I don't have that many coins/tokens in my MEW wallet and therefore I am not that concerned about the recent bugs. But if my ETH holdings increase in future, then I'd seriously consider buying a hardware wallet such as Ledger Nano or Trezor.

I still use mew. It is simple to use and a good place where to hold ETH and ERC-20 tokens as well and does not require any downloads. Most of people who want to hodl erc20  include me use Myetherwallet

KEEP CALM and HODL

I believe that MEW is one of the best wallets that is now available. Just need to use it together with a hardware wallet, such as Ledger Nano, for example.

What is the latest  any confirmations that transfers in and out have been secured?

Right now everything is good and you can do the transaction as usual.

Yes, routes are back to normal. Alwasys make sure you see "MyEtherWallet Inc" greenbar EV SSL cert
but i do not recommend you to store all of your tokens on it because they're 'unprofessional' in my opinion,in january someone told them about this issue and called them as a liar.

The Future Of Work
May 10, 2018, 01:32:16 PM
With the recent hack, I assume a lot of people will switch to something else, what do you think?

I still recommend using a hardware wallet over the safety benefits though.
Of course, hardware wallet is more convenient and reliable than electronic wallet. But it is expensive enough that everyone can buy it.
I also used a MEW before the latest news. Now I fear this Purse.
I use my Crypto wallet. More convenient and reliable than MEW.

Yes, I have been using MEW for a long time, because I like this wallet. It seems to me that MEW is the most reliable and popular. But I know that hackers have repeatedly wanted to hack it.

You have to get what you want your own way.

Yes, so far i haven't experience anything bad and i hope i won't. I'll continue to use this for a while till I'll be able to invest into something like hardware wallet stuffs, just be careful with your mew, don't save any private keys if possible use only utc or write down the private key in a paper, never store it in your computer.

I do use myetherwallet now and I am actually planning on buying a hardware wallet to if my investments luckily gain profits base on my goal. I believe hardware wallets are essential to a committed trader even though it is quite expensive but still as they say prevention is better than cure so its better to invest money for the security of your investments.

Yes, hardware wallet is the best, but there are some that may not be able to afford it. I think another option left for such, is to either use MetaMast or google chrome extension of MEW, which is an offline wallet. I also make use of imToken.

I want to note here that there is no 100% secure wallet. However, the developers will continue to improve on the security of the wallets. Hardware wallets have their own shortcomings. They can be corrupted. And when such happens, you have lost your assets. It can be lost or something could happen to hardware wallets.

MEW will improve on the security of the wallets. Taking extra caution is a good step though.

I completely agree with you! I understand that my coins aren't 100% secure and it is driving me crazy! I always think someone can steal them and I even won't see and know! Terrible feeling!

of course, I still use Myetherwallet, I think MEW is not complicated, and simple for storing tokens and sending tokens to other ETH addresses and to Exchange, everything is simple and I'm happy to use Myetherwallet even if there is an issue about hacker MEW Wink

I still use MEW, and I do not think there's a problem with it
I connect MEW with MetaMask, so my private key can be stored safely

I still use MEW despite the hack attack recently. Just make sure you see the address bar green. But I would like to recommend if you had a hardware wallet better use it as your main wallet. Its much better safe when you store your assets on the hardware wallet.

MEW is containing so much danger if you lost your own private key, i'm using the local wallet for a better security and it's actually worked.
MEW is the way too much simple for hackers too, use something complicated is better.

I am still using myetherwallet. I am still confident to it. And I feel secured even I have read that some are hacked.
Maybe because they gave their private key on some web. That will be the reason of hacking and losing of their tokens and valuable.

what wallet is now best to use? I now switched to metamask, but I understand that it's still worth using hardware wallet

So far I still use MEW to make transactions and still safe, so it all depends on us all how to protect the device so it will not be attacked by viruses and phishing, because MEW also has clearly told to check back when accessing MEW from the web and by way of bookmark is the right solution for me do not get used to open MEW by searching it on google.

MEW stores all my ERC-20 tokens and so far so good, the transaction seed is fast enough as its able to reflect the transactions over a short period of time, Its also cost effective as its freely available and anyone can have have it if they so need. One thing that has too be emphasized is that MEW doesn't guarantee the safety of your coins especially if you get careless with your private key, which can lead to losing your investments, if you lose your private key, MEW will also not be able to recover it for you

I have a MEW but I didn't use it these days because I'm more active in bitcoin. Actually, it's so long since i used it that I almost forgot that i already have few tokens there. Smiley. But if ever there's a token reward on one of the signature campaigns I joined then I'll use it for sure.

I only use MEW for tokens but when it comes to eth I prefer the main wallet I used because it supports eth, btc and peso (our currency) at the same time. It's more convenient to use.
