I've tried weed recently.  The first two times I didn't feel anything.  The third time I couldn't stop laughing.  Felt like there was a great pressure on me, as though gravity turned up a notch.  I couldn't focus very well but I was certainly bubbly.  Walking around was a bit of a challenge; I felt detached from the world in a way, felt like I was inside of my head looking at a television that were my eyes.  It was an unnatural relaxation (as in, I could never achieve such levels of relaxation without weed.)  But it was rather enjoyable in all; perhaps I'm confident enough in myself to not have experienced a "low" as many people have told me they can get, e.g. feeling as though they're letting down their parents or failing to meet some other standard.  It was different.

But I certainly can't sympathize with people who would use violence against pot smokers for as petty a reason as "I don't like the smell", nor for any reason; the moral absurdity in this sentiment is dangerously close to that of an individual you would not want to leave alone in a room with any person you cared for but would if the person happened to be on your shit list and you wanted to fuck with them.  I can't imagine what goes through the head of an individual so fucked up that violence is a reasonable response to "it's smelly".

Agreed I like not having weed sometimes because I get to look at things from a different perspective and compare how I feel when I do consume cannabis.

i smoke pot almost everyday. i support the legalization of the drug because i have smoked it for years all dya long and nothing bad has happen to me. maybe slight weight gain lol but ya .

Yeah, that would. However, just as you shouldn't show up to work or other engagements drunk, you shouldn't show up high. Once those laws aren't in place anyone who smokes pot needs to take responsibility for their use and be able to balance it with other aspects of their lives.
