How I wish I would have the same end game.
In this pandemic, expenses had grown. I didn't realize it until the bill came.
Then, there is food. When you are at home, you're always hungry.

I have my investments in BTC and Ethereum but it's not yet time to withdraw for me. I think I am still young and I want to make more.
My goal is not to just secure my future but also for my kids and who knows, maybe I could spare some for my grandkids.

don't think so, been here for years even if I make ten millions dollar overnight there's nothing wrong in making some additional million dollars right?  Grin the thing is, there's no guarantee you gonna succeed by starting your business but if you're used to making money in crypto then big fat chance it's better to just sticks, just don't speculate too much if you afraid of risk there are many ways of making profit from your hard earned money without betting all your asset.
right, after I get a lot of money from bullrun, then only a small portion of the capital I use to trade in crypto, most of the others, of course I will diversify into other businesses such as property, I have to have several different businesses to support my financial stability

It depends, if your jobs pays better then stick with your job, this man that OP is talking about turned millionaire and left his job, this is a different case something that doesn't happen everyday, I've quit my job for years now and I'm fully into crypto, I'm not a millionaire yet but I have a crypto mining farm and it's more than enough for me
That's what I thought too, we are vastly different from this guy, if you quit your job because you got big on crypto isn't advisable since you probably haven't reach the million profit yet, also if your job has good pay and benefits, why quit? Any source of money is good especially if those goes straight to your retirement, you will have more money for retirement. Why quit this bullrun? I mean this is a good opportunity to accumulate a lot of bitcoins because in the future, the prices will go back up and you don't want to be arrive at that point empty-handed.

How about you? Do you see yourself quitting your day job after this current bullrun? I hope you make enough to start with a business of your own.
I save some of my income coming from crypto and I believe it was enough to start running a small business.
And I hope my business will succeed or else, I'll be going back to receiving paycheck to paycheck again. It is to understand that quitting the day job is a hard decision to be made but can't reach our dream of becoming rich if we just keep working. Having another source of income is an ideal plan that we need to pursue what we wanted to happen in our life in the future.
And maybe with the help of joining signature campaigns might be enough to sustain my needs.

Anyway, I wish good luck to all future business owners.

"Goldman Sachs banker quits after making millions on cryptocurrency" - That's the headline on one of CNBC article

Quote
~ Aziz McMahon, Goldman’s managing director and head of emerging market sales in London, quit after making millions of pounds from a bet on the digital currency ether, three former employees at the investment bank told CNBC.

~ McMahon is believed to have cashed in at least £10 million ($14 million) worth of cryptocurrency, the sources said.

~ When approached by CNBC, Goldman Sachs confirmed McMahon’s departure but declined to comment any further.

I purposely left out the coins he bought and profited from because it's irrelevant. The guy must be earning big already given his former position but it took investment in cryptocurrency to quit his job.

How about you? Do you see yourself quitting your day job after this current bullrun? I hope you make enough to start with a business of your own.
When says "Quitting" does this mean permanently ? or he was just waiting for another chance ?

because crypto investment is like a gambling and if you once made a Big amount of money then for sure you will return back to try that luck gain.
So basically it is not quitting but just taking out profit.

The question is.. did he quit his job or was he given the option to quit, before they fired him?
I don't think that's even relevant. It's a personal investment and it's not illegal in their country anyway. Only Jamie Dimon would do a silly move to fire employees trading crypto.

You cannot work for a Bank and then profit millions from their arch enemy. Banks have tried their best to convince people and the regulators that Crypto currencies was a scam and Satan from Hell.... so why would they allow someone to work for them, when that person is profiting from the competition.
Goldman Sachs had been working to offer crypto services to their wealth management clients https://www.cnbc.com/2021/03/31/bitcoin-goldman-is-close-to-offering-bitcoin-to-its-richest-clients.html

Unfortunately I don't have enough coins to make any substantial profit. I mean even if you bought 10 bitcoins back in the days for 1 USD, you would have 500,000 USD now. But is this really enough to quit your job and retire? I feel like we need more money than that in the long run, especially if we have a family and kids to take care of. If we already have a house with mortgage and some other savings it might work.
A lot depends on what place you live.
Exactly. A $500K would make anyone from developing countries a multi-millionaire already. Expenses aren't that expensive compared to developed countries. Besides, you can set aside some of that to some investments that would give you passive income.

~ But what do we do if price drop?
You already converted them into fiat in your example.

~
I guess there is also the fact that would you quit your day job, or would you quit working? Those are very different things.

I chose to stop working for someone else if I managed to make a big profit from crypto, but like you said most people want to own their own business.
So the working time can be adjusted to what we want, and it's very fun without having to follow other people's orders. Therefore, my main goal is
to invest in cryptocurrency, so that I can  get a very large profit and be able to retire early from my job. I do want to spend as much time as possible
with my family, therefore it is very important for me to be able to make a large profit from investing in cryptocurrency.
We are all targeting the same thing on where we do make ourselves rich or financially free with cryptocurrency investment and this is why majority of people here are aiming for that goal.

