Governments are too tied to fiat to change any time soon. I think bitcoin can be used along with other payment methods like paypal in the future.
I think majority if not all would say that they still believe in fiat. Try living only on bitcoin and see how far it can take you without any use of the fiat. That's how important fiat still is and will be for the foreseeable future. Bitcoin would rise and fall and be know more in the future but fiat will be fiat and we have to live with that.
As long as there are governments with the authority to fiat then fiat money will keep on existing the difference is that with alternatives like bitcoin the power of fiat may decrease over time.

I think this thread should not be created in the first place because the fact that we are using fiat, definitely we believe in fiat. Maybe the OP just try tried to compare it with bitcoin and due to the presence of bitcoin they think fiat will loses its value..I dont think so. Not gonna happen, even in the future.. we will live and die using fiat.

There is point of contradict,both fiat and btc have value and bitcoin inturn is dependent on fiat to make its value in general.maybe the problem lies in physical way.digital payment has become a fast and flexible in past few years thats why most of bitcoin holders prefer bitcoin over fiat.
Why you not believe in fiat ? I think everyone believe in fiat as believe in bitcoin. It's same imo, currency for paying or buying something. And bitcoins for online things.
yes that is a fact, i also do believe on bitcoin as well as on fiat currency, i am receiving my salary in fiat i pay my bell in fiat i pay my children fee in fiat i even pay utility bills in fiat and i do shopping in fiat because there is not a sing shop in my area who accept bitcoin for shopping so how can i not believe on bitcoin,Why some people hate it? I thought it about they don't have much, if you were rich regarding have a lot of money, you wouldn't hate it.
Bitcoin is precious but not much as Fiat, since it hasn't using by all population over the world, besides bitcoin value rated in fiat.

Fiat is our money so we should believe because we are using it in daily basis.. bitcoin is just alternative for those who knows of benefits of bitcoin .We are lucky that we have bitcoin to use easily and to use in some stores online..
I find it interesting that here in Canada we are creating a new bill with the Queen on it. When she dies we will have to replace all of the currency again,seems like a waste of money to create a new bill right before she kicks it.
No money will be 'replaced' when the queen dies, it's just that most likely the next monarch will be featured on newly printed money. It would be silly to just destory all 66+ billion CAD and print/mint it again.... And creating the new bill, which is essentially just changing it's design, won't cost the BOC much, just hire a graphics designer and some folks who can increase the security and off you go to the printers.
Of course I believe in fiat. This system has long existed and will exist for a long time. We can use Bitcoin, but without Fiat has not yet learned to live

And if we are not going to follow what the government implements then we are going to be punished according to the law. So I would say on what is on trend or being popular then I will just go with the flow.
But if we will not use fiat then the government do not punish us such as some people use other countries currency and some people easily accept it and there is no any punishment for any activity like that.
No, i don't believe in Fiat anymore but sadly, i have to use Fiat for my daily need. I can not buy food, clothes, car, houses, medicine, pay bill by bitcoin or others cryptocurrencies due to my country laws. I own a lot of bitcoin on my computer but as long as i still live here, there is no way I can spend my bitcoin in the physical world. Therefore, i have to accept Fiat
Definitely yes, even we have bitcoin, fiat is important daily as we are not that advance that all currency is digital.Fiat money will stay here for several years.Digitization of currencies 100% will not happen overnight but we are now on the way with it,starting from bitcoin.

And besides, we don't have any other option than believing fiat because bitcoin is not yet used in place of fiat as it is just digital and we still need to convert our bitcoins to fiat before using them so we have no option than believing fiat right now.
Definitely. Fiat currency is still alive. The earnings we have through bitcoin trading and investing is based on fiat value. And I am sure that you exhanged your bitcoin for fiat currency to buy things you needed. Computers, electricity, internet service, and gadgets that you use to earn bitcoin can be paid still by fiat currency.
yes that is a fact that most of the people are converting their bitcoins in to fiat for buying or doing shopping, actually the main reason behind this is that in most of the area there are no facilities of using bitcoin directly in local shops, but still there are too many opportunities of using bitcoin for online shopping. Yup we have to believe tlfiat currency until it live in the world. Most of the people would choose the option as fiat only and in future bitcoin will be option may be in 2050.

When you get right down to it, people don't give a damn about what system they use as long as they benefit from it one way or another. The vast majority of people will simply follow the current trend and pretend that they are passionate about it. But the moment the trend dies, they'll move to the next without so much as a thought for the previous one.

Yes I still have believe on fiat and the reason is that the fiat is under the support of the government who do not do anything scam and who provide the most legit process. if the government start to support bitcoin then maybe the case is changed.
I too believe in fiat, if only I could use bitcoin in real life as it is, then I would definitely shift to fully believing bitcoin and just convert my day job salary to bitcoin after receiving it... Sad to say bitcoin I think would take time before it could really be used in real life...
because fiat is still use on my country then i still believe in fiat and bitcoin is only another ways to make more money with withdraw into my bank account. but if bitcoin is accepted in my country and there is many shops accepting bitcoin, then i will believe both, fiat and bitcoin.
