May be the person will get the applications after deleting them. It is like a workaround to not use the device in order to not use the apps. Social media has become a routine. According to a research, a common person spend 5 hours daily on the social platform of his choice. Coming towards self-control, it is the most essential art required learning to become successful in life. IN gambling, this matters a lot.

I agree, instead of shutting down your device or deleting the application, why not remove your internet at home and live like it's 1995, don't stick your nose too much in gambling, try to walk out of your room and refresh your mind to be able to make more better decisions in your life. It is a disease if you can't live a single day without the internet, you have to be aware of that, it could damage your brain if you spend too much time in your computer sitting all day without doing any exercises and not eating on time.

You have to control everything, not just in gambling but also your daily routine in your life, it is important and a must

Smells like a lot of well-hidden sarcasm to me

The folks who are trying to control everything are known as and called control freaks. And they are called freaks for a reason. And the primary reason is that there is no way one can control everything. In fact, it is impossible to control even the tiniest part of everything. But that's not all. The most ironic, and ultimately pathetic, moment is that the more one tries to control things, the more they tend to get out of hand, so such effort often turns out quite counterproductive, essentially, an exercise in futility as well as stupidity. Hence freaks

I know how to control my emotions since I have mistakenly used my one month salary before in gambling.
That's a serious case buddy and I know the feeling of regrets especially when I saw my family suffered from what I've done. We got broke financially.

Anyway, I've learned also my lesson and just gamble every now and then whenever I have spare money.
Well unfortunately, it's hard to control gambling but over time with the experience along the losses we realize we need to than have to.

Can you consciously and willingly stop gambling at any time?
If you can do the above, you have great control and discipline, of course you are not an addict and you deserve to gamble as much as you want.
If not, clarify your ways of stopping gambling.
Of course, I can. Other people can consciously stop gambling but they aren't willing. May be they are chronic gambler, being prejudice lol. Anyway everyone has its own discipline I believe to that factor, but not everyone has the capability of applying it. They knew how bad being too addicted to gambling was but the fighting spirit of continuing on is in there to the point they cannot even stop it. In addition, I believe that for someone to stop he must be with someone who will be the factor for him to stop. Someone close to? Because being alone would be challenging.

Stopping gambling should depend on why the person is gambling, do you know that there are some projects here that supports gambling. And if you advise anyone to stop gambling you may probably discourage them from participating in such project. I am not a gambling addict I'm sure I can control myself. Any gambling that can cost ones health and life is worth quiting.

If you feel an irresistible urge to continue, forcing yourself to stop gambling won't come as painless as you think it should. If you succeed at it (which is not given at all as if it is in fact irresistible, it is, well, irresistible), you will likely start to experience something like the withdrawal syndrome
This is a difficult thing, using our feel to stop our addiction.
As I know, if we have under-pressure situations, our feel doesn't work. And we need someone to stop our actions because we can't stop ourself at addictions

In my case, I can stop gambling.

The thing here is that I am not addicted, as I said I can stop but the problem is that I can't stop playing it. I can say that I am not addicted since I can control it. In fact, I just gamble some satoshis I can get from the gambling sites I can visit in a day. It is a waste of time I can confirm that but the thing is that I am gambling and at the same time losing just my time and not my money.
Its confusing to me, you're not addicted but you cant stop playing it? Anyhow you're not using a huge amount and just a free satoshis from the site so I think you're playing to kill time. In my case I have control and just playing for fun, stopping is not a problem since I dont gamble to double my money.

I have control in terms of gambling. Before I gamble my money, I set a limit where I cannot exceed to 3 hours of playing. It is the best way for me to control my self while doing gambling. Do not gamble with many hours because I'm sure that you will be addicted and the gambling will control you.

More than 2 hours is a long time for me to play gambling. Usually, I spend less than one hour or perhaps less than 30 minutes because I gamble if I want, and I can stop anytime. Probably, you should reduce your time to gamble because with using 2 hours to gamble, I think in a long time, you can spend more money, and the chance for you to get addicted will be bigger. So while you still not addicted to gambling, you should reduce your time in gambling because if you are late to realize, you will regret it when you become addicted to gambling.
People who got addicted in gambling doesn't have control and it is why gambling are controlling them. They keep gamble even they lose money. They have poor mindset and bad pychological mentality because they let themselves to become adted to it. They do not now have control to themselves and they allocate most of their time in gambling. More than 2 hours of gambling is also too long for me.

