I am interested what do you guys use for payments.

I like Litecoin paying the most (superfast and supercheap) but I am not afraid to pay with Bitcoin.

Doing this little research because I am preparing project
I will appreciate honest answers and comments

Thank you
Using Litecoin as the payment will be an alternative to using bitcoin as the fee is not too high. But I do not use crypto as the payment to buy a product or pay for some services because I prefer to convert to fiat or buy a Paypal balance from my sellers.

I am trying to save my bitcoin and not use it for paying something because I see the potential of bitcoin price rising so high is wide open. After what happen to bitcoin reaching $64k, I believe that the price will increase more than that price.

Litecoin is indeed an altcoin that has low fees for transactions, but to my knowledge, people who use it as payment is still rare. Most use Litecoin
to send funds, the problem is that it is still very rare for merchants to accept payments with Litecoin, so Litecoin is rarely used for payments.
Most merchants only accept payments with Bitcoin, but we know Bitcoin transaction fees are quite expensive. With the price of Bitcoin reaching $64k
it is better to save rather than spend it on buying something. Because there is a possibility that the price of Bitcoin will continue to rise and reach
new ATH at the end of this year. But if there is an urgent need, I can't help but be forced to sell some of the Bitcoins I have. Because in my country
it is forbidden to use crypto for payments, I will convert my Bitcoins to fiat first.
If not many merchants are not using Litecoin as payment, maybe the customer needs to search for the other coins as payment and fortunately, in this crypto, we have many options of the coin to be used for the payment so we do not have to confuse to find one or two coins.

Once we can get the favourable coins as payment, we will stick to that coin and not change with the other coin because we feel feel-good to use that coin. But maybe only a few people will use bitcoin as payment, especially if they have many bitcoins, because with the high price of bitcoin now, they consider selling bitcoin than to use as payment. That will give them a big profit so they can have the money in fiat.

Despite being very supportive of this, all the cryptos I have never been paid to life.
But if possible I am willing to accept it and if they want to specify a certain type,
but not waiting for adoption for payment in the country.

Altcoins are not accepted here yet as means of payment, so im using bitcoin to pay my bills and to top up my phone through our local wallet. Though we cant directly use bitcoin to buy goods but somehow its convenient since we can easily convert it to fiat.

However, at this point im refraining myself to use my bitcoin because of the current price.

Its best to just hold since the market is bullish and its more wise to not spend or else I might regret it.

i use stable coin and ripple , because i don't want to spend my bitcoin and ethereum so far so i have converted more usdt and ripple last hype of bitcoin to have funds for emergency usage .
ripple with low fee , and usdt as will not hurt to my holding .
Cryptocurrency is not legal in our country. But we have to convert through money by selling through different systems. But now we are cryptocurrency with those who are involved with cryptocurrency Let's exchange. Again, we sell cryptocurrencies to those who do not use cryptocurrencies. We make money by exchanging dollars through Bikash Nagad Let's exchange. This is how we exchange money with cryptocurrency.
so what is the connection to the topic ? you are being asked if you are paying with crypto since there is no option in your
country then there is no need to answer.

Currently living in a country where cryptocurrency wasn't legally adopted but good thing it also not prohibited or should I say maybe there's nothing more serious action from our government over this matter because those who are in position are still busy to figure out how to respond the contagious virus and how to recover economic crisis so meaning to say I haven't encountered such kind of services here in my country where they accepted crypto token as a mode of payment. But if ever I would encountered such thing I would also choose those cryptos that are low fees and stable coins like usdt. I'm afraid to spend bitcoin for the moment because for me I would choose to hold it for a long term.
Sometimes we do feel so.
But of course, the state has its own reasons why (like in my country, where Bitcoin is legal as a commodity asset for trading, investment, or other activities, but not as a payment tool such as money) gives such rules.
Maybe this will be related to the readiness of the country, both from the government, technology, and also the community.
At least in my country, it has been said by the government if, in these 10 years, Crypto may not be used as a currency or a valid payment. Because it is related to decentralization and complicated rules that might occur later.
However, let's wait and see.  Smiley

Yes, but not in a form of Bitcoin as I converted it to our local currency. It was not yet accepted in our place and so it gives me the reason to do it, I'd never hold like the others, I really spend it all. This is actually how it means to be because of me, Bitcoin is not an asset but a form of currency in which we can enjoy them spending like fiat.
But anyway, we can do anything we want with our Bitcoin. We have come in here for different reasons or purposes.

Yes definitely, I used Bitcoin to purchase a few things. For example, the domain name from Namecheap for me and for others as well. I have bought an Amazon gift card from the forum with Bitcoin. As I can remember I have used Bitcoin in these two things, I never used any other coin like litecoin or Ethereum to purchase anything. If you are wondering to integrate a payment gateway on your platform then I will suggest using Bitcoin. It is most secured and I am not sure if it is possible for you but you may use a lightning network to reduce fees.

That's great, I do remember buying league of legends gift cards and Amazon Gift from 2 websites that accepted bitcoin as payment for those Cards.
There were other websites but they had bad reviews so I avoided them.

Regarding fee you're correct also, Segwit is the best option right now average transaction to get confirmation of 1 requires 6 V/B which costs around 600-700 Satoshis.

But if you can wait for a day then 1 Sat/B fee can also work it will cost around 100-150 Satoshis which is not that much.

I only make payments using usdt, it doesn't mean I'm afraid to shop with BTC, eth and others,
because in my country there is no online shop that accepts bitcoin payments, if you have to import it costs twice as much

I pay with crypto a lot but I used stable coins to pay often times. USDT and BUSD are my favourite, considering the high transactions fee with sending BTC and ETH, it is better to use stable coins in my own suggestions.

Paying with crypto? No not at all.
Paying using crypto? Yes but I'm converting it into our own currency and that is what I'm using to pay some bills or expenses here.

I'm involved into crypto for some time already but I never tried to pay some things online using crypto. I wish I could have to but right now, merchants that are accepting crypto are very few. I choose "Fiat guy" since not many establishments are using crypto. Maybe if the pandemic will be gone, I might try to explore different establishments in malls and ask if they are accepting crypto Smiley.

Its easier with fiat too although I can find some stres and vet clinics accepting BTC in my town I prefer to pay them in fiat because every satoshi counts. If I have to trade my btc to fiat, I will do it and avoid making transactions with BTC as much as possible.

Its best to just use the banks app whcih you can scan QR code in paying.

I usually use the TRON USDT network to transfer money to my friends or buy something from them, sometimes I have to convert USDT to DOGE because I have a client and he only accepts DOGE. I only use crypto payments for people I know, I still haven't had a chance to pay for crypto in shops and restaurants in my hometown because crypto is not yet popular here.

I once paid for a domain with bitcoin, I think payment with cryptocurrencies is very easy and fast, but the thing that makes me not actively using cryptocurrencies is because of the large transaction fees.

Just see the profit and return of holding Bitcoins , don't we all know a guy who spended Bitcoins for some pizza?
Yeah the value are too much inflated as compared to the older days , imagine we buy something with Bitcoins today and the value increases then we would be just overpaying  for the services or good we buy , or take it this way if someone runs a business would they be accepting Bitcoins when the bubble forms and is about to burst? Would they be willing to risk that the value of Bitcoin would be going to get higher and accept huge payments? .

I personally believe that Bitcoins have developed  to such an extent that majority of the people use them as an asset rather than using them as a currency,
