This thread title question fits to those who do panic selling and creating some unrealistic basis after the dip today as one of the bitcoin core developers get out in bitcoin world.

Sadly they are optimistic when price sits at around $400 for consecutive weeks then become an hoax believers after this sudden dip.

As someone who's been using Bitcoin since late 2012 - early 2013, I think Bitcoin still has a very bright future ahead. Maybe not so much as a currency for day to day use, but certainly as a good investment.
I mean just look at the 'slow' but steady price increase we've seen the last couple of years.

I strongly believe with bitcoin , and bitcoin will last a long time could possibly be a global currency . is now bitcoin community began to grow around the world.

Yes I too still believe in bitcoin, however btc is not a stable currency but now a days its very popular and usefull crypto currency. This year might be price will go up again due to many events if you have some bitcoin savings, you get profit which is no other investments will give you.
every day bitcoin users grew worldwide
and I also believe bitcoin will last for a long time,
for a price that is not stable, I think bitcoin will improvise on its request, certainly in the future bitcoin prices may be stable
Yes Financial experts also predict that this year is the year bitcoin , we see in all markets , worldwide market volume increases, plus there will be block halving . will make bitcoin prices rise .

in this time bitcoin is like internet in 80's
we can't explain detail about bitcoin
but we can introducing how bitcoin work

iam sure after more people know "how bitcoin work" we will believe this is money of future
The internet was not money and not decentralized. There is no control involved in internet and neither any resources. It's just a network and in no way affect the money and other political problems which bitcoin can.Not compulsory.

in first time...
after internet launching more people "confused" how internet work
and....
after more people know how internet work, some biggest company adopt it and build infrastructure of internet

Iam sure

in future more infrastructure will avaible in every village

I joined up over here in 2012-13. At the time it seemed like a way to make a quick buck. Overtime as i read about it more and more, i became interested in the freedom it provides. As time has went on however, my interest and belief in bitcoin have waned. I won't get into the details of why, but i'm wondering what your honest opinion of bitcoin is, with a simple vote, and possibly an explanation.

My first words that came to my mind after the read of the main post was: Why not? Tell me at least one reason to not continue to believe on it? the last year was the most excellent one for bitcoin. stability of price like never. Since the end of the year trend of increase of its value: with few oscillations but the overall result was the increase. A strong decrease the last two-three days but that cannot be treated as such before the passe of two-three weeks around this value. Increased spread and transactions (mean more activity with it). These lasts are more than doubled at 2015 compared to one year ago. Regulation more than ever and in more than one country. So, I can't find even one reason to not believe on it. Although even can be not one but even more than one based reasons to not believe on it I will continue to believe. Because I don't believe simply in bitcoin but firstly in the technology which made possible its invention.

I understand why bitcoin would not become a priority anymore if you've been into it for so long. You could lose interest over the years, it wouldn't be a bad idea to just hold if you still got bitcoins though and just hold the ones you already own. I am still into bitcoin, I still believe in it and still have spare time to spend on bitcoin as well, so yes I do still believe in bitcoins.

Well I would still use bitcoin if is ban going to happen like dropping so low.
I would just try to collect and just hope for some times that I can earn with it. If not unlucky me than.
But if it would be ban I think I will just stop. After all bitcoins is some new is not that old maybe in more than 10 years we will have more good news about it.

OPI would be very interested to hear why your interest waned. Mine did for a while as well and I stopped thinking about Bitcoin for about six to eight months, but then I came back and got even more interested and active in it. And yes, I still believe in Bitcoin. The real question is whether merchants still believe in it.

So you did also. What could be the examples of those whose interest are waning? I just want to know so I could deal with this in the future if this happens to me.

Back to permanently believing in it for at least several months-to permanent for sure. I didn't believe for a time.

I believed once I got some for selling altcoins for awhile, so much as to get a btc debit card. I now believe it will

be here for some time for sure.

Bitcoin is the only digital asset which have limited and scheduled supply, so it can be used for long term saving. This unique property is not replaceable by any other thing including gold and silver (their supply can increase or decrease a lot depends on the market price). The inflative monetary policy of today's central bank leaves a market vacuum for a deflative currency to thrive. And since it is deflative, it is exclusive, e.g. no other competing deflative currency will be adopted at the same time since that will be inflation
