Predicting bitcoin can last for another 100 years is difficult, this is because a lot of things can happen when it's been 100 years, for example is what happens with communication technology and transportation is currently not predicted 100 years ago.
Why not...... Let us make this happen... For the bitcoin...
I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

100 years ahead it's a very long time. Hopefully the bitcoin still gain the trust of its users, so that our children and grandchildren can taste bitcoin.
I will say that if internet is available the bitcoin will survive because it has a strong system which we can say that we can earn good amount of money by investing our amounts in this currency. in my opinion bitcoin will survive for many years and it is hopeful that we can earn good amount of money from this. Bitcoin will survive for 100 years and may after 100 years it is not the problem and not the fact we can't say regarding this.
Anything can happen in the future as it is unpredictable.But seeing the current situation in the market,Bitcoin can survive after hundred years also.It is the leading cryptocurrency today in the market and its price has touch the sky.It has gained a lot of popularity in the last 8 days and more and more people are in rolling themselves in Bitcoin.More and more people are now investing in Bitcoin as they know that the profit margins are very high. It only requires an Internet connection which I guess in hundred years will be available at every corner in the world.So it can survive in the future too and can compete with the Fiat currency. I think it will survive. This is just a beginning phase. It must will go long.
There will be hug gap of development phase in 100 year. Bitcoin maybe will the strongest currency on earth that already legalized in all around the world. one cryptocurrency to use for payment and everything. that's what i thought

I think it will, even if it will have no practical use, it will be a simbol of change, the simbol of a new world. I think crypto will radically change the way we live and Bitcoin has the merit for it. It's a simbol that will never die.
New ways of mining has been introducing. How to minimise the usage of electricity in mining process. New ways has been introduced. This is the era of bitcoin.
I think no, because surely this kind of cryptocurrency will have its evolution. Aside from that their a lot of ICO will came out by that time that has better platform and transaction process than bitcoin. Maybe altcoins are already dead by that time and will be replace by another new technology!! Sure its price will aim high in the future but i didnt see that bitcoin will last that much because theirs so many complains regarding on the transaction, this includes transaction fee and its speed. If it continues to aim high, well getting a high valued bitcoin. For small its just the vice vera. I hope all country will see thia

This could be a long time prediction for the future of bitcoin. Come to think of it that even frim a 2018 prediction about it is impossible to answer, what more is for the 100 years from now? Two things could happen, which is related to its value's turbulent. Either bitcoin will rise, since bitcoin is part of these development in such innovations which a wild guess that it could be more patronise as a new trade. But in the other hand, this is as scary as it will lose or end up.
I think yes, because Bitcoin is decentralized that no one can control on this kind of site. But after 100 years I think I'm already dead at that time. I hope that Bitcoin will be forever until in the next generation so that they can benefit how good is Bitcoin of making a big money.
Bitcoin can not be destroyed, and yes, bitkoyn will survive in 100 years, no matter how the world can be. Nevertheless, I'm not sure that bitcoin is still valuable, as it is now. In the future there will be more coins that are better and more than bitkoy, and for these reasons bitcoin will be replaced, and people will no longer choose bitcoin as a priority option.
The rate at which bitcoin is growing and is being embraced is definitely great and I have a feeling that it will be around for a long time.
Well it is possible but it is really hard to predict the future especially when we are talking about century. For me, the survival of Bitcoin is depends on people eagerness to make it stay, if they keep using it; Bitcoin will also stay on the line.

If banks can survive for 100 years then Bitcoin which is better then bank can survive even more longer years. More and more use will embrace Bitcoin and also its acceptance.
