Hello everyone, my question is: how often do you invest in new and young projects? Aren't you afraid of losing money if the project closes?

I want to invest in a promising project called Yearnlab. Their token sale starts on 7th Dec and I think this is a good opportunity to successfully invest money.
It is not really that important if you are investing into a new project or an old project. Most of the time you know what is good or what is horrible on first sight. I could check out a project that is not released yet, and check one that was released 5 years ago and do not tell me which one is which, and I would not be able to figure it out. So, it is about the quality of the project and not the amount of time it has been around.

There are some cases where how long they have been around matters as well, such as "do they keep their promise" or "would they be able to keep it going" because those things require people to watch and see if it will happen or not. Aside from a few things, a brand new project could be much much better than thousands of bad projects that have failed so far, we have seen so many shitcoins that I doubt anything new could be much different.

I still participate in IDO on several launch platforms such as BSCstation, Polkabridge, oxbull and many others, several IDO platforms that I participate in provide ROI which I think is good, but still we have to be prepared with the risks, for example when token listing, the price will change. down and if we hold it, then it's a choice, whether the price will go up or down.
There is no guarantee of profit in investment because everything is very risky, you can see the launchpad held by Binance, there you will see how much profit you will receive.

I refused to participate in such launch platforms, since they all require holding a large number of coins, which have almost all lost in their price. And I plan to sell these coins as soon as they return to the price at which I bought them. My focus right now is on investing at an earlier stage of coin sales.

In the crypto market, you need to accept high risks when investing in new projects, even those that are advertised by many people still have certain risks. For me, I often choose projects that have products and utilities that bring real value. The project development team must be transparent, experienced, and the roadmap must be clear. The fact that they manage the community and support investors when they have questions is also an important factor. However, these do not guarantee that the project will be 100% successful, you need to analyze the project carefully before making a decision.

As long as I believe that it is a good project then I will invest, I am happy and accustomed to investing in new projects since 2016, and the results are very satisfying because I can get big profits even with only a small capital, the key is to hold for the long term then we will profit.

Of course I will invest if I think the company can grow in a measurable time. But in this case I will be extra careful in reviewing it and it will takes a lot of consideration to invest or not after.
One of my considerations is, in which segment this company will sell their products, whether they follow the current trend or not.
The team is also be my consideration, whether they are credible or not, also a clear portfolio of each team member must be clear.
Despite all that, investing in a new company is full of risks, I prefer to start buying their coins one week after listed on a big market than going to be early bird and dying because of the obscurity of a company.

Before, I really don't.

I have trust issues for the new projects. But this time, by just adding time for researching before I invest, that makes me more confident with what I'm about to invest.

It's just about how I'll manage to research and as well know more about the project I'm interested.

Yes, I do invest in new projects. But before investing I do my own research regarding what the project is, who is the team leading the project what is their roadmap and what problem is the project solving. If I find these points reasonable then and then only I go ahead with the next steps like checking their website, coinmarketcap page. Most of the times it's good if you find a good project to invest at an early stage.

It still depends on the project because there are lots of potential projects but there are also projects that are just being hyped. I usually check the background as well as the team behind the project to make sure that I wouldn't regret investing in it in the end. Investing in a new project is too risky so it needs further research first.

If you have investigated this project and you trust it, you should invest. But don't forget to comply with risk-management. Never invest money that you can't afford to lose. Even if you believe in this project and think that it has a good potential, there are still risks that it will not pump from the very beginning so in order not to be in big losses, don't invest too much.
More precisely, use cold money for investment because after all we don't know whether the project is really promising or vice versa,
There is always a risk and we have to think about the risk too.
What is clear is that you will continue to follow the progress of the project

That’s right. When investing in new or in any projects, even with the feasibility of having the potential for booming, there still risk in doing such. So, before proceeding to invest, the project must be studied, monitored and assessed to be able to make an educated decision. And of course, it is crucial to follow the project’s progress up until it get officially listed for exchange.

Yes! I do but  only in good projects backed by Professional and idea is innovative. I mostly invested in DeFi projects back in 2020 when DeFi was booming and huge investment was coming in projects like Pancakeswap, Apeswap, paraswap and Zappswap. I made good profit in 2020 but back in 2018 I had worst experince of investing in ICOs and most of them were never listed on any good exchange.

I haven't seen the details of the project, but As an investor who wants to participate in IDO, I need to take a little risk to get a profit, the first thing I did was look at the project partners, for example I invested in IDO Widiland, because they have good game products and partners that I can trust, so I invest in the project, you can see how much ROI has been generated from IDO.
Other projects I'm currently monitoring are IDO Solchicks and 123swap.
Some IDO may be profitable if the team puts a large amount of LP on the exchange, it will affect the price of the coin in the market.

Need real understanding if i want to invest in new project, team appraisal, investor, ICO etc, not easy to make direct investment, For that I usually see a year or two of the project's progress, then I decide to invest if it's feasible and profitable I do, if not, of course I don't.

I invested $ 1,500 in a new project called Birb. They are due to release BIRB NFTs & NFT Marketplace this month. After that, they release Game BirbBattles + they should release FlockProtocol (Flagship Feature - will allow you to send private $ BIRB transactions and protect the privacy of the sender.) I think the project will make a good profit.
indeed the current situation is in a bad situation and we can see from the movement of bitcoin which continues to be corrected which will clearly affect all the growth of new projects. You are obviously very lucky if the birb you buy will develop because that is the best way to be able to create new projects, can continue to develop and make progress and will always be able to attract investors to join too. and it's hard to get the right project to develop properly, you're one of the lucky ones.

If there is a reason and if ever I could see a light from them, why not? It was just the same as investing the top coins, yet we only just need assurance for a profit which sometimes holds us and think not to invest them (new projects). Because if that is all we think, we definitely see no new projects will survive and be given the chance to grow. It needs community support as well but provided that it was legit and has a use-case or else, nobody thinks about risking their money.

I do not do it and I think everyone probably knows why, the market of new coins is full of scammers, a decent project that appears once in a while but I am not going to waste my time looking for that project for months and then come empty handed, after all we know that even if there is a small minority that earns money with those coins the vast majority losses their money, as it is way more likely that you will invest in a scam pretending to be a good project than to invest in a project that is actually good.

Yes I think now a days people are showing their most interest in METAVERSE tokens. That giving so much profit within a short time. I invested some of money in blokotopia , even in ATLAS,. Hopefully they will give me a good profit. Even you can
Buy some ETH in deep because it is breaking it's ATH every day . Now a days gaming projects are highlighted . So these are also better option for earn a good profit
There is a lot of hype in the Metaverse tokens but not all projects are rallying like you expect, there are a certain coins that are rallying a lot and it is due to their marketing and the hype they were able to generate.

ETH is breaking all time highs and because of that reason i will not be investing in them as the correction is always a possibility. If you already hold the coins, then you can take positions but investing now is always a high risk.
