The more valuable Bitcoin becomes, the more difficult it becomes for many to have a single Bitcoin. Cumulatively, I believe I should be hodling one Bitcoin (at least) since my exposure to the crypto industry. Regrettably, I don't have ATM because of my involvement in trading and of using it in solving basic needs. I believe this is the same situation for most people too who've been here longer than five years. This is going to get worse with years as price and value increase.

That chart is not accurate as a person could have 10 wallets containing .1 btc each

or group of persons having 1 wallet containing 100 btc.

The way I'm seeing this statement you make here, i know that 1 wallet of bitcoin will contain more than 100 bitcoin and unless you don't want to put all your coins in one bitcoin address because of security purpose of hacking the account, i know that hacking of bitcoin wallet is easier depending for the wallet you are using to bank your Bitcoin, a group of person can have 1 wallet that contains large account but the wallet will be like escrow were everyone will know the in and out of the coin

It's a yes for me..i am a believer of Bitcoin. I believe in the capacity of earning with Bitcoin. I believe that the price will increase if not this year, i believe in the next generation. So, i will let my investment with bitcoin and buy again when i have more savings
the earning capacity of bitcoin is certainly a real thing, there are many people who are rich in bitcoin. If you believe and continue to want to hold on to it is a good choice, the important thing is that you know what you are doing. Buy and continue to increase the bitcoin stock you have until you finally reach your target price.
Even though I'm in 2022, I still don't have 1 BTC, but at least I feel I have more than 1 BTC in previous years.

No need to reply here. Just vote and reply voted so the thread does not fall down. Your vote is secret!

I wonder why to keep it secret ?
Is it too embarrassing to say whether you hold 1 BTC or not ?
or Is it too embarrassing to tell that you can't afford to hold at least one Bitcoin ?
As a Bitcoin lover and investor you should be open minded to these type of things.
I can proudly say that, I have like around 0.5 BTC in my wallet? And yes I am trying to buy as many Bitcoins as possible in this dip.
And yes I see many people are debating here for 1 BTC club, I am saying let's make Bitcoin Lovers Club. We won't judge whether you hold 1 BTC or 1 Satoshi.

Although the forum is also anonymous among the members but not all, I also have a few friends and they are also members of this forum. So, in my opinion going public is not advisable, not for the sake of face when someone is holding very little bitcoin but for the privacy of each individual.

I can tell people that I am a crypto investor and what my portfolio consists of but I won't be able to tell people how many assets I hold. That is indeed a delicate question and very difficult to answer.
I totally agree with you, it's a security matter. In any other forum would ask to a question like "who owns $1 mln?" probably no, right? This is the same, but I noticed that many people don't have the same privacy concerns for crypto like the do with dollars etc, frankly I don't understand why. It's something private, BTC, gold, dollars, why should someone give out these infos besides for ego reasons?

I'm kinda happy with what I got and I am not trying to chase any numbers, Do I doubt I will be hitting the 1 BTC mark. Also, I went for diversification of my coins and I would say that's a much safer and smarter plan than just throwing all your eggs in the same basket.

So many things have changed and there are still many who have not been able to have full bitcoin due to many reasons and one of them is being negligent about what prices will be after five years but even if you have some small and still hoarding them it's good move and you must carry on.Those who have are already in high profits within five years time period only.

Yes it's true that we used to be too negligent and judged that 5 years ago the value of bitcoin would never be that high but we see now for those who have bought 5 years ago and have maintained until now maybe they have already benefited from one- third of their funds  and it sure is fun.
If time could turn back, maybe I would have bought bitcoin at least 1bitcoin.

Diversification to shitcoins isn't safer than investing on Bitcoin only, because shitcoins have higher risk than Bitcoin and wouldn't survive for long time, if survive then the price are become worthless. No to mention almost of shitcoins always follow Bitcoin price, this mean when Bitcoin is dump, the others will dump. Then your diversification are failed, consider to other commodities e.g. gold, real estate, stock, precious metal.

Me too, I don't have 1 bitcoin right now because it is too expensive for me, but I do have small portion of it and other coins that I am still hodling this bear market. I am strictly managing my assets since it is not too big so that I can survive my finances this season. If I will be paid for my other jobs, I'll buy small portion of it again.

