it's really hard achieve a profit after many years of gambling.
if you trade your odds and chance of win its something diffferent... you become more trader and not still a gambler.
However, to become a profitable gambler you need to have a lot of skills, experience and knowledge.
most of people will lose huge amount since they are missing something Smiley
Oh that is right, rarely to boost about profits in gambling on a very long run because they more we wins and more we keep to gambling is more important probable that you would lost since our gaming decisions has not be authentic to give us expected outcome at most times.

With the act of experience, the more we chases those minor looses from the loosing begining is such huge lost we accounts if compiled.
Being experienced enough with the risks surrounding gambling, it is better to know when to quit and when to resume when we have made some profits or little looses so we can always minimize the rate of loses otherwise, we may end up regrets over chasing profit and not even the skill could revive us

You can only gamble capital you have available and you must earn that capital first before it can be risked.  To say you are earning by the risk being taken is beyond logic seemingly.  No doubt some people can make a bowling ball float like a balloon but it wont be most of us that perform such magic & its best not to presume success without owning the steel capped boots first before trying such things out as an idea right or wrong.

Start modest & if you have success then you can gamble your winnings then we can argue the schematics of who is earning what where, when that luxury comes then great but most of us have to earn what we gamble its just the way it is.

Since I’m already earning, yes I gamble to make more money. But let’s make it clear, I have my stable job and I do gambling only whenever I have some extra funds to gamble. Losses are still inevitable, but the good thing is I’m now more capable winning more than losing a lot. Luck and sort of skills are the keys, and definitely being disciplined in gambling.

Skills? They only matter in some sorts of gambling, such as sports betting or poker, but most of the time, it's luck that you need to succeed as a gambler, or at least to stay safe from excessive losses. Someone like you who has a stable source of income can always try their luck even if they want to do it with a gambling game because what's the harm? All you need to do is decide on a small percentage that you will use for your gambling activities and stick to it.

Gambling doesn't harm people; it's the people who let it harm themselves. As you said, if someone stays disciplined in gambling, they can even earn money from it, or even if they don't, they will at least face no financial problems because of it. It's our greed that makes us fall into traps and then compel us to get trapped even more.

..and top result is to win money. Now, I have been at this phase before trying to win money with gambling and I fell face first that I find this idea absurd these days.

Now, those voters, have you been successful with making money with gambling?

Of course I usually involve myself in gambling with money as the main target. It's not just me here but most of the gamblers participate in gambling for income. If explained in my case, I have not made much profit from gambling so far but most of my bets have been losses. In the beginning I got maybe two day betting profit and since then I haven't got much profit. But greed has awakened in me due to which I cannot stop myself from gambling. But trying hard to keep myself away from gambling.

I am one of the voters on that poll that chose "making money". I am not consistently making money in gambling but I am not on a big loss either. I think that's only the important part in my case. The thing is, I never really hit that big jackpot just yet. My highest was $500 win and next to it was like $350 only. After that, I have not won anything too big because I am more focused on sports now.
That's the thing when it comes to sports gambling, it's either you take the short route of making risky parlay and making huge sums of money or you take the slow and long route of betting singles only but with the less risky method that might make you win long-term.

Not really, I'm just a casual seasonal gambler and I gamble for entertainment, sometimes I won and sometimes I losses that's why I've managed to lessen unnecessary losses because I don't chase loses. I play for entertainment and chasing wins are not an ideal way of gambling.

Yeah, there are many gamblers out there who aims to win and making profits out of gambling but remember that it's not consistent and sometimes worst might happen. Of course, people will always remember the wins and will always forget the losses, so I don't believe things like it's more profitable, it's rare to some people that's very lucky and very strategical.

The whole does NOT make a profit in gambling because it loses more, but from each game session, there is always a winner so that is called profit in gambling, especially from sports betting which often produces.
Does gambling have to be profitable? Yeah... I think many gamblers aim for that so if they lose, they won't regret it.
Sport betting is not really different because you will also see people that are addicted to it and also betting sites have more money daily from bettors.

Gambling can be profitable but the profit from it should be the entertaining part of it and not the money that is actually won.
Yeah... maybe they have a lot of money to bet every day, but for me it won't be every day because the amount of money I have for gambling is not so much, so only every week.

That's what I mean... the profit from gambling is part of entertainment not the main source of income because obviously in gambling it will not be profitable for a long time even almost every gambler has experienced a losing streak.

