This can happen on a long term but I do not think the bitcoin will succeed in this due to the fact that the bitcoin itself is depending on the dollar right now..
I honestly do not think this is gonna happen the bitcoin is way too small and the dollar is also too big.

I actually feel if the price is stable bitcoin is indeed possible, but the current price of bitcoin is growing and continues to rise, I feel bitcoin will become something more valuable than a dollar a day

if we see growing bitcoin at this month, i think bitcoin have big chance to replace dollar, no other currency can replace it except chinese.
just my opinion, chinese have 40% to replace dollar bitcoin 35% and other currency 25%

I don't know but at my opinion that USA will not replace dollar, cause bitcoin is very hard to control and it's not profitable for USA goverment. Bitcoin is solo currency.
This is not about favorable or not to the government. but the government will always protect the dollar no matter what happens. the government will retain their local currency from foreign currency entering. it will be done by all governmentsGovernments or institutions will really do try to protect their interest for their individual currency's because it is where they keep the government in control of their jurisdiction.
If the bitcoin price doubles every year for the next 20 years, people will want the bitcoin and it will replace fiat.
