..and top result is to win money. Now, I have been at this phase before trying to win money with gambling and I fell face first that I find this idea absurd these days.

Now, those voters, have you been successful with making money with gambling?
I have seen gamblers who actually  did made money of gambling but the problem has always been with them been disciplined enough,  when they begin to make this money probably when luck happens to be on their side, they don't  get disciplined enough  to put to good use this money and further generate wealth and take their  dependency off gambling and so they end up still comeback  to gambling except  but a few.

Let's be realistic: if we take the possibility of winning from gambling aside, there will be fewer people interested in gambling.

That would be outright scamming if we never win, reality is we do win sometimes but what many don’t realize is that in the long run we’re still losing money. However, the entertainment we get from gambling is something money can’t really buy, so it’s fine to lose as long as it doesn’t hurt our finances, after all gambling is meant to be fun (and casinos know this, which is why they encourage us to keep playing).

I admit that I gamble for money, to get more money.

But if asked if I have succeeded from gambling?

the answer is:
NO or note yet

because that's the reality. sometimes win, sometimes lose, often lose, and stop, then play again, win, and lose again.

How can I be successful with gambling that is not disciplined and serious enough? hahaha

that's why, I don't do this often because I am really aware of my abilities when gambling, whether it's skill-based gambling or luck-based games, it's worse.

I also did not count my exact losses, but I am absolutely sure that over the entire time I have lost more than I have won. I understand that the more I lose, the more likely I will be a loser. But nevertheless, I have reduced the number of bets I make per month, I have decided to make them less often, but at the same time I cannot completely give up the game, because I like to relax by betting on my favorite teams and leagues. And yes, I am ready for losses if they happen, I do not have high expectations, but if I win, I am very happy about it.

Not having a high expectations for gambling is a really smart way to stay safe and gamble responsibly because the moment you start to expect high wins or continue wins in gambling and then start losing that’s when depression and other sorts of emotions kicks in and then you will start having the thought of chasing losses or doing something that will affect your gambling life.

No, i've not. Infact if I should also calculate all I've spent on gambling and subtract my wins from it, you would see that I am in losses. I successfully enriched the casinos I've used so far, especially last year Grin. I'm not bothered about the outcome because I do not have much expectations from gambling, I only hope to get an exceptional win some day.

The reason some gamblers get all disappointed and emotional after a loss is because of the high expectations they have for gambling. Whether they expect much or not, only luck will play out at the end. So, it is better that they have open minds towards gambling and have peace of mind.

It's not absurd to see people gamble for money. But that question strikes the most of us. To be honest, if there are profitable gamblers in here I am sure that they're very few. I'd say that I have became profitable at few occassions and they're not a big. So, if the small wins count then that's it for me. Otherwise, I can say that I am not a profitable gambler if they won't count. I have my some moments of winning big but more with losing big. I'm not probably even close to breaking even with the total amount that I have gambled compared to my overall winnings. And if there are those profitable and successful gamblers, that becomes a motivation to be honest but I know my mind is tricking me.  Tongue

I have not made a good significant amount of money from gambling; still, I have not wasted a good amount on it, but the fact that I could be able to win something out of it keeps us going. There might not be constant winning, but knowing fully well that it could happen someday is among the reasons why some people's zeal to gamble increases every day.

I would be lying if I said that I win more than losing. Might it have been harsh to hear but never complain because I was already aware of the situation and accepted the reality?

Understanding the nature of gambling doesn't make you feel frustrated but rather enjoy the moment. Of course, I was hoping to win the jackpot, but not necessarily have to spend a lot for it. The point I want to share is that even if we aim to win money, it doesn't mean we should focus on it.

I do not think this question is necessary at all because most traders are losing. Especially those that are looking for money through gambling are the ones that are most vulnerable to losses of money while gambling.

The whole does NOT make a profit in gambling because it loses more, but from each game session, there is always a winner so that is called profit in gambling, especially from sports betting which often produces.
Does gambling have to be profitable? Yeah... I think many gamblers aim for that so if they lose, they won't regret it.
Sport betting is not really different because you will also see people that are addicted to it and also betting sites have more money daily from bettors.

Gambling can be profitable but the profit from it should be the entertaining part of it and not the money that is actually won.