I'm actually quite surprised it won by majority. While I reckon there's a part of those users that can handle gambling so much all the time to win,
i think this just shows how diverse the community is

There are so many gamblers all over the world i know gamblers who only play for fun but knowing that from the poll there’s also a lot of those who gamble for the money so it is interesting to see i do not think this applies overall though but with recent developments of how gambling is used nowadays there is a possibility

I have seen gamblers who actually  did made money of gambling but the problem has always been with them been disciplined enough,  when they begin to make this money probably when luck happens to be on their side, they don't  get disciplined enough  to put to good use this money and further generate wealth and take their  dependency off gambling and so they end up still comeback  to gambling except  but a few.

Let's be realistic: if we take the possibility of winning from gambling aside, there will be fewer people interested in gambling.

That would be outright scamming if we never win, reality is we do win sometimes but what many don’t realize is that in the long run we’re still losing money. However, the entertainment we get from gambling is something money can’t really buy, so it’s fine to lose as long as it doesn’t hurt our finances, after all gambling is meant to be fun (and casinos know this, which is why they encourage us to keep playing).

I admit that I gamble for money, to get more money.

But if asked if I have succeeded from gambling?

the answer is:
NO or note yet

because that's the reality. sometimes win, sometimes lose, often lose, and stop, then play again, win, and lose again.

How can I be successful with gambling that is not disciplined and serious enough? hahaha

that's why, I don't do this often because I am really aware of my abilities when gambling, whether it's skill-based gambling or luck-based games, it's worse.

I also did not count my exact losses, but I am absolutely sure that over the entire time I have lost more than I have won. I understand that the more I lose, the more likely I will be a loser. But nevertheless, I have reduced the number of bets I make per month, I have decided to make them less often, but at the same time I cannot completely give up the game, because I like to relax by betting on my favorite teams and leagues. And yes, I am ready for losses if they happen, I do not have high expectations, but if I win, I am very happy about it.

Not having a high expectations for gambling is a really smart way to stay safe and gamble responsibly because the moment you start to expect high wins or continue wins in gambling and then start losing that’s when depression and other sorts of emotions kicks in and then you will start having the thought of chasing losses or doing something that will affect your gambling life.

No, i've not. Infact if I should also calculate all I've spent on gambling and subtract my wins from it, you would see that I am in losses. I successfully enriched the casinos I've used so far, especially last year Grin. I'm not bothered about the outcome because I do not have much expectations from gambling, I only hope to get an exceptional win some day.

The reason some gamblers get all disappointed and emotional after a loss is because of the high expectations they have for gambling. Whether they expect much or not, only luck will play out at the end. So, it is better that they have open minds towards gambling and have peace of mind.

It's not absurd to see people gamble for money. But that question strikes the most of us. To be honest, if there are profitable gamblers in here I am sure that they're very few. I'd say that I have became profitable at few occassions and they're not a big. So, if the small wins count then that's it for me. Otherwise, I can say that I am not a profitable gambler if they won't count. I have my some moments of winning big but more with losing big. I'm not probably even close to breaking even with the total amount that I have gambled compared to my overall winnings. And if there are those profitable and successful gamblers, that becomes a motivation to be honest but I know my mind is tricking me.  Tongue

I have not made a good significant amount of money from gambling; still, I have not wasted a good amount on it, but the fact that I could be able to win something out of it keeps us going. There might not be constant winning, but knowing fully well that it could happen someday is among the reasons why some people's zeal to gamble increases every day.

Let's be realistic: if we take the possibility of winning from gambling aside, there will be fewer people interested in gambling.

I would be lying if I said that I win more than losing. Might it have been harsh to hear but never complain because I was already aware of the situation and accepted the reality?

Understanding the nature of gambling doesn't make you feel frustrated but rather enjoy the moment. Of course, I was hoping to win the jackpot, but not necessarily have to spend a lot for it. The point I want to share is that even if we aim to win money, it doesn't mean we should focus on it.

I do not think this question is necessary at all because most traders are losing. Especially those that are looking for money through gambling are the ones that are most vulnerable to losses of money while gambling.

The whole does NOT make a profit in gambling because it loses more, but from each game session, there is always a winner so that is called profit in gambling, especially from sports betting which often produces.

To be honest, I don't think so much anymore about whether I'm betting just to win money or to have fun while watching the games and having a “competition” with my friends
I've been successful in my bets, and in the vast majority of leagues I manage to make a reasonable profit. I hardly ever lose an entire bankroll

I bet almost entirely on soccer and the leagues I follow, so maybe I'm more into the fun side than just making money
It's a lot of fun to bet on your favorite team, watch the game and see them win

In the beginning, when I was just trying to make money, I read a lot about betting on different types of sports, such as tennis and basketball, but I didn't succeed that way

If you are just betting just because you want to see your favorite team and you only bet your extra money, for sure, you will have fun betting and watching the game. However, if you are betting for the main reason of winning that bet, you will surely be agitated while watching the outcome of the game. Now, you are more concerned with the outcome not the game itself.