If that happens, then they need to go to the psychologist and consult their problem in gambling so they can get the way to solve their problem. I am sure that they can get cured if they can share they're addicted to the professional, and perhaps, they will get rehabilitation for their problem. Before the situation becomes worse and we get addicted, it is better to stop gambling, and that is a way for us to control ourselves. When we can prevent ourselves from playing for a long time, I am sure that we can stay away from the addicting to gamble.

Control is a rather mythical thing that everyone aspires to, which I think is right.
But to achieve control, or rather, to realize that control has been achieved, you need to put yourself in a situation in which you usually lose control, and this time hold it.

In my opinion, control is an opportunity to stop gambling painlessly following your strategy during an irresistible desire to continue.
Therefore, it is so important to have a well-developed plan, following which you will not lose control.

Controlling how you gambling does not mean that the person or gambler should completely stop it or else its a personal choice. If could be a strategy that à person develop that keeps him or her going in gambling.

Moreover some gamblers have control at the beginning of their gambling experience, some happens to develop theirs after experiencing series of addiction and recovering from it.
The control that they're referring to is about time and money that you spent on gambling. You should learn how to self-exclusion 'cause when you feel you're playing too much and spent already a lot of money, you can ask to be self-excluded on the game.

Learn how to time-out also, it can be used if you want to keep playing, but handle it by withdrawing yourself from it for a short time. These two things are very important and it's part of the control.

If you are human, you have emotions.  I think you are kidding yourself to believe otherwise, to be in control of those emotions and act rational then sure thats a fair argument but I think its more dangerous to believe any of us as humans can act without carrying some weight of emotional response.
The problem there control wise would be to have a bias to your actions but not acknowledge it, so its more likely to have an effect then.   I think the simpliest solution is a set budget, if you only have a certain amount then inevitably you must gamble profits or walk away at some point and come back another day.  In the mean time away from game you will have time process thoughts and emotions and most likely act better, with more control etc.

Since then, I learned how to put limits especially on staking. It should be handled with discipline and we should just allocate enough funds to sustain it.

It's not a matter of emotions here, people have become stony, I never have emotions during the game, always after the game, or after a big loss, I feel the burden I carry. i have a problem with losing money at gambling, a few days ago i thought i had discipline but i lost all my salary and i realized i was a labile personality.

If not, clarify your ways of stopping gambling.
I am confident to say that I have control on my gambling habits and I can easily stop gambling at any point in time, even when I am on a winning streak. I learned it the hard way when I lost my 1 month salary on gambling alone. Its hard to explain to my wife how I lost it in just day. So i promised to myself never do it again and learn how to discipline my self when I am playing. I dont bring a lot of money with me when I am playing. I dont put too much funds in my wallet used for gambling. It will just temp me to play some more even when I lost a lot already.
They say that experience is the best teacher and in your case it is right, I think we have all experimented a moment in which we lost control of ourselves when we were gambling and we were surprised by the results that we got and then we became determined to never repeat those mistakes again, and for most gamblers that is more than enough to learn their lesson but unfortunately there is a minority of gamblers that cannot really control themselves and no matter what they do they keep losing money to the casinos.

But to achieve control, or rather, to realize that control has been achieved, you need to put yourself in a situation in which you usually lose control, and this time hold it

There is another approach

As you can just try to consciously avoid the situations which trigger your loss of control. Indeed, it is not always possible, but the successful implementation of the approach you mention (i.e. deliberately putting yourself in a situation where you typically lose control and kinda get used to it) is not always possible either. There are things which will always upset you, and losing money, as it seems to me, is one such situation

In my opinion, control is an opportunity to stop gambling painlessly following your strategy during an irresistible desire to continue

Stopping gambling completely seems impossible because this has become my daily activity.

I stopped gambling when I lost and my balance increased by 70% of my total deposit, this I have applied for a long time and is consistent every day and this is also my self-control.

You know I already quit gambling before because I lost a lot of money but after a year I back again to play and for the second time I have control to my self to not be greedy in profit and having a plans or even goals of profit and once you achieve it you start withdraw your money the success in gambling is how you control and having  goal for sure you will not lose more money but you earn money and better to not be addicted to gambling and for now I don't have any plan to stop gambling.
