On CMC, bitcoins domination is below 49%. Its seems more likely based on that but highly improbable.

Altcoins are getting better and handling something that bitcoin lost control, the transaction fees, i traded last days, ltc, doge and cashout for test purposes, the fee is pretty tiny if you look at bitcoin delay and high cost to work at this stage, but well bitcoin has much more potencial then others, and the legalization of it is making people invest deeply into it, i dont know how further it can raise with the split comming.

Even though the transaction fees have increased drastically, I have also observed decrease in transaction confirmation time. I think the fees are still in control as compared to that of time and cost required to send funds using traditional fiat infrastructure (I am talking about international transactions). However, I also agree that it will act as obstacle in the growth of bitcoin in next few years and we really don't want that to happen. This will create scope for altcoins to grab a large market share from crypto industry.

It's what I observed too, the fees are justifiable base on my thought but I know it's big for others. And with this thing, it is making bitcoin more reliable and better to transact with. I can't see that there will be another reason that an altcoin will have a try to replace or surpass bitcoins market cap. It will be always the leading crypto.

Just look at Etherum, today it's price is 200$! Don't you think that it is repeating the story of bitcoin? I am sure it is. If it's late to buy bitcoin cause of such high price, so, we still can buy ETH and wait for the story get repeated and to get thousands from this two hundreds.

i agree. i think it is good to buy eth.. so many ico are using eth contracts. and with this, the demand of eth is getting higher. so i think i should or we should probably buy eth while its cheap.

i don't know let me look at ethereum:
1. centralized: check
2. had a very big ICO: check
3. 75+ million coins are in control of the foundation and the developer: check
4. pump and dump: check
5. bugs and exploits and hard forking every now and then: check
6. not a currency: check
7. have big scaling issues: check
8. high transaction fees which are increasing much faster than bitcoin: check

i guess i'll stay away.

I have been seeing Bitcoins' price rising with a stability in its growth, but due to the higher mining fee that is being levied on transactions these days, big businesses are now moving their funds towards alts and taking advantage with their least fees as well as shaping a completely new economy in the trends of altcoin markets. Do you think this may harm Bitcoin's dignity and open up a chance in real for alts to rise?
Bitcoin remains the focus cryptocurrency enthusiasts and fintech industries. Bitcoin is the most thrusted coin. I think not to worry about bitcoin, that is their strategy to get bitcoin. May be they collect bitcoin to exchanged with bitcoin.

We are starting to see the Altcoins take at a real chunk at the market dominance that Bitcoin has had in its whole history. Now that Bitcoin is down to 46%, there will be more movements towards Altcoins to replace it. Also showing that ETH is becoming much more viable for trading and day to day transactions.
But still you can see the demand of bitcoin from its price. Always take in mind that if the price of an asset is increasing then it is because of the demand of people for that asset and with the price you will find that how much is the demand of bitcoin nowadays.
yes, bitcoin will always be the number one no matter what happens. they are alternative, but bitcoin is the father of all coins. it has the highest value in the market, it has the highest reputation and the highest number of users worldwide. alt coin only depends on bitcoin i think, it will never take the place of bitcoin in the market and even in our hearts.

For nowadays alternative coin which has very great potential to compete bitcoin(if we compare with hundreds other altcoin) is ethereum. Based on market cap, ethereum is about $17.4 billion USD that number is only 43.7 percent of market cap bitcoin which about $39.8 billion USD. From that data ethereum strong enough at this time. But i believe that bitcoin won't collapse by alt coin and will always be a number one.

Clearly if you analyze big and new alts yes they do have the power to battle against bitcoin network, they have the chance to beat up bitcoin if and only if big  investors and some companies will push to go for good and better projects
Yeah I agree, the alts have the power to come over the Bitcoin. I think there is no such difference in the Bitcoin and the alts; the only thing that makes it different is that the bitcoin is the pioneer it came first and the alts have copied it. If the alts facilitate the users better than the Bitcoin they may be more successful.
If the other altcoins have a better features and better plans for usage then it can over come bitcoin because it is not about the price because i believe that it is about the capability of the altcoin and how we can use it as a cryptocurrency. If there will be a cryptocurrency that is better, faster and more stable than bitcoin then it will be a threat for bitcoin for sure.
The price will only increase if investors sees a potential of a certain project, however there are instances that whales manipulate the price of a certain altcoins to take advantage of their short trade, we have to determine that and make sure we were able to do a thorough research on the project we invested.
Maybe you guys are right and there is a chance for altcoin to overthrow bitcoin, but i do not think it will be an easy fight... for altcoin that is. Bitcoin is getting stronger and stronger by the day, price of it has goon up so fast in so short time, and that tells me that there are more and more people that use bitcoin or buy it, which make bitcoin only stronger.

The altcoins have a really great potential when it coins in success but the bitcoin price was so successful in the market and almost 3000$ and still increasing so the altcoins still almost impossible to surpass the bitcoins so i would say no chances for the altcoins but still they are great in making profits so better invest before its too late.

No i don't think so i mean if you see bitcoin is legend and the only unique coin the alts are just their to give it some sort of competition and nothing else. It's just like gold, there are different diamonds like ruby, sapphire but in the end gold is the one who is leading at the end of the day. If i have to say ether can have a good chance against bitcoin.
All the altcoins are just trying to catch up to the bitcoin they have struggled for years now to be like the bitcoin but they always fail, however they may not seem like they are doing much right now but in the long term they may become worthful since the market cap for bitcoin is limited.

So, when there is no more bitcoin to mine it will get very expensive and that means that people won’t be able to get as much as they do now, which means they are going to search for alternatives, and then they will rise.

What a load of crap.
What is the connection with the amount of bitcoins left to be mined in the future and the current usage of the coin?

Nada , none zero.
Do us a favor and stop shit posting!!!!

Even following your own logic 99% of all the alts that are currently still alive are or entirely premined or their mining days will be over decades before bitcoin.

Further more , if bitcoin will become more expensive it will mean people will start looking for alternatives?
And stop using bitcoin?

Yeah , right that's why bitcoin is increasing in price because people are leaving in search of scamcoins and shitcoins.

We can never know and understand how things happen here,
Its possible that we wake up one day and the BitCoin price will drop while all the money will move to the altcoins.

The question is which currency will be more useful, and which will be able to be acknowledged by the regulators.

Yes we can not trust any digital currency for a long time. Today Bitcoin is ruling digital currency world and day by day the popularity of bitcoin is increasing all over the globe. And many new alts are entering this digital world. And some more already become popular in the market. So anything can happen in future any alt can replace bitcoin.

well i do not think that alts have any chances against bitcoin because bitcoin is such a strong currency that no other alts will replace it and if you do not trust it you can compare bitcoin to every alt and then check the result, so you will find that the bitcoin popularity is very much and also the price of bitcoin is so much strong that alts will take long and long time to reach the present price of bitcoin.

Highly unlikely that it will happen overnight. It is not impossible, but it will take time.
For example, we have seen Bitcoin dominance drop from over 80% to less than 50% over the past few months. The change will be gradual, like this.

I don't see any alts that will stab bitcoin in the end all alts will be partner of bitcoin. Having a great future of bitcoin it will be produce another alternative coin again it good to see that when the bitcoin is growing alternative coin in decreasing so as much as possible we need to stock altcoins to sell when bitcoin price fall.

No.
But being different with bitcoin could produce a better one.
Having a great feature with a certain altcoin will take it to the top.
Example is anpopular MMORPG game which uses that altcoin to buy premium items or a VIP.
If that happens then certainly it could be labeled as a top alt in the fields of gaming industry.
Perhaps other application could also work it out.
