No, because in my country it is strictly forbidden civilians to use guns or pistols, here a pistol is reserved only for state defenders or staff who work for a country like soldiers and police and if a civilian wants to use weapons they have a certificate or permit equivalent to be used but still have to apply the rules.
Holding a gun without a license is illegal in my country and even if you apply for legal procedure to have a gun its gonna be very lengthy process and you need to disclose all the valid reasons for having a gun and its not at all easy to get permission from Government in my country and if you are an normal person I don't think you will ever need a gun for protection.

Do you really need a gun to defend yourself? I mean there are other, very effective ways to defend yourself - not really a gun. And you don't even have to warn the aggressor, seeing as how they're not lethal. Americans and their guns... Like children and their toys.
