Well, to shorten up all the questions, the limitations that I have financially and time-wise contributes as to why I rarely gamble in poker right now. When I was doing full time poker many years ago, my limitations are always based on what I carry and what my initial gambling amount on that night would be. If I managed to win then I stop, and yes I am somewhat lucky that the setup of the poker house sometimes requires us to change tables. That way I am able to prevent myself from getting carried away from too much gambling. If I lose the money limit that I have, I simply stop and then go home and gamble again once I have the money from the poker house - I would call it a salary, that's why I am very careful in gambling with the money. Good thing I was introduced to cryptocurrency and my life changed because of that.

I used to play poker too way back then and based on my experience I really have a lot of time spent playing or gambling than staying on our home and using my time in a productive way. Sometimes I do spend much money than the amount that I used to set as my limitations, i lost more than I win. Now I used all of my losing experience to put a limitations on myself while gambling. I need to change my gambling habits to save myself from huge losses again.
The habit of gambling without limits is bad behavior and can certainly damage your family's finances and even worse, it may destroy your family, I have personally seen several families being destroyed by gambling and drinking around my house, that's why that's the reason for me not to gamble often, because I know very well that if we are addicted to gambling it will be very difficult to let go of it and nowadays if I gamble, I just do it for fun playing cards with some of my friends, even then the stakes are very small and set a limit of only around $ 50.

This is very true - just like many games, it can be very easy to fall into a trap and lose track of time but you must control it. You only have to look at physical world casinos that understand this psychological trap and want you to keep playing for as long as possible. In real world casinos they use all kinds of tricks - removing clocks, making it difficult to navigate out and keeping it as bright as possible so you are unaware of the time of day. Another very dangerous downside to playing for too long is your concentration will naturally wain after a while - it might be at hour one, it might be at hour four, but when it goes your decision making will be much poorer.

I personally have never gambled traditional or offline poker but even so, when I realized there were the best times to gamble online poker then I started limiting my time for gambling poker. Indeed, things like this are difficult to realize at first but when we get to know more about the characteristics and cards that are obtained, then at least we will get the best times to start playing and when to stop, at least so I can limit the time to bet on poker.

Being healthy doesn't mean having a longer life. It means having better life right now.
That depends on how you view the perspective of it but both can be correct.
-Better to go solo because im bit a shy type of person
You haven't experienced to gamble with your friends, mate? I advise you to do and try that because it's more fun if you do that. Just join with your friends that are good and down for it.

+1 on that. It is much more fun to win with friends, because you will have plenty of time to let them know how superior your betting skills are Smiley Just joking, it is just better to watch the games with people or play poker with people you know. And I guess it involves some learning and evolution which may not happen when alone or when playing and wagering with strangers. I think most people bet in group as least in sports and mostly to make these more interesting. Soccer and others sometimes are boring if not.
By far this is the more entertaining way to gamble, whether you go to the casino or you play directly against your friends in a game like poker or you make a few sport bets against each other there is nothing like the fun you get when you gamble against them, and it is not difficult to understand why, not only you are taking part in an activity with people you already like but also you can give a lot of heat and make fun of each other depending how the bet goes and that is always very entertaining so you get some fun whether you win or lose.

yes, there are even some studies on how people with bonding friendships have the tendency to have better life at old age.
I saw something like that, that having at least 4 close friends was really good for happiness
obviously there are subjective aspects to it as well.

Both are important, after all we know that our time and our money are both valuable resources, but in the case of money you an always get more back but when it comes to your time this is not the case, maybe this is why the OP asked if we limited the time we spent gambling and not the money, even if many people do not think too much of the time they use on their daily activities our time is many times more valuable than our money and the more money you have the more true this becomes.
Of course, both our time and our money are very important, if we only limit our money without limiting our time that is not good. Because every
human being must make the best use of his time, if we spend too much time playing gambling it's bad. We must be able to use the time we have
wisely, there are many things we have to do in our lives. Playing gambling is for entertainment only, so it's not good if we spend a lot of time
playing gambling.
Be mindful on how to spend up your time wisely for it to be efficient and would be resulting for you to be productive and make out some income but if you do have
the vacant time since you are rich ones neither from your work or business or simply with inheritance then you wouldnt really look into these things but
rather focus out yourself into something which will really entertain you and this is always be targeting about gambling.
Limiting yourself not only with time but also into your finances is important because if you dont then
expect on what would be the consequences.

