I think it's impossible for bitcoin to replace the dollar, many countries use dollar. Dollar is international money but for 15 years it's been too long. Many things can happen and changes.

I don't think in about 15years, Bitcoin will replace Dollars just like that. To me, Bitcoin has it's Blockchain which makes it differ from Dollars that is Fiat in nature. If it is going to happen at all as proposed by the Article writer  and the Cointegraph CEO, I feel it will take donkey years, since Bitcoin is not regulated in any form while the so called Dollars is regulated by the US Government. I stand to be corrected anyway.

I shy away from absolutes, but I think its safe to say this will never happen in our lifetime. I don’t think there’s even a currency backed by a sovereign government that could suffice as a replacement right now, never mind a crypto-currency no one controls or regulates.

First of all it is very hard to replace anything that's been established for many centuries and what people have come to rely and depend on. But dollar lacks in digital world, that could give more space for bitcoin to groom.
The fact is that I very much doubt that Bitcoin will replace the dollar. You should understand that the dollar is supported by virtually all countries of the world and no financial structure or organization will let it fall.
so true. even as a result of the G20 meeting, not all countries support bitcoin, while the dollar is supported by all countries to become an international currency. well, maybe bitcoin prices will continue to grow, but, I think it will be very difficult to replace the dollar.
Maybe time will come that bitcoin will be widely use but it does not mean it's more popular than dollar.
The fact that they think they should regulate us, that means they believe they are more superior than us and they will always promote
a centralized as more secured than decentralized which is very risky.

I think bitcoin will coexist with USD. Because these two coins will hold value for each other and certainly no one wants one of them to lose. Bitcoin has its own value and the USD is the same, sure the US government will not even accept the bitcoin as they will still not end the USD as the currency represents their position in world finance.
It actually has the potential to become the the most widely used currency if most of the retailers starts to accept Bitcoins as a means of payment. This will reduce fraud and make people all over the world purchase things online.

There is a huge chance that bitcoin will really replace dollars in the future if every country cannot handle the growth of crytpocurrency. Now a days, government is the only reason why people cannot use bitcoins everywhere on the nation.

No, there is a limited supply to be mined. And for an internationally traded commodity, its value is too volatile to be a basis for currency. And despite of the robustness it offers, it still has vulnerability such as those concerning trading platforms vulnerabilities. And there is also huge percentage of the public who doesn't understand this principle.

It is possible that all countries legalize and use bitcoin as the national currency. Thus bitcoin can also be used as an international currency. If bitcoin offers something more practical then the dollar will be replaced by bitcoin
Well I don’t contemplate that the idea is this much simpler as it is said here because crypto currencies are right now making their own place in the market with competition within themselves. Bitcoin is considered as a king of the crypto currency and it has got the maximum market capital as well but then there are other altcoins which are also having sufficient amount of the market capital so that means that competition is still tough. Once the crypto currency will make its place in the market only then it will be on a position to take over the dollar.

I don't believe that bitcoin will replace dollars at any point this is because the American government will never allowed that to happened, it will be as if the US is giving up it constitutional power up to something they can never control and also making it look as if the US government is weak in term of it financial and economic role losing it power which we all know how US is when it comes to power so bitcoin can never replace the dollar.

not soon, but will replace, and may not bitcoin, and the next crypto currency, for which bitcoin, like an icebreaker will pave the way. Maybe even in us will be sewing chips for usability.

after the g20 meeting, I think the bitcoin should still be considered again for now. well, even if it gives little positive information. but, some countries consider it very difficult to control. well, I think, the development of the times will make bitcoin in the accept and replace the dollar.

I think Bitcoin will not replace the centralized currency. There is no sense in this. He has his place in the system of currencies and payment systems. This will be a good alternative.

There is absolutely no way that a decentralized, and unregulated currency like Bitcoin would replace existing centralized monetary systems such as the Dollar which is backed by a government. The Dollar has managed to gain trust among people and businesses worldwide, as it is a regulated medium of exchange. On the other hand, Bitcoin has gained traction too but is having a hard time trying to reach a large scale of users because of its scalability issues. Not to mention, its transactions are irreversible and there's practically no way to claim your funds back once they're stolen.

However, Bitcoin has many good characteristics which are superior to fiat currency. While this is true, it may not replace the Dollar but instead live alongside the government-backed currency. In the end, we'll be able to experience the convenience of using the decentralized properties of Bitcoin, while we use the Dollar for our everyday purchases. Just my thoughts Grin
