Well thats true. Using bitcoin, its very hard to trace the exact location of user and that leads to some individuals or organization using bitcoin as a medium to purchase illegal things or services. Despite of that theres also a good side of using bitcoin than the flat. So for me, i will keep using bitcoin despite of that controversial because for me i dont do anything bad against my conscience.

Two things that probably make it controversial is it's anonymous feature and it's ever increasing price. Some people agrue that its a scam or an investment bubble just waiting to burst. And these are big people like jamie dimen and the chinese government saying this that's why it's getting a few negative attention

Of course, bitcoin is controversial!

It is a new tool, wth a community that can remain hidden behind online wallets and that has first developed on the so-called dark web. There are scams, frauds but also some actors playing with things they do not control.. and thus facing unexpected effects!

Bitcoin is new. It is under development. Therefore, it is controversial. Is it good or bad, can it be misused, etc..

Truth is that bitcoin is a new field full of opportunities. It is not "good" or "bad", it is just a currency. Its future depends on everyone's actions with it!

Well, thats true people might think that the bitcoin is coming from a drug having an anonymous transactions because they can't track there information and trasanctions detail. Thats why government can't control bitcoins.

I believe it is! With all the news and advertisements going on, more and more are becoming aware making them quite curious of this thing called Bitcoin. Bitcoin is gaining popularity each day and a lot are getting intrigued with this system that is working for thousands if not, millions!

It is controversial, yes but what bitcoin needs right now is publicity, so it doesn't matter if it is bad because at this point any fame is good fame. People must know first of its existence as it is the first step for mass adoption after that It will just depend to the people if they will seek the truth regarding bitcoin.

I think what makes it more controversial is where it is deriving its value from. Sure it is being used for money laundering and stuff, but the fact is money laundering would not have been possible if the value of bitcoin isnt high enough. So what really makes it controversial is the fact that its price has sky rocketed over the past few months and people not getting where it is getting its value and price hike from.

Bitcoin is controversial in that it is being decentralized and then it protects the personal identity of the people using it. It is controversial because it does not have to pass through such intermediate agencies and bodies such as banks. It is controversial because some illegal transactions are choosing to use Bitcoin. Moreover, Bitcoin is controversial because its value is increasing so fast that even the people who are discrediting it earlier are joining the bandwagon and bought Bitcoins too. At the end of the day, I choose it over fiat.

People are having the hard decision in holding or selling its bitcoin. On the other side, controvesial due people use bitcoin in their scam. There's are circulating doubt to people who dont have any idea about bitcoin if this is really legit. It also featured in different sort of media like social mediA and television. If the examples you gave are what makes BTC controversial than by all means it isn't! All fiat currencies are used to commit crimes. People are hiring hitmen, buying drugs, bribing others and it's all being done every single day, even as we speak. It's just part of our lives when something is outlawed it's scarce, and becomes wanted. If there's no fiat and no cryptos people will be trading other things like precious metals, alcohol, and other things for outlawed goods. There's nothing controversial here.
