The government of United States will never let decentralized cryptocurrency replace their dollar. But if bitcoin will be bettet than dollar people will start using it more recently.

Borderless for People, Frictionless for Banks
It is only possible when the rate of the bitcoin become stable, but if the value of the bitcoin become stable then the most of the current user will not take interest because from the up & down in the value of the bitcoin they generate good income. Rest for the trade purpose bitcoin will soon replace dollar because bitcoin has no tax while the dollar has.
What is the main reason we want to investing into Bitcoin?
The volatility of Bitcoin is necessary for the growth of Bitcoin in short time.
Because its value can not be stable before the world accept it is better than Gold.

I believe digital currency will for sure replace fiscal currency at some point. Whether it will be crypto or even bitcoin, and when it's a little hard to predict.

Exactly. It's hard to predict whenever Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency will replace existing fiat currencies at all. However, as governments have become interested into blockchain technology, there could exist the possibility of fiat currencies shifting themselves to the digital world. As such, I believe that both cryptocurrencies and digital fiat currencies will exist alongside each other for quite a long time.

It's only a matter of time, before central banks and governments alike, eliminate the use of physical hard cash, to introduce digital payments in our world. Once this happens, then Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies would've prevailed in reaching mainstream status. So, it is not a question whenever Bitcoin could replace the dollar, but more if whenever Bitcoin could improve the dollar and help it become a stronger currency in the future. Just my thoughts Grin

Well.. its already happening. Paypal was like the first step? Apple pay and others payment methods are working their way through. Yeah, easy to use.

Banks are interested in getting rid off physical currencies, probably as much as governments. Handling and producing a currency takes a lot of money. If its digitial, it would probably be much cheaper in whole. But they won't join Bitcoin or whatever. I just don't see that happen.

My opinion:

No way. Banks and governments will never accept a decentralized cryptocurrency. Not yet. They rather start their own crypto, base on blockchain technology. But controlled.

Bitcoin isn't even yet disturbing other "real" currencies. It won't happen in future. The only way that could work was, if like almost the whole world would immidietely start using Bitcoin as currency.

Bitcoin changes the view on currencies of course. It shows that its possible to use it digitally and worldwide. Thats interesting. But that puts the whole thing on a highly political position and I don't see any crypto replacing real currencies, if its not made by a government.

Because in the future all people will not use money to buy things or food because it will be probably the nation will going to be cashless society and it will start with the bitcoin today for the coming future.

Dollar is the strongest and largest currency of the world, I'm pessimistic that bitcoin can replace the dollar in the near future, if the price of 1 btc = $ 1 billion then it can happen.
The price of bitcoin reaches $ 1 billion is probably one thing that can only happen in the dream, it too unrealistic, market capitalization will not be enough for bitcoin to do that, even if it is achieved, replacing the dollar is still not possible. The US government will not let the bitcoin affect the currency of their country, if bitcoin tries to do that, they will remove bitcoin in all ways, Bitcoin do not have enough strength to fight the dollar, the dollar is still an irreplaceable symbol when a strong country is supporting it

.Rreplacing the dollar is the thing that I think is impossible, this is because the dollar is the strongest currency of the world supported by super power USA, of course they are not happy if bitcoin replaces the dollar and will do everything possible to hack bitcoin.

I guess not for the near future. The government can not allow that to happen, people will not easily accept it, because those who understand about bitcoin much less than do not know it.

It should not replace any currency because we all actually need fiat unless Bitcoin gets used completely as a currency everywhere. That will bring a lot of adjustment to different countries as well as to the people.

Not that easy. In fact, some records of the argument before: the digital how to be replaced dollars, there are some things in cryptocurrency like Bitcoin and Ethereum makes people in general mind to use it widely, let alone to replace the dollar, because the dollar has become the money,
And I can’t guarantee even a few years of the future.

Bitcoin will change the dollar in the future. As in all national currencies, the use rate in dollars for trade will gradually decrease. There is a huge competition between the crypto currencies and the dollar. It is definitely Bitcoin which will be successful. All the national currencies in the world will die.
