I still remember it clearly the first time I sent a bitcoin to my bitcoin address , Actually It is not big ,it is more or less 0.001 which is the minimum payout in the faucet website I get into ! There is a big excitement in me when I first sent that to my address I thought I am going to be rich later did I found out that I didn't even earn half a dollar on my 3 months job thru faucet well it didn't stop me there until I found out about bitcointalk and earn a decent amount of bitcoin every week  !

Were you filled more with happiness, excitement or fear when you clicked that 'send' button? And in which year was it when that happened? Did it it turn out just fine, did your transaction arrive where intended?

I couldn't remember tho, as the first time i starts to use bitcoin is like 2 years ago i suppose. As compare to online banking where you xfer the $$, it is immediately xfer but bitcoin is a different level thing. Tbh, when the first time i sent i do feel unsafe because remember, there's no way for you to revert a transaction once you sent the money out, that's the fear whenever i sent btc to address of people.

While my guitar gently weeps!!!
Oh well, my first bitcoin transaction was a success, I follow each step that I read in google... If I remember correctly the second transaction that I made was from Land of Bitcoin that time, which lately close and then faucetbox... But at first I really feel excited, and double checking the address if I write it correctly ( I really mean I check each letter and number ) to be sure...

After receiving it, I just want to keep on doing it if I have an amount until I learned that the price keeps on moving up and down, so I decided to send bitcoin atleast 2 weeks or more...  Cheesy

I remember that I was so nervous when I sent my first transaction from my desktop wallet. Grin I wasn't sure about the fee, I was afraid it was so low that I won't get any confirmations and my transaction will be in limbo forever. I didn't want to pay 20% fee on a small transaction (the amount my wallet suggested me to pay), so I lowered it to 5%. You can imagine how happy I was when I received over 60 confirmations within one or two hours and my payment was accepted within tens of minutes. Smiley

The first time I sent bitcoin from a wallet to a exchange wallet feels nervous, I don't know if it will work or am I sending it at the right address. It takes me about few minutes to do my first transaction and I never thought that it was recorded in blockchain, so I really don't have an idea before that I can check the tx.  Cheesy

After receiving the amount on my exchange wallet, I was amazed, and feels like I want to try it again.  Cheesy

Do you remember what it felt like the very first time you sent out a Bitcoin transaction to another address in your life? For some, it might have been an easy thing to do, especially for the geeks who were here when Bitcoin was born and it had not been valued and traded against fiat currency as following soon after, yet for others it can be very confusing to get things right.

I sent my first bitcoin transaction back in July 2015.
At that time i didn`t know the difference between a bitcoin, bit and satoshi.
I wan`t aware about confirmations and that kind of stuff.Anyway,it was awesome.
Cool, while your story is similar to the story of many of us I remember reading a story about someone sending a transaction of several bitcoin because he did not know the difference between a mBTC and a BTC.

I think my first time when i sent a Bitcoin transaction is in 2014 maybe in january or february!
My first transaction is generated by web wallet blockchain! Which i got few thousands of satoshis by playing games on android and BTC faucets.
Wish i start to send my gain to directbet for gambling. I enjoyed gambling.
Now i use Xapo. which there is no fees of transfers here.

Well, it was on 2014 if my memory serves me right.
I was afraid, anxious and confused at the same time.
Was checking over and over again to be sure that I am sending the money to the right address.
It proved to be okay, so I continue using BTC until now:)
Great experience.

I remember reading for hours and hours how it worked and sent myself a few cents. I was scared I was going to screw it up and lose the bitcoins I finally had figured out how to collect. Wasted some time in faucets just so I didn't have to invest anything. In hindsight I'd've just bought $10 worth and screwed around with them rather than wasting hours on faucets collecting portions of pennies at a time hahahahaha!
Mmm, yeh.  I was much in tha same noob boat at one time mahself.  Cain't remember the specifics, tho, an' it ain't important.  Ah tried it out wit' a faucet, I know that.  An' it weren't too long ago, neither.  Naw I'm sendin' bitcoin like thet ol' pro troll MANYPROOFS.  No relation.

It's actually superb experience doing that for the first time. I used to send bitcoin for the frist time in a trading site named c-cex. In that case, that is also first time for me to trade in crypto currency exhcnange and that is the best moment in bitcoin. I was nervous at that time since I don't know if it would works or not because the confirmation is confirming so long, I gues because of volume of transaction of blockchain ir because of the trading site.

I remember when I first received a Bitcoin transaction, but I don't remember what I was sending my Bitcoin to when I first spent some.

I think a lot of it was just saving up, and then I got some precious metals off of a website that was accepting Bitcoin at the time, and I think they still do right now. I should go check sometime.

It really just felt like a click of a button to be honest, but I'm not sure what exactly I should expect. Now the first time I received bitcoin in my block chain wallet is a different story. That sweet little bing sound that you hear when you receive, oh it's glorious.  Grin

I certainly do. It was actually a PrimeDice deposit of a few bucks that later turned into dozens of bucks. It was my first "achievement" and at the same time the first time I ever gambled in my life. I remember the feeling I had when I sent my money, I felt like I just sent a thousand bucks.. Cheesy
That is some what a similar case with me,i started bitcoin because of the ease to send money to gamble once in a while and the first transaction was to direct bet as i was interested in sports gambling at that time and with time i have changed my goals and aims but i still do gamble but transaction delays is a major factor now while playing live games. Yeah, off course because it was my first time, when i did bitcoin transaction. Because i have a fear of lose my coins, and feel excitement, because i have no enough trust on it and secondly i thought may be i did wrong because in that time, i really didn't know confirm transaction but when my bitcoin transaction complete than i was happy with my first step of bitcoin.
to me as i remember that i did bitcoin transaction to a mobile recharge service providing form (bitrefill), and when i got the refill i cannot explain in words that how happy i was at that time. in fact it was my first ever achievement using bitcoin. i some time remember the felling and still it make me more excitement.

I remembered the first time after I had read a lot about bitcoin and the likes. It was the first time I would earn a sizeable amount to convert to Fiat. To say I was anxious would be an understatement. What added to it was the fact that when the coin has been sent, then its not reversible in which I was not ready to lose after considering the effort I had put in gathering at the end I was surprise by how fast and seamless it was then but now, I have learnt and now feel less nervous.

I dont remember, it was so much time ago, damn, it feels like bitcoin has been here for an eternity. Bitcoin is just so cozy to me now.

I actually feared that I have pasted the wrong address and I will lose money. However I still fear to this day ,even though Base58 has like a 1 in biliion chance for not filtering out invalid addresses.

The odds are low but are still there. But a virus in your memory can still show you a wrong address, and you end up signing a transaction that you dont really want to. That is scary.

At first I was doing faucets so the money were transfered to my wallet automatically every week or so, without me doing anything. Then I managed to win over 100k sats on a dice gambling site and when I was withdrawing that amount that was my first bitcoin transaction. I remember that feeling of fear before hitting the button. I was afraid that the money might just disappear going to the wrong address. 100k was big money for me then, I had to work faucets for two weeks to get that amount.
