Yes, during the holiday season bitcoin's value have decreased and it's maybe because of bitcoin holders who withdraw some of their btc to use for Christmas. Now bitcoin is starting to hit peaks again from the dip that happened.
Yes, don't even bother with FUDs out there. It's only natural behavior of Bitcoin when holiday is coming, the price will be decreasing and going up after that holiday. No need to panic and stay read the latest news from "legit" site to avoid those FUDs.

Exactly. Everybody is rushing to buy gifts for their loved ones, also groceries for their Holiday Celebration. That cause the decrease of demand coz everybody is selling and definitely this is the time that many dumpers hated the most.

Of course yes. the price as of today is not that high like last last week because they are now selling there  bitcoins just to have some things to buy in christmas season and new year as well. though the price is now low for sure it'll increase soon.

Yes I agree, the price of bitcoin have dropped because of excessive selling that must have taken place recently in the holiday season which created a sudden availability of bitcoins in the market and in effect to which the prices have dropped.

People have sold their bitcoins for different reasons. The price was rising allot and many thought this would be the right time to sell, while some others thought kf encashing bitcoins to spend for holidays. Overall more selling took place than buying this season which made prices come down.
That is what I am thinking also that bitcoin price dumps because of this situation that this is a season for sharing gifts and blessings so I think a  lot of people withdraw their earnings so that they can give even for a little amount that they can share, even myself I shared what I can give especially for my family.

So it is the Holiday season and it was Xmas. How many people dived into their Bitcoin hoard to buy Xmas gifts and also paid for a nice holiday with their family?

We saw a huge increase in the price, early in the season and this might have triggered a situation where people rewarded themselves with some "Gifts" for the holiday season.

The direct impact of that would have been a higher influx of coins onto the exchanges and if that was not met with a higher demand for coins, then it would explain the drop in the price.

Did you splash out with some expensive gifts and extravagant holidays with your bitcoins, during the holiday season?
This is reality Because I also seen many times times in my career of bitcoin then when we expect that During the vacation price will get rise and also price will jump at festivals but soemtimes happened totally opposite of this because people needs money during festival to celebrate and that results into high sell of cryptocurrency ( specially bitcoin ) and that reuslts into loss of money .
But still some festivals gives reverse effect that what we discussed here , like they think something new at special days and they make investment in bitcoin ( it can be moment of new year ) .,So here we can say that we should remain ready that price of bitcoin at the new year can jump again with new investors .

Well .. year-end holidays should be a fun time for everyone. But not for miners or Bitcoin investors. Because bitcoin prices fell quite hard, which is about 40% (more or less) in the middle of last week. although, in the second week of December 2017 Bitcoin has touched its highest level.
No reason to complain there: most miners or Bitcoin investors acquired their BTC from 2009 to November 2017 (look at market cap) and are very happy with a BTC/$ rate at least doubled.
Usually the price of bitcoin fall during the holiday season and this year it is no exception,we might see some growth next year but i do not expect the same level of price rise we saw in 2017,because the rise was immense and no one expected that, but huge investments from wall street and other heavy investors made this growth possible.

Ofcourse, all possibilities can occur, especially if we see the possibility of entry of large investors. and at the end.. the development the bitcoin price will reach a level never prediction by anyone.

Maybe holidays are the reason why the price keeps on dropping down,
Because some of us who are bitcoin user or holder needed some money so we don't have a choice but to cash out some of our bitcoin,
And because of that it would be a huge amount of sell order so the price would be crashing down.

I don't think so, because not much people withdraw their bitcoin for holiday season. I see mostly they keep and hold bitcoin, because their hope end of the year bitcoin will increase or at least in january 2018. Some of people they get bonus from their job and use in holiday season. So they can save their bitcoin.

Thats true people tend to hold their Bitcoins cause probably for the upcoming year investors will invest here better than the prior year which is their goal to keep profit, cause when the time comes that Bitcoin become higher they can have bigger amount of profit.

The yuletide season may have affected the prices of bitcoin to drop. Since it is the season of giving, maybe lot of bitcoin holders out there cashed out some of their holdings making the price to go down a bit.

For me, I think yes, the christmas and Holiday season are the caused of bitcoin drops, and it will affect the price . Since people are cashing out bitcoin to purchase gift an used it for holiday, but this situation can be reverse if a lot of shops already accepting bitcoin, for sure people will do transaction using bitcoin and could increase the transaction volume, and the result the price could go up, maybe in the future when shops already adapted, price will go up in holiday season ..

I don't think that people withdrew their money just because its holiday season. I think the hard fork cause it all and correcting the price since bitcoin lately pump hard.

I say it's smart people who knows the new capital gains tax from crypto sales starting in 2018 will be a pain. Easiest way to fix this problem is to liquidate all to cash before new years and once new years hit/new tax season, purchase the bitcoin again. This will give you a clean ledger to work with. The dump started right during the week this tax thing happened.

Yes, the drop in price being experienced by bitcoin could be attributed to the Christmas season, there are massive dumps by some investors who wanted to use fiat for the holiday seasons and also price  volatility is also low during this period of the year and this is also the same trend in forex trading, the market will pick up in January after the holidays.

I am in the same thoughts as you, the supply of coins has risen and people have used their btc for xmas and expensive gifts so there have been a withdrawn in market which made the price to decrease as the demand decreased,

Not good to say its a worst thing happen, because as we recall it's market historical record it only stared in almost nothing until it reaches a certain price that nobody expecting that to happen. Even though we have experiecing this big dip but it is still doing great and  it is still give us profit if you invest it a few months ago.

On the basis of it, I really agree with you, everyone knows for sure of it.
but, maybe I am too dramatic to write such a sentence. because I do not mean to describe the miners / investors "complaining".

The major correction was long due and overdue. It appears to be the main reason behind the dramatic price fall in the last two weeks. So, no, I don't think it is because of the holiday season, though this doesn't mean that people don't buy expensive gifts with their quite decent Bitcoin earnings. A year ago the price had been surging through all holidays until the Chinese central bank came out and crashed Bitcoin on January 8-9.

Anyway, we are still standing higher than we were in November.
