OP looks like we have things in common, I also use Litecoin to make payments, it's super fast and cheap. but in my case my usage is very limited, i can only pay refills and i also use litecoins to make transfers from one place to another, to save fees. I won't lie, I don't use bitcoin to make payments and I don't use it to make transfers

The main source of payment in cryptocurrency is bitcoin
What do you mean? I don't understand this statement. In my understanding, there is no main source of payment in crypto. People are free to use whatever coin they want to pay, as long as it is acceptable. Instead, I thought people prefer to hold their Bitcoin than use it for payment purposes now. The reason is clear, that all of us believe the Bitcoin price probably to increase significantly at the end of this year.

Or he could be mean that the first crypto that has been accepted by the merchants is Bitcoin.
But base on his full statement, he said he  usually use Bitcoin more often during transactions rather than any other coin in his wallet.
Neverthless, we can choose different kinds of coins today when we purchase using crypto.

Using Bitcoin as payment is okay, but nowadays the transaction time is partially higher rather than other altcoins.
For example, I don't want to wait much time after depositing funds to a gambling platform, but if I send funds via Bitcoin sometimes it will take more than 30 minutes even if I use the next block fees, this is very annoying. For this reason most of the time I use XRP when I have a little hurry.

In my community many customers prefer to pay with ethereum after purchase of goods some years ago, but since bitcoin price increase to another level few months ago, the population of bitcoin users in the market is more popular than ethereum recently in the community. Many sellers in my community now swatch to bitcoin payment since many of their old customer now prefer to buy any products and pay with bitcoin. There are many stores in the community who are now accepting bitcoin as a payment without involving fiat money before the customer can go with their goods from the store.

He could mean that the value of coin depends on Bitcoin and that's how the merchant or a service provider could base their rate/pricing when you're buying or subscribing for their service using crypto.

I am very eager to make crypto payments. When I receive any online service, Firstly I look for the cryptocurrency option to pay. Another thing is that I only use gambling websites that support crypto deposits. Honestly last year I paid for Bitcoin for various purposes but earlier this year I paid for Litecoin and Ripple due to very high Bitcoin transaction fees. I gave job some people to edit photos with photoshop, that was a background removal task from photo. I paid them for the work with Litecoin.

So far, I'm also still using Fiat. not want to use bitcoin or other crypto. however, this goes back to my country's regulations which prohibit using crypto as an alternative payment. as a compliant citizen, I abide by those rules. however, my country does not prohibit using crypto as a place of investment but at your own risk.
to be honest, if I wanted to use crypto as an indirect means of payment, I converted it to fiat currency at the time, and used it. indirectly, I use crypto as a means of payment. Well, at least that's what I thought. I think people in countries that have the same regulations do what I do.

If crypto is not legalized in one country then there are not much options to spend crypto there and buying something online in crypto can also make you suspicious. There are many countries where use of decentralized crypto is not legalized.
I am also from a country where crypto is banned, so only option left for me and people like me is to HODL and convert my profit into fiat. So far it good experience, since I don't have options to spend BTC most of BTC are bound to HODL (blessing in disguise).

I am not said that bitcoin is bad as payment because now there are a lot of solution already came for bitcoin transaction problem (which is fee transaction and speed of it) but i personally if want accept crypto as payment, because i am not a speculator i will use stable coin. For now there are a lot of networks that can be used and i don't need to afraid if want to hold payment from people, it is same with what i want to use as payment, because stablecoin is stable, and sometime we not want to pay more when price of other coin which dumped and then pumped again.

Bitcoin is the father of all coins. All other coins are sub coins. Most of the sub coin move with the rise and fall of BTC. But some of them have the ability not to have much effect on the movement of bitcoin as Ethereum etc. Although, The main source of payment in cryptocurrency is bitcoin. But sometimes I have to use some others coin according to the requirement of my trade or business.