We really have to use our time efficiently, so that we become more productive in living life. I agree with some rich people who have a lot of
money, sometimes they have free time, because they already have many assets that can be a source of income. Therefore rich people have
more time to play gambling, and not a few end up rich people who suddenly become poor because of gambling addiction. So this is
the possible consequence of all the choices in our life, therefore the importance of limiting time and money. And also always make sure that
gambling is only for entertainment, so when playing gambling we must be able to control ourselves. Don't get addicted to gambling, because
it will only ruin our lives.

I only gamble when my circumstances are relaxed and in free time, and when playing I limit my betting capital and if I lose I will stop playing according to the capital I prepared beforehand and if I win a few times I will stop and try to stop at position Indeed.
because I have a real job that I have to prioritize especially in terms of time, so I play erratically and rarely gamble only when there is a feeling of wanting to gamble and spending free time forgetting what's on my mind, and I play casually not expecting to win because I don't give much capital, and sometimes luck is on my side.
That's pretty good considering not everyone who gambles can do that, it takes a lot of discipline to stop whenever you want to stop and to choose when to gamble. And also you have a job which makes it harder because you have a lot of money that you can possibly spend on your gambling habits.

indeed, one things that helps in terms of creating discipline on everyday life is creating systems
you can have a fixed % of salary each month that you use for savings, for donating, for gambling, etc...

once you create a good system to you its just a matter of sticking to it.

I don't limit my gambling time but I do limit my deposit so I wouldn't be addicted to it.
There is no need to limit the gambling time you just need to limit the money you spend on gambling.
Let's just say you did limit your gambling time but on those limited hours you would continuesly deposit everytime you lose then it would still be useless.

There is no need to limit the gambling time you just need to limit the money you spend on gambling.
That means that you're going to stop as any time you want or until you're able to burn all of your deposits.

Let's just say you did limit your gambling time but on those limited hours you would continuesly deposit everytime you lose then it would still be useless.
You have a point and if the deposit is quite big and you keep on depositing every single lose, that only means that you're burning more with the fees not with what you gamble.

Big money is hard to measure because that depends on a gambler's capacity.

The basic principle when gambling is to gamble what you can afford to lose, one can gamble 1 dollar but if he can't afford that, it's too big for him, and on the other side one can gamble 1 million which is too big for others but he can afford that since he is a billionaire and it doesn't matter if he lose because he can move on.

Bottom line is, "gamble what you can afford only".
I agree with "gamble what you can afford only" as we do not have to use all money or big money to gamble because the percentage to win will not bigger as we think. If we can realize that, we will not risk that money, but we can still play gambling until we can feel that it is enough to have fun in gambling.

Playing gambling with $1 will be enough for a short time and I think we can enjoy that moment without thinking to use more money. The problem that a gambler faces is that they are curious about the result and ask themselves why they can not win some money.

when it comes to the long term unless we are incredibly lucky or we play a game of skill then it is almost impossible to beat the casino, and that is fine because that is something that we should have known from the very beginning and the one that does not is an irresponsible gambler.
But my question is, why you should gamble even after well aware of what is going to happen in the end? Do not answer like for entertainment purposes, because I am having 100s of other methods to have fun for zero costs. So in my opinion, just being aware of what is going to happen in the end of the day, will not make you as a responsible gambler; moreover I do see if you gamble then you are perfect suitable to call as a irresponsible persons even you win for a day because one or other you will lose more than what you won in your entire life. That's gambling.

There will be no need to worry on limiting gambling when we not at all gamble, right? Quit gambling completely and then you will start progressing in your life in all means.
Since you have taken away the entertainment option then I will say that a good reason to know how to gamble and do it occasionally is for business purposes, where I live just as there are many businesses that are closed playing golf, at an office or at a restaurant, many businessmen like the idea of closing deals at the casino, I know it is not the best place to do this with all the noise and that this is a very limited market but without the option of playing for entertainment purposes this is the first thing that came to my mind.
