I ask this because after viewing multiple threads and discussions I can say many of the users seem a bit naive to say the least and I wonder to myself if they even own bitcoin. I ask myself "Does this person even have a wallet?" So I am just curious to what numbers I can crunch here.

Everyone now can easily manage to get sdopme satoshi so, to have a more meaningful answer from this poll,  you better rewrite, imho, poll question asking : "Do you own equal or more than xxx (a significative amount let's say 0.25 or 0.5 or something else) of bitcon?

Yep, of course, but I've earned it all from my site https://www.bitz-bee.com. I've never actually bought a bitcoin.

It is fascinating to see the amount of users in here who have limited knowledge of bitcoin, blockchain, wallets and all the benefits this brings.

And all the ways you can move your money around the world and escape a lot of transaction times, fees, taxes, as well as increase investment etc etc etc

always remember the 10000 btc pizza

the time that guy found 7500btc he forgot he had

the time everyone said sucked in for buying btc at $1 then $10 then $100 it is dying

and so no and so on and so on and so on and so on and so on

I like this one mentioned about 18months ago "merchants will never adopt btc"

Ok, what I don't understand is why so many people only own a fraction of a bitcoin - why not buy a whole bitcoin now while the price is so low? If you're an enthusiast enough to be on bitcointalk - you should have at least 5 bitcoin. Or else you don't really believe it will go anywhere.

OMG!! You're so smart. Now I understand, why all those people in Africa and other places around the world are dying of hunger. They don't believe in Food!!

Stupid me, always thought that they couldn't afford it.

You twisted it very well, twister.

But you're both right about the way reality works.
Humanity got it all backwards.

Believing is Seeing. Not the other way around. No kidding.

Really?
I don't think its necessary. I have been following bitcoins, and never have I thought that it would replaced FIAT as a currency. Its use will always be its technology.

Because they don't have the money to buy a whole bitcoin. It is as easy as that.

Most of us here have a wallet (at the very least). I have some Bitcoin. Umm.. Satoshi.

I think all members here own some bitcoin. Most members like me own less than 1btc and a minority will have more than 10btc. The more they have, the less likely they are going to take part in this poll  Smiley

Agree, the more they have. The less likely they are going to vote.

The real question should be, "what's the point of buying bitcoin so I can spend it on goods and services that I can already buy with fiat. Why should I take the extra step?" Unless companies like Microsoft and Time also begin offering employee pay in bitcoin, we're going to see continued selling.

I don't have a credit card, so I can buy things online only in my country, in stores that have the option of paying on delivery. Bitcoin is allowing me to shop online in the whole world.
