To stop gambling, it must be on the basis of self-consciousness. There must be a strong will to stop gambling. I myself can now control myself when gambling, it is all because I apply discipline within myself. But I have also been addicted in gambling. But now it's not addicted anymore. And I can at anytime stop gambling and this makes me comfortable.

Can you consciously and willingly stop gambling at any time?
Gambling, for me is one entertainment that can still make money for me.
Control, discipline, are still needed in all games, not only in gambling games, in other places also require self-control of the deeds, what else is clear gambling for me to be priority, relaxed, thorough, patient and not provoked emotions.

When it is said to stop in gambling games it depends on everyone who plays, if I personally gamble it comes and goes as I pleased, no one can forbid and tell me to act.

That is, the decision to play and stop myself controlling it, I am still conscious in making decisions.

If not, clarify your ways of stopping gambling.
Not necessary my ways but I'll just list down some general ways to not stop but control gambling,

- Talk to family members and your closed ones about your problem
- Get professional medical help
- Give control of your money to your accountant or someone who will take care of your spendings
- Keep yourself busy so you don't have time to gamble.

By "simply" the urge of not playing or gambling everyday. The truth is, psychologically, whatever a person do everyday sticks with them and becomes a better part of them that can be difficult to resist.
When gambling becomes a daily habit to you and better part of you, you become addicted. I have followed this little trick by playing ones a month and it works well for me. Though it may not be easy to stop or simple to apply but with self will m, it becomes possible.

The honest truth about it is that it's not easy to have control of yourself when you are gambling at that Moment it's more like an addictive peels that is hard to resist however when you keep your self busy to avoid having enough time
Never think it was easy especially when you are addicted to it but somehow we could make it change and minimize the time in gambling if we would like to have at change. It works to others and there is no reason why it wasn't working with you, mine, or some out there. It really takes time and dedication for a change can't be instant, may you have something to get busy with and might escape from being into gambling addiction.

Of course, it would be something like that because you expect something in return that's why you keep playing and playing until you realize you zeroed your funds. At first if you have the target/goal when gambling you should always put a stop loss or else you will continue to gamble like a madman. Second, you don't gamble to make some cash—you gamble only for fun and nothing else.

Can you consciously and willingly stop gambling at any time?
If you can do the above, you have great control and discipline, of course you are not an addict and you deserve to gamble as much as you want.
If not, clarify your ways of stopping gambling.
That is a long work if we are already in addiction. Of course, I can say myself it was so easy because I'm not addicted to gambling but for those who rely on gambling as a source of income, it is really hard for them to move on and totally forgot gambling.
I could think that having in control of gambling addiction is manageable, yet sometimes we can't escape from spending much time more than usual time spend we used before. But if we still know what is our limitation, I could say we are still in control and anytime we can make out from here.

Gambling addiction does not just randomly kick in. If someone who has the will to stop gambling at any time, this does not mean that he won't become addicted in the future. I have seen and heard about people who had control over their drinking but then ended up becoming an alcoholic since "he drank as much as he want because he thought he could control his addiction". The same thing applies here. If a person can control his gambling activities, he still does not deserve to gamble as much as he wants.

therapy can also help, of course.
Therapy is an important aspect of curing an addiction, and gambling addiction is similar to any other kind, and should be handled as such. Anyone addicted to gambling should seek professional advise to cope with it. Gamble responsibly and only with cash you can afford to lose.

But gambling for me is all about FUN not making a new financial life for myself  (since thats what BITCOIN is for)
I can stop my gambling at any second I decide to but since I am having fun and winning I dont see no reason to stop the fun Im having

Stop betting will not be a problem when we realize that how hard we worked to earn that betting amount then we may not have thought to bet again and again once we are on losing streak, this is my way of stopping from over betting. But for someone the money is not a problem they still have to limit themselves from over bets because they will get addict to it for that they have to be with someone who keep telling their limits.

<....> most of the time people who do play gamble will always chase their losses.

I agree with you, in other words, someone who likes to gamble usually does not have control/cannot control himself, he tends to have a strong desire to continue gambling. Even a gambling addict will consider a gambling as a necessity.
^ Just because of greed and most gamblers are the same attitude. Chasing money or chasing lose is not good practice and having self-control is a must. This is because of their strong emotions that they followed not just their minds. Probably, people were turned into this addiction because they are not self-oriented on possible consequences. So, how lucky we are we can manage and control our selves because we know right here the possible cause.
Easy to advise but most of gamblers here wont able to do such thing on where they do make such limits- I bet on that one!
Each of us do really have that will and discipline. It would just vary on how you foreseen things on and be sensible on possible outcomes
that might happen. As part of common sense, if you dont like to experience unfortunate thing then you will surely stop as early as you can.

Yes I am aware and willing to stop gambling, but in the past I was not willing to stop or even take a break for only a few days, because in the past I really made gambling as a source of income until in the end the pressure increased in life. Maybe if that happens to you, at least you will be aware and can change your mindset to make more sense not to make gambling as a source of income, and that's when you are able to stop gambling.

I am not a gambling addict and only often play gambling when I want to play it, so I can still control and discipline not to play anymore, but what I know for those who are addicted is difficult to discipline and they continue to play gambling without thinking.

You can't blame them, all you need to do is to educate them and share them the discipline that you're talking about. You can't control someone who is blind about the truth of playing gambling. Don't judge them because of what they are doing with their money. Maybe that's their way of making big profits.

Those people who you said that is difficult to discipline are people who lack knowledge about good decision making. That is the thing you should develop in gambling other than discipline. Being wise decision-maker will help you to grow more.

The approach is very important if you are gambling, to have some fun and you consider your gain as an added extra so you can use your winnings as your betting fund in the next gambling round when you want to gamble again, then you are on a safe zone, you don't have to play the whole day for people to call you an addict, as long as you can get out of it, anytime you want it.

I'm not an addicted to gambling, but I could say that I have such discipline in me in which I instantly move away on a thing that's not interesting anymore to me, like when I get bored. For example, I am playing DICE today and after almost 12 hours straight of playing, I already wore out the excitement that I'm feeling on it the first time I play it, therefore the next day, I am going to play another game or I will just probably find gambling boring because of too many losses, and I don't like that.

Most of the time, I will look for another thing to do that is not going to be like gambling or the first thing I've tried and turns out that it doesn't really good at all. I like more things that could give me excitement for a long period of time.

I can. I have flaws, like all of us, but mine are not related to free will. When I was in fourth grade or so, a teacher gave us an unusual task: buy your favorite candies, put them on a visible place at home and don't eat them for a week. See how good you are at controlling your will. I passed the challenge without serious issues. I don't really have this thing when I cannot resist the temptation to do something. I'm saying all that because I think that if one is good at self-control in general, it will apply to gambling as well. And if one often cannot make oneself from doing something regretful, then gambling is a very dangerous field. One has to be strong and responsible to avoid getting addicted. But when one's already addicted, it might take more than a strong will to let go IMO.