To be honest, I don't think so much anymore about whether I'm betting just to win money or to have fun while watching the games and having a “competition” with my friends
I've been successful in my bets, and in the vast majority of leagues I manage to make a reasonable profit. I hardly ever lose an entire bankroll

I bet almost entirely on soccer and the leagues I follow, so maybe I'm more into the fun side than just making money
It's a lot of fun to bet on your favorite team, watch the game and see them win

In the beginning, when I was just trying to make money, I read a lot about betting on different types of sports, such as tennis and basketball, but I didn't succeed that way

If you are just betting just because you want to see your favorite team and you only bet your extra money, for sure, you will have fun betting and watching the game. However, if you are betting for the main reason of winning that bet, you will surely be agitated while watching the outcome of the game. Now, you are more concerned with the outcome not the game itself.

Definitely the top answer will always be for the money honestly gambling for the money doesn’t mean winning is sure, we just gamble with a positive mindset and expect a win in return. Most of the time gambling will never be in your favour especially when giving all hope and expectations high, that’s the major reason no one can earn with gambling funds personally I don’t get lucky to such extend but, not always since I have been gambling with records associated with wins likewise lose.

Yes, Ive put 'some' money into gambling over the years.  Wink Have I come out ahead financially? Nope.  But Ive had some good times along the way, won a few pots, lost a lot more.  It can be fun if you go in knowing the odds are against you and  the house usually wins.  I try not to make it a habit - its too easy to lose more than you should.  Moderation and self-awareness are key.  Go into it as entertainment rather than a way to make money.  Approach it that way and youve got better chances of walking away satisfied.

I'm actually quite surprised it won by majority. While I reckon there's a part of those users that can handle gambling so much all the time to win, I reckon there's also always going to be that small percent that can't really bet all that money and is relying on something, e.g. his salary, beer money like in this forum and stuff to actually be able to gamble. Kind of sad since there's a lot of people here who are recommending to hold that money in crypto instead of gambling it all away.

Personally I'm about even, a bit more on the side of losing, but still close. At least as far as I'm aware of Tongue.
It's not as if we can't say that we have some gamblers who have mastered the act of gambling and can afford to win on multiple times and occasions because of their technical skills to accurately analyze the game to aid their consistent winning.

But not that there is no always guaranteed winning formula also, so let no one be carried away to rely on a formula so much to the point of risking what they can't afford on such a bet, because of the impact of the losses on their financial well being will be much.

Successful gamblers don't gamble anymore. They go into something else. There are very successful gamblers with experience.

What they do is that they switch to consultancy for gamblers and online bookies . They switch to opening a social media account where the main topic discussion betting. The way we'd look bored if they play again. This is a lucrative job that pays more than any gambling with winnings.

I really like that thread as it exposed much. For example it has brought about this further conversation. There are times when I gamble for the money. Do I always win, no. In fact the last win I had when my intention was to win money, was less than $15. I couldn't even withdraw it. Well it is just going to be there. The next time I play may be because I want to experience the adrenaline rush and not exactly for the money. I know that consistent wins are not possible but it you lose most of the time then something is wrong.
A gambler supposed to know that gambling has a advantages and disadvantages, so in such case, we should know that not everytime you partake in the gambling is when you will make a profit...anyone who is into gambling supposed not to have such intentions that your objectives of participating in the gambling is to make a profit by wining frequently in the gambling, so when you gamble with such intentions you may experience the negative side of gambling, so let me assume that people that have such mentality of winning in gambling frequently is a gambler novice.

The primary objective about gambling should always be to win , which is to earn $$$ and this is coded in our DNA incase anybody doubts this fact because the biology tells us we are all born winners and we are the evidence Roll Eyes

Of course it's about the money and unfortunately this game always has its ups and downs & we get to win when luck is on our side and at times we lose...and with a sprinkle of emotions in the equation,  this drops our winning chances from 50/50 to 30/70, so technically speaking long term we might be chasing our loses which is why I personally don't keep tabs Tongue

Imo the reasons why we don't normally get the winning we want from gamble is because we are gambling because we think gamble is a means we can generate money easily.
However some times I gambe for the money and I sure to say that I haven't been successful through gamble am just happy that I haven't gone too far by gambling excessively. Sometimes I also gamble because I want to keep myself busy and it's with the money I can afford to lose.

I agree with your assertion on this and I will usey friend for example. I have a close friend who is so engaged in gambling but will only do that whenever he's broke and needs money. He plays games with plenty odds and games but a very little stake. My friend is into sports betting and will use his.last card to play gambles with the intention of winning large sum of money but at the end of the day the result use to be negative.

My advice for many young people out there who might be like my friend is not to gamble with the sole intention of making money, else you won't gamble so often and prepared like you should. And your level of strategy will be low since the driving force is tied to little monetary gains.
