Most of the intention of every gambler is to earn from gambling once in a while no matter how little it is, to prove that they are really trying in predicting bets correctly. For those gamblers who thinks gambling as means of making money, to meet up in their weekly or monthly spending are they ones who are always caught by it to be addicted gamblers.
As for me, I last have a win in gambling many months ago, I feel relaxed about it, not to pressure myself for a win since I normally bets with 1-3% of my weekly income on gambling.

Anything that will give you a chance to make money, you'll go for it, which is why the majority voted for that option. its ok to want to win and try to make money as long as you are okay with experiencing losses and playing within your allocation.
I don't see this idea as absurd because there are actual and real winners in gambling; even if the odds are not in your favor, you will still take a chance.

Making money was my motivation until I came to the point that I could not keep up with that mindset because its turning into a big disappointment on my part. I have to make a shift into something that my system can afford and keep up with, and that is to just play for adrenaline...and top result is to win money. Many of us were ignorant when we started to gamble; we thought we could make money from gambling until the harsh reality hit us that its impossible to do that, so we have no choice but to make a shift.
There are some techniques in gambling that could give gambler some edge like Martindale system, but it is limited just to some games like dice and roulette. And even with those systems gambler risks huge loss (like in my case).
I don't know what edge martingale gives? That thing danger in my experience, can wipe up your entire bankroll if luck ain't on your side and this unlucky day surely comes sooner or later.

I don't know about the voters but I have been successful from August 2019 up until January 2024 and I have win a bit of money quite some time during that time. I believe though that since early January 2024 I have been losing for a consecutive year almost up until November 2024 when I decided to quit gambling once and for all as I didn't see any green light. So I fully agree with your idea of finding absurd these days to win money because it is so difficult and also the slot providers have become more restrictive than ever, now I don't know why this has come to happen, because the casinos itself has asked for it or because the providers do not want to let people win big anymore.

I don't think there are skills in gambling that guarantees winning, because gambling is mainly about luck , if you ain't lucky you ain't winning. So I don't think there's any skill that will help you control your luck .
Rather they might be step one can follow in gambling just to increase their chances of winning (but the winning is still not guaranteed), all am trying to say is that is possible to acquire some skills in trading that will help increase your chances of winning for sure, like been a pro trader , but I don't think gambling works that way though.

Either a lot, enough or earned nothing yet. It wouldn't change the mindsets of those set of gamblers who gambles specifically to make money.
Hence they're determined of this goal, the narrative because they/we'd keep on chasing it on the long time we keep to gamble.

Usually we always have this mindset to gamble to win money but at some point I have to understand that gambling is above that phase of just gamble and win money, yes I did comment there as well and from my own point of view vast majority of people gambles to win money including me, but at some point I have to change this perspective to know that gambling is above just gambling to make money rather the pleasure we derived while gambling is what matters most than just channeling our points if interest to the money we makes from gambling. 
Hmm what is meant by the word successful here? if we talk about getting a win, it is certain that the majority of gamblers have gotten it, but in general if calculated in the long term, usually the number of losses is always much greater than the wins and in my opinion that is a natural thing because no matter what we play on the casino's advantage, or what I mean is we will never be able to beat the casino's advantage because they are the ones who have the system and who regulate all the gamblers' wins.
In gambling, a strategy or method that works for you now does not mean that it will give the same results in the future, there is no connection or relationship in the matter of results from different times and that is the reason why gambling is called an activity that is full of uncertainty because there is indeed no way that can guarantee victory, there will never be an idea that can lead you to long-term success in gambling.

Well, I earn money from gambling, and I occasionally win a large sum, but I only gamble for fun, and if the capital is lost, I stop playing and gamble again the next day.
However, when you add up all of your losses and wins, I still lost a large amount in comparison to my profits because what I play is not a skill-based game, and I usually win a lot of money from slots.
I believe that the only people who make a profit are those who play skill-based games or sports betting because they can analyze the game, compared to slots or arcades, which are all programs that cannot be beaten.

Yes I do gamble to earn money, successful? If it is meant to be about overall result, I cant really tell about it because I have no exact data on how much I've lost and I've won.

I have won a few bucks from gambling but I can't say that I have made enough money to say that it can sustain me for a long time. Which is why it is not the main reason for me to gamble. If I get lucky then I can accept it but otherwise I would not force myself to try and make money. I also do not expect myself to be successful in making money to sustain myself and my family so I do not want to depend on gambling for my main source of income.

I didn’t vote on that pole but I believe no matter what choice you pick there you will still experience a hard time to become successful in gambling mostly because of the house edge of all games.
The only way to become successful on gambling is be quick on gambling and stop immediately the moment you won. You will suffer an inevitable loss if you make your gambling late game.
I will vote to earn money but I’m not successful in gambling if we will consider my past losses despite my successful run on my current gambling career in last 3 years.
I really like that thread as it exposed much. For example it has brought about this further conversation. There are times when I gamble for the money. Do I always win, no. In fact the last win I had when my intention was to win money, was less than $15. I couldn't even withdraw it. Well it is just going to be there. The next time I play may be because I want to experience the adrenaline rush and not exactly for the money. I know that consistent wins are not possible but it you lose most of the time then something is wrong.
