time in the gambling game, then I think it's not a waste of time because you can get out from the places in any time. But it will differ if you only want to chase the winning money and decide to continue to play until you win much money, then I think it will a was of money and time. I think all of us should try to make it our skill, it is best way to make money while you are enjoying your work. If you are one of the few which are able to get profits out of gambling then it makes sense that you do not want to stop gambling since you are getting profits out of something you like, just be careful because even if you can get profits out of it you are still relying in something that is random so even if you can get profits there are going to be times where the luck is not going to be in your side and you will lose many times in a row and you could lose all your capital.

When we started to make gambling as our daily routine then the only result we will get is busted. We will keep gambling even though we already had profit or even we increased our base bet. The only exit point is when we have nothing to stake again. Don't let gambling control our mind by not playing it so often. Use only the spare time we had and with small amount of money.

But no one is able to make money while they are a enjoying their work with any type of gambling. Probably if you are referring sport-betting, there could be plenty of chances for what you are saying. Still, you cannot enjoy your work as you need do lots of analysis before going for betting on a sport person or team. It may be entertaining as you are working in your interested sport events but when your analysis go wrong, you may not be enjoying.

I believe you should stop thinking gambling in this way. Gambling is definitely not a source of income as most gamblers are making losses only. It may give profit one day and it will you a loses the for rest of your life. I'm not just saying these but saying these from the experience of most of the gamblers here and from my friends group.

It's true that gambling companies must make profit at the end of the month or year and these come from the losing money. But there are still always small and big winners too.

Not at all waste. Actually gambling is one kind of addiction. Whoever start play basically he can't leave it easily. Few are wining and few are losing, that's the game if gambling. I am newbie on gambling, just observing what's going on. Seems mostly it's depend on luck as well. I have not decided yet to continue gambling but looking into it. Really I don't want to addict on gambling, but sometimes I will spend time on it. Let's check sometimes how is my luck. But once I see most of people's on loss that time I am worry.

I gamble even if I am wasting my time and money because the result is I am entertained.
That's the main reason, aside from entertainment, we also wish that we can cash out money in gambling but that's a hard thing to do.
What's easy is to get entertain only because if you play for that sole purpose, you'll be satisfied regardless if you win or loss.

We all gambling to make money. It is not always the case but at least we try. In sports betting if you are ahead the market you can make profit. I am doing online betting on Betfair and there you can have maximum odds as you are trading against other bettors and not the house. At the end only the winners pay the fee. It is fair.
