I think Bitcoin will be replaced by the newest cryptos... 100 years is too long, maybe people have found new better & more secure technology similiar to blockchain today.

I think it will survive as a cryptocurrency. I had imagine in this 100 years Quantum computing will become common at some time so it will have to be rewritten to increase the computing complexity. But, I won't rule out that it could be difficult to rewrite so something new can replace it

No one can really tell what the future holds for bitcoin... With fast phasing technology that we have nowadays maybe there will be other cryptocurrencies that will take over in the market a hundred years from now. With the rising value of bitcoin at the moment, there is a possibility that it will last for a century.

It's really hard to predict on what will happen to Bitcoin after 100 years. Anything can happen along the way. If Bitcoin maintained its power and capability after nth years, then there's a possibility that it will still exist and could have a promising value. In contrast, it might be replaced by a new cryptocurrency with better features. One thing I am really sure about is that it will be more popular to people for the next five years and continue to rise.

I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well

But what do you think about it after 100 years ?

To talk about the existence of BTC for the next 100 years, I'm not sure. But I'm sure one thing is that BTC will exist for at least the next 20 years, until then if the BTC is more popular than it is now, becoming a universal currency, 100 years is a natural occurrence. But then the value of BTC will not be as much as now, the profit generated by this currency will also decrease.  Grin

We cannot know for sure. I thought that Bitcoin would not have a price above 5000$ this year and it hit almost 20000$. I hope it survives and more than that so younger generations can use it. But you never know what will happen in a 100 years, maybe internet wont exist, maybe Bitcoin will evolve even more, we'll see!

BTC will stays more than 100 years, just that as time goes, name may change and the website will be upgrading for a better future user's, and more secure than now, BTC are just started, and the dream of BTC shall come to reality, because BTC transaction is the one of the best and fastest transaction so far. and i believed BTC come to stay forever, and also reduced going to bank stress as long your part of BTC Trader, noting to worry about.

Bitcoin has little time left. I do not think that bitcoin will exist in 100 years.
More likely, there are his forks, which have much more value.

short or long term, I am very sure bitcoin will be a potential 100 years more. when technological advancements are more advanced, many people want quick and easy transactions, there is no time and space constraints, that's when digital currency reaches a golden age. of course the problem of pending transactions like a few days ago should be immediately found a solution, so it becomes more effective to be used as a payment, not just as an investment or commodity.

As long as internet is intact, bitcoin will survive.
Probably bitcoin will be the most-used or the base of currencies in the world when that time comes.

Haha i don't even know if the world will exist after 100 years. So, no one can give the right answer to this question. No point of thinking if it'll survive.

That's a long time for a speculation about something that is very young and not yet very stable, but I think it might last as long as it keeps being generated. It is hard to tell what will happen when the limit will be reached and Bitcoins stop being generated.

YEAH BITCOIN WILL SURVIVE
It will definitely stay alive in future, it is grabbing the attention of people due to the high profit it is rewarding and the comfort, simplicity and ease it is providing to mass. It is acting as a milestone in the way of crypto currencies. It will set new records of success in future and will replace all regular currencies in the future for buying and selling