If it is for a payment purpose, I prefer to use stable coins because the price is relatively stable or no big changes. It will be easier to determine how much to spend it for paying something. Stable coins such as USDT also have an option for low transaction fees with TRC20 network. So, when we need to pay something with that coin, we don't have a problem with the transaction fees.

Bitcoin on paying up Steam wallet funds and buying some Windows 10 license key online paying up and using bitcoin. The rest i do havent have any experience since im not really minding much on spending my coins and hold them for long term.As long i could able to do so with fiat or purchase them easily without the need on spending my crypto then this is mostly on what i do.

the advantage definitely got by two side, and i dont think if people loss their opportunity to have big profit when trade with bitcoin. prefer to pay something with bitcoin than the other, because the basic coin we use is bitcoin.
in my place, i never make transaction use crypto, no one know about bitcoin. and when they know, just collect it as much as they can to improve their life.

if given a chance of course i keep paying using My altcoins , but in my country there are very few that we can use crypto as payment method as most of the time we need to convert first into Fiat before transacting.

but my mostly use coin is Ripple because i have bought XRP when the price is super Low and now  i am enjoying the opportunity to use as payment tools.
actually paying with crypto is not as bad as imagined.
it seems a shame to do but it doesn't hurt to try this just to add to the experience.
at least this is important for that although indeed when it comes to the prospects of crypto which is quite good in the future but it is not wrong to try this.
it's clear that can directly pay with crypto for purposes that we might also do using fiat. of course it is better to use it directly with crypto so that it obviously saves a few steps of work and may possibly reduce the burden of fees that must be incurred.
agree with you that there is no harm in trying to do while there is a chance to do so.
as long as it becomes easier and can cut the work that might be reduced, of course there is no harm in doing it and not reducing the essence of the purpose of what we are going to do.
That's right, apart from saving time, this will also save you more than you converting into fiat first, because of course when you see the essence that bitcoin's purpose is as a means of payment and it starts from here.
on the other hand, the reason why many people don't want to pay via bitcoin is because the price is sometimes unpredictable in the future, therefore they prefer to hold it and use fiat as a means of payment.

I will always prefer to keep my Bitcoin secured and not to use them due to its fast growing and widely acceptance. Using of any other currency would be a best idea to keep the bitcoin secured for any unpredictable situations. Also for any international payments I would prefer to use bitcoin as its globally acceptable.

^ It is always good to use BTC in international transactions if you want to send money abroad, it is easy to transfer across borders in a hassle free.
I used BTC before spending it purchasing a crypto-related book online, I don't have any bank account to use but there is one shop store that I use to purchase a book and that was a successful transaction and the first book that I bought was I keep it until now. There is nothing wrong if we threaten BTC is a good investment and an asset that we keep value and hope that it will grow and can be profitable someday. This is the reason why people do hold BTC because the value was keep growing and it means they will gain on it.

Honestly I'm a FIAT guy But if the payment option only uses cryptocurrency I am more comfortable using stable coins like USDT / BUSD for payments than using other cryptocurrencies that have the potential to increase in value. It can make me regret using it.
there is always an impact that will be received from payments using crypto, because indeed every time there are fluctuations that we cannot know. If it increases, it will certainly lose, but if it decreases, it will benefit. but I agree with you and agree that it is better to use Fiat than crypto or it can be with a USDT/BUSD stable coin.
indeed we will always imagine a loss if the situation is indeed crypto rises and will obviously make its own regrets.

Just careful of the risk involved when you are planning to put it all in stablecoins, as they can be frozen even if it is in your own non-custodial wallets.

Edit: Somehow I recall this thread back in 2019 about the stablecoins frozen even in people's own wallet. [UPDATED] PSA: Most Stablecoins Can Be Frozen, Even in Your Own Wallets

I want to pay with Stable coin and Litecoin. Although i love Bitcoin and Ethereum  But it is much more transcation fees which will too much the transaction fee more than the price if you buy a less expensive product. So it will better to use Litecoin and any Stable coin Like USDT/BUSD.