I do not own 1 bitcoin, and the sad thing is that 1 bitcoin is not even enough to like retire or be rich or anything in my nation, even though I am from a poor nation. Of course, it is not a big deal in places like the USA or the UK, because it is a small amount there, but even in my nation with under 300 dollars per month minimum wage, we are talking about something that is not that rich with 30k, even though that is 100 months of minimum wage.

I suppose you could use that as capital and get in some debt and then get richer, if you are lucky you would make that into something bigger but that is usually nothing that much of a big deal at all.

Even though I have it in the amount of 1 Bitcoin in its entirety, it feels much better to keep it a secret. It's not that I don't want to vote, because the results don't show who the real owner is. Need to show Bitcoin balance? that would also be very unkind. To be honest, people will be much more secretive about Bitcoin holdings. Showing it off just for compliments?
but in fact for now, many people like to show off their assets to others like they buy a new car they will post on social media or other because they want to be seen as successful people and like praise from others.

Don't be a person, be yourself. Don't care about other people showing off what they really have and are capable of. Because it's for prestige to increase followers. Usually done by influencers, artists and people who have an image in the public sphere.

We don't need to imitate such things, if it is only for the purpose of getting praise. There is no output whatsoever, because we are not influencers. It's a different story if you have a big influence in the eyes of the public. but still the impression is negative.

I've known Bitcoin since the end of 2017 but until now, I've never had 1 Bitcoin lol...

I'm not rich and I don't have a steady income either so that's when I get Bitcoin from the campaigns I participate in (the average is signature campaigns) then I only save about 15% (everything I earn). currently the total bitcoin I hold is around 0.04 BTC Grin

Do you own 1 Bitcoin?

No, I do not own 1 BTC yet. But, when I do, I am going to hold it.
In comparison to five years ago, I believe more people will answer "No" to this question now.

How I wish I’ll be one of those who have owned 1 BTC, especially that I was hacked almost a month ago in which I am planning to invest some of those into Bitcoin. Right now, I’m just putting a little bit of my funds every month to BTC for building long-term wealth through dollar-cost averaging (DCA).
Every body wishes to have similar as you taught, 1Bitcoin is not easy to have or gain from investment, you can only succeed having it when you strategies for investment, especially purchasing bitcoin when the price is down low and hold for period of time, right now i will encourage people not to buy altcoins that much because of market structure. From personal opinion, your investment should go more of bitcoin and other valuable coins that you can convert to stable coin when you notice degree of cryptocurrency falling

I would hazard a guess that it is mostly
unachievable for the majority at this stage.
Is it though? I mean, at current value that's what you'd expect to earn from a yearly salary right? Obviously, not on minimum wage, but I believe the average wage is just below that. I don't know exactly in the US, and what the US dollar equivalent is, but I do believe the UK is around 24k, which would be around about the price it's at now.

So theoretically, those that can offer their services for Bitcoin, just as they do with fiat could earn similar amounts. I don't think it's unachievable at the moment. If we see the price increase to upwards of $100k, that's when a lot of people will be priced out, well of owning one BItcoin anyway. Not that it's important, just interested why you'd think something which could be achieved in a year by many, would be unachievable. Even earning half of that, it would take two years. Obviously, the fluctuating costs of Bitcoin might go against you, but I imagine we'll be at a rather low point for a while.

Yea anyone could work for Bitcoin instead of FIAT but its another thing holding on
to the earnings, bills have to be paid etc. so after 1 year of earning Bitcoin instead
of FIAT there wouldnt be much left especially in the current economic climate
of rising cost of living.

is it possible to earn £24k per year in Bitcoin along with your regular FIAT salary?

Compare ourselves living in western european countries to weaker economies where
the average wage is far less.

From my own standing there wouldnt be a hope for me to buy 1 bitcoin at current rate
of ~$30k and I havent been
able to save $30k in the last 30 years.

But I agree that in the very near future it will be more unachievable as the price
rises past $100k

It's not about being embarrassed but wanting to avoid any chance for $5 wrench attack in case your identity leaks out.

As a Bitcoin lover and investor you should be open minded to these type of things.
That doesn't mean that you should shout around how much bitcoin you have. All my close friends and family know that I am into bitcoin but I don't share with them how much I have exactly, even though I live in the part of the world with very low crime rate but why even take any chance?
