I came from a country where possession of gun is not allowed for ordinary citizen like us. However, I believe even if it is allowed it should be discouraged because each time a gun goes into action lives are destroyed in the process. How I wish we all learn to love one another. In practical terms that is almost impossible so possession of a gun legally in places where it is allowed and in certain situations is very important.
This question mostly goes to americans (or residents of any other country where it is legal).

I think having or owning a gun is only legal if you have a license to own one. For me, i see no wrong in having a gun because it is every ones right to protect him/herself from harm and danger caused by other individuals. Do you have any firearms? I do own 3 handguns, but have no attachment to them at all. I keep them strictly for protection, but don't think I could ever use them against someone even if I had too.

I don't think so, people shouldn't have the right to own a gun. Rather people should have the privilege to own one. I mean, people should go through rigorous screenings, testing and such so that the governing agency would know that the people requesting to own a gun are responsible and not at all sociaopath so that could go on a killing spree once they snap. Owning a gun is one thing, much like collectors and such, but owning ammunitions are another. We should also tighten the security around those too
I do not have a gun because in my country, the laws do not allow a private individual to own guns. you may own a gun if only you work with the military. If I should own a gun, I may have no purpose for it.

I do not have a gun but I know how to self defense .. im from pilippines so it's too tight here to have a gun especially if it's no license.

i don't own any gun, though all of us have the rights to have as long as your gun have licence and register to agency of the government...thats the law in my country.....i am very happy with that attitude....
fortunately I haven't a gun.If I had a gun,sometimes I will had kill someone and I will have been arrested.so it's good to me and also for whole humans and also for animals.I really like to no guns in the world.no guns no wars.have a peaceful world.

Gun was used for self defense. In case of emergency you need to use it for your protection. However, you need to have all the papers needed for carrying firearms so that it will be legal to carry it. Also, you need to have temper in case you have argue with other people.
