Bear season or just the beginning
It might survive that long but it still depends on how bitcoin was used. If it is put into good use. There is also some downside by using bitcoin but I really hope everyone would benefit this and put this to good use so it can last that long.

Everyone of us might be gone then but bitcoin survives.

True, bitcoin expands, and it stores so much forum users nowadays, it may not shocked me if someday it will merge with other currency or even in paper money to increase it own value, people will have extra income, and someday I hope that bitcoin will still be decentralized for its own sake that government has no right to get some credentials from here, Banning in each every country of bitcoin must be banned well , bitxoin is useful we should all be thankful for that and not to abused it.

I hope it will survive in 100years, (hope) in the sense that other competitive coin may erupt after time, and if bitcoin relents it may not survive. but if otherwise. it will survive.

Without a doubt that bitcoin will remain. But there will be a lot of changes from the original code of bitcoin and just like what's happening today. Forks, segwit and everything just to improve the transactions and bitcoin itself. I believe that it can remain for 100 years but it's not going to be the original bitcoin that we have been using for now.
I don't like to speculate about far future - our expectations and hopes are most cases all wrong or highly inaccurate.
In reality, we have no idea what will happen to Bitcoin in the next 10 years, not to mention in the next 100 years.
The path of gradual improvement and evolution of Bitcoin is very likely to happen, but there is another way.
What if at some point in the future we encounter/create a revolutionary coin, some kind of 'Skynet' of coins.
This coins will be so advanced and so unique that it will overshadow all previous cryptos? Just like BTC changed the name of the game before.

Campaign Management?"Hhampuz" is the Man
who among us will be able to witness that day? I'm sure even there's someone who got lucky he will never remember this thread anymore
bitcoin will continue especially if adoptions coming from big businesses will occur, the fact that this is a system to lessen transaction online
so the more people uses it the more chances that it will continue to progress.

It all depends on how strong the demand, volotility, as well as the decision of the state regarding the ban or the adoption of bitcoin and crypto currency in general. We can hope that it will withstand more than 100 years, then, of course, most of the country will start taking bitkoyn as a currency, so automatically we will see many potential results that will make bitokoyn very popular.

I think it can survive that long as long as a lot of people support it, if we see from the history chart we can see a lot of people is interested in bitcoin and more countries want to adopting bitcoin, this could be a positive signal that bitcoin going to be big and survive for a long time

100 years are too long to give speculations.
We all know that right now bitcoin price is in all time high and over time bitcoin will continue rising.
We can't really tell right now like instead of speculating lets just put our hopes to this so we can all gain profit to this.
As long as there are traders that uses bitcoin, definitely it will last. No more but's and if's.

Ithink Bitcoin can survive after 100 years due to its stable foundation. Though in 100 years to come, there will be so many changes in the digital world, I believe Bitcoin can survive those changes and therefore will last for more than 100 years
Yes you are right bitcoin can survive after 100 years because nowadays bitcoin is very popular and most of the peoples want to use it but as a payment some people can not accept it due to their government is not accept it, but don't worry because the bitcoin communities show us that all government accept it very soon and after 100 years bitcoin will be very good position. So I hope after 100 years all of businesses and payment system will be change in digital currency and bitcoin will be number 1 all of the currencies.

Well bitcoin will not survive after 100 year, it is a first crypto and we all know what happens with the first ones, they all are being replaced by another much more powerfull and unique thing.
I think that bitcoin will vanish already in 10-20 years or it would be a shadow of another altcoin.

I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well

But what do you think about it after 100 years ?

I think bitcoin will be there but not sure about the value of the bitcoin. It is important that more countries should recognize the bitcoin as a legal currency, countries should regulate the bitcoin. it will be helpful for the bitcoins to grow in the long term and to earn the trust among the people.

Bitcoin is designed for the future. I think bitcoin will grow for the next 100 years. Maybe the whole world is already using bitcoin as a means of payment.

I think it's not very productive to speculate about bitcoin in such a long time period.
Within 5 years, ok. When problems occure, there is always a possibility to change the structure of your currency portfolio.
But in 100 years, that's not our problem anymore.
I like to think about stuff that might have real influence on my life.
Oh, and by the way: I don't think bitcoin will survive 100 years.
I suppose that the miners will find a way to mess up!

I don't think that bitcoin will survive after a 100 years because there is always a halving every 4 years so the difficulty after 100 years will become very high and that can cause bitcoin to fall because there is no profitability in bitcoin anymore but just like what other say, let just see if bitcoin is the real future and it can be only the real future if it will survive after 100 years.
yeah true that i think its true that you can never predict the future. after 100 year the world will be totally change that no one can expect something like digital currency. i think in next 100 year there will be many ways ways of buying and selling and the usage of digital currency will be totally change.
