Owning a gun for self-defense is like having fire insurance or health insurance. You don't really think your house will burn down, but it might. You don't really think you will have a catastrophic car accident, and huge hospital bills, but you might. You hope you will never need your insurance, but you have it just in case. The same goes for having a gun for self-defense. It is better to have it and not need it, than to need it, and not have it.

I don't have a gun, and literally if you have a gun you are willing to kill people or whatsoever. But nowadays, in every nations they have laws about gun it should register legally for you to use it legally also. But sometimes, there are some people abuse their license to hurt or kill somebody just because they have a gun then in the end they will say its a self defense but not all are true. i don't have gun at home ,is not good for show the people ,have the gun make people scaery,because i think you can will be bad person so i don't want have gun,in my country is not easy to have gun, because they has rules

No, I don't have a gun. Having it would just trigger me to commit crimes because I have a very short temper. Getting a license here in our country is quite hard that needs a lot of papers as requirements and it is a good thing because gun must be controlled to avoid crimes and unnecessary circumstances.
I do not have a gun. Getting a gum in my country is not very easy. because in my country has a standard rule about weapon ownership.weapon should be used for self defence.
Just like here in my country it is such hard to have a permit to carry a gun and that is what it should be. Possessing a gun should be screened very well. Having guns also is like you can kill someone in an instant. You become brave because of that and just a fraction of arguments will result to a disaster.

The fact is, guns are not scary or bad. Slingshots, blow darts, knives, baseball bats and bow and arrows are equally as dangerous. In reality, there are evil people who wish to do innocent people harm, and you have to be ready to defend yourself against these attacks. Would you go into the wilderness without protection? If someone started beating you up would you defend yourself with your hands?
Likewise, self-defense is a right and I guarantee you if you are ever in a situation where you are getting robbed you will wish you had a gun.
Yes i am agree..gun its not bad if they know how to place it...it doesnt mean you have gun you are killer or you are bad already...anyway gun can use for self defense especially to those people bad around you...when you are alone in the street you can use the gun for self defense if they are gonna robbed you.. I think the purpose of guns is self protection to their life, the guns is a tool that has enough power, when used properly (and very often improperly) to kill. If you are a Careless person, this tool is very dangerous.
Protecting other people or killing other people is really hard to say when you're put on a situation. Giving guns to all people are really not a good decision for humanity.

I absolutely agree with you. My answer is "No , i don't have a gun , I have a gun shop" It is legal to have one in my country , but prices are so high.
I do not use a gun. because of:
1. The gun is very dangerous it can hurt you and others.
2. In my country, people are prohibited from using guns.

I do not have a gun, but a gun needs to be, for example for the police, the army. it is very necessary for them to maintain the security of the country and its citizens. because in any country there must be criminals.

I do not have a gun. It is illegal for an individual to have a gun here in Nigeria my country. Some may have it illegally for self protection against my robbers. Funny Right? I'm of the opinion that it is not proper for individual to own gun as this could lead to mass destruction as their may not be a proper way to control it.
I think there are advantages and disadvantages of gun legalization. On the one hand it's good to know that you are protected, but on the other hand there can be such cases when children bring gun to school and shoot or other inadequate situations.
I do not have a gun. I am a simple guy today. In the future maybe 5 years from now I have it. The purpose why I want gun in the future because I strongly believe that more bad guys will can. Disable the able. Disalarm the community by showing their bad motive and bad habits. In our country, only the authorities and the rich can afford and have a gun but in my opinion, having a gun should be limited to the authorities only. Others say that it's for their own protection only but there are a lot of times that their gun power has been abused.

I don't have a gun but if it will be legalized, i want to have one especially at home. Robbers and murderers nowadays are very aggressive, bringing a gum with you is very helpful and will make you safe (in some ways). Do you have any firearms?