We do like to quit out into our job but not all would really be given out the chance for that opportunity to happen. It will always vary on how someone would smartly handle out their

crypto investment and we know that not all would really be giving or able to get the things that they do aim for.In my side, I don't see on quitting because I haven't still able to

hit my target but who knows that later years I would able to achieve that.

The reason why cryptocurrency is developing so fast, because cryptocurrency can provide financial freedom to investors who are lucky
to generate large profits. Our goal is all the same, to become rich by investing in crypto, but the practice is not as easy as imagined.
Because crypto price movements are indeed very difficult to predict, so if you are not careful you will not get the profit, but we can
experience losses when investing in cryptocurrency. So investing in crypto cannot provide instant wealth, It needs a long process,
so that we can get rich from crypto. Therefore, we must be consistent and patient to be successful in the crypto world.

Well it depends how much profit I made. If I can live financially stable because of the earnings I had in crypto then I will consider to quit in my day job.

But nowadays its better to be wise, earning huge doesnt mean you can already stop working especially if you have a family to feed. Thus before I quit to my job, I need to ensure first the welfare of my family especially the kids.

Because the cost of living currently are really expensive.

I guess there is also the fact that would you quit your day job, or would you quit working? Those are very different things. If I had 1 million dollars I would definitely quit my job there is no question about that, I quit my job way before I had that much money and now fully in crypto. However completely stop working? That sounds like a bit too much don't you think?

I feel like everyone needs to do something in their life, it doesn't have to be about money, that is why "working" doesn't mean job, it just means working on something, you could be working on leveling up in a game, that is as further away from job as it can get but it is still working on something, you could be working on making handmade chair, that maaay become profitable but you do not have to do it for that neither. Basically I am 100% supporting "working" in that sense but if I have 1+ million dollars I wouldn't work at all for money.

I am in NJ , USA

I would need 3-5 million minimum. I have some set pension money so it drops the number to maybe
2-3million after taxes.

Frankly I am not at that point.

No, that's not exactly for me. Money is important, but I really pity people that only work for one single purpose - earning money. Living from weekends to weekends, dreaming of a holiday. People spend the majority of their lives working, thus, to live happily and enjoy every day you need to do what you love to do.
I will never quit my job, no matter how much money I've got because I enjoy it. I can't imagine how people can live otherwise.

Your statement looks contradictory. At one side you are complaining about how bad it is to work every day waiting for weekends and holidays, at the same time you are supporting working because you love to work. When we do what we love, it isn't work anymore, it's a fun activity, so I don't think the former part of your statement makes any sense Tongue

Most definitely if I was to make that kind of eff you Money  Grin. The reason I work is to make money and I just made that through cryptocurrency investment so I wouldn't see any reason to continue working 9 to 5 if I can simply now reinvest some of the money when the time is right back into crypto again and re-run the process. The thought of leaving a job after a win is a new direction but not so good if they are having a good job.
Money is hard to come by, but leaving the job you do best looks awful.
Working is not only to earn money but it is a dedication to society as well as to practice professional skills.
I don't know what people who have left their jobs will do next and with the money they make. Personally, I wouldn't leave my job.

I quit 5 years ago. I didn't see the point on keep working for a regular company when I can make profit from crypto. Obviously I am not a trader alone, I also work and I have been part of 4 different projects so far and I have been working as a ceontent creator for the past 3 years as well.

That is why I quit, not because I knew that I would make a profit from the trading because I know that there will be good days and bad days in trading and I couldn't risk it, but the content writing helped me a lot during this period and that is how I have been making my income. That is why I was capable of quitting 5 years ago and I tell the same thing to everyone, if you could find a job in the crypto world that you are good at, you will be capable of doing this for a very long time and you could basically just do whatever you want without worry of your boss.

Not in my case, because I don't have enough invested by far. If after this bullrun I had $15M in profits, yes, I would quit. Another thing is that after a vacation, I would continue working but in a more investing facet.
Yeah man, it depends on the level to which you can make a profit, if that is not enough to even get the business going, I don't think I will go out that easily either. I will make sure that in the future I can get income regularly before leaving

It depends upon the stress level and how much you are enjoying your job that you make decisions like these. In my position i might have quite my job and start my own company because that is what i am doing right now and anyone invested anything in the cryptocurrency market in the past one year could easily make a huge profit and start something of their own and because of these pandemic situation i started a decent medium scale farm basically for my own consumption Grin.

If I had the money, I would create a Bank just for the Crypto currency community. It will be the ultimate FU to the Banks if they close Crypto currency users Bank accounts and then having them joining the Crypto "friendly" Banks and giving the Banks a finger!   Wink
