You can find info on a lot of projects there and check if it is a scam and save your money.Lots of people are investigating projects and scam in order help people like you not to lose money, so use this at you advantage.
Xfinance is a scam.
Check this thread and do some reading please. My advice is when you find a project, first go to Scam Accusations board and then search the board and see if you can find it there. If you can then thread carefully and be smart and cautious.

Hi all , I'm a newbie in bitcointalk but not in Crypto field. I have about 6 Years of experience about this field.
As an Investor , Still i have a doubt with some active telegram groups. I have analysed so many projects and Most successful projects had an Active telegram Group.
So far I have analyzed 500+ projects before investment

C) 25% unsuccessful projects
D) 60% scam projects
But Now I have decided to invest for a projects having an Active Telegram group , But tell me your openion about these type of projects.

?] I have never heard or seen about Xfinance project, but my advice if the project has progress all the time or if the telegram group is active and there are many people discussing there including the admin to discuss about the project or product of the project, then I think the project is worthy of being an investment, because the possibility of the project being successful can happen and of course it will give you a very big profit.

I would suggest to focus on what the platform or the tokens offers. I am not saying all but most projects are paying to have telegram engagements, meaning they are faking the community. This is one of their way to hook clients. It's some sort of advertisement to deceive beginners. This is just my personal opinion after joining many telegram group. Most of them are really active and most of them as well turned to be scams. As an Investor , Still i have a doubt with some active telegram groups. An active telegram group is not a sign of a successful project, so you must be careful. And I'm not sure about Xfinance, because "Finance" word is sensitive, many projects using that name to attract people, so my advice if you don't know exactly about it better you skip it. An active telegram group is not a sign of a successful project, so you must be careful. ?] by lots of spams and fraud not only on project frauds but also in other sector as well like investment/hyips etc.
So the question if this is an indication for me to trust up a project on having an active community or telegram? Its a plus but not
a precise thing for you to rely on.
Active and responsive market developers are very helpful especially when building trust and confidence towards each other. But it won't just stop in there, of course, their continuous support is a must and so every investor confidently thinks that they are secured. However, we should also have to be careful and choose the best project because this is not only a thing that we are looking for, it is the potentiality of the project.
Successful projects must have a good means communication and having an active telegram can helps a lot. I usually get updated on telegram and if there’s no telegram group for a specific project, I don’t usually participate. The success can’t be based on telegram alone, there’s still need to see if the project is worth it and investors will come.
I usually believe that most successful crytocurrency project have a very active telegram channel.If a project has an active telegram they respond more,share more information and interact more with its members unlike those that are not active.But it still doesn't matter whether a telegram group is active or not all it matters is they are doing their job right.So it is not a guarantee to say all active telegram are succeed projects.
checking the activity of their telegram or social media is only one of the factors to follow thru to know where the project is heading to. some projects will post updates on their socmed rather than on the forum.
so for example, if you are waiting for the exchange listing, sometimes they will post this on their social media first before on their thread here. but it doesnt mean that if they are active in telegram, you can already assure their success. you still have to watch out what is their actual progress in developing their use case.

I don't think an active telegram group will determined if the project are succesful or not, and also it's depend on how an "Active telegram group" meaning for you. If a lot of people joined the group everyday, doesn't mean the group are active. If people talking each other like everytime, it's also cannot be suddenly determined as an active group, it's depend on how the quality of the conversation itself, especially when the project have an active Telegram Bounty which is required people to be active on the group.
I dont fully trust them. After all even those project admins lie. I mean they dont flat out lie but they still make decisions without telling their investors first. But i find them useful when asking about stuff im confused with atleast.
Most telegram groups are created for the purpose of deceiving beginners or not very experienced traders and investors. These groups tell you what is best to buy and some people believe it.
Scammers advertise exactly the coins they own.
I personally don't really trust active telegram groups, even though the project admin and team are always updating the project progress through the telegram group, but that doesn't mean that it's a green signal for you. I often find such a responsive team of investors + community, and that's just to convince its users. btw about Xfinance I don't know about the project, just my advice to do a thorough research and don't always trust or rely on telegram alone.

So for 6 years you analyzed projects just by looking at the telegram? not looking at the product or team that is in the project? If that's true then I'll give you 2 thumbs up, and I'll ask you, how much money have you lost while choosing a project from telegram?

He is looking it in a wrong way I don't recommend his study even if he did his study for 6 years, active telegram channel should not be included in a criteria I have a worst experienced on Adab, they have over 20 k members and many are actively participating in a discussion but in the end the developers run away with 20 million dollars, everything is well planned they just want to make the project look legit in their telegram channel.
There are telegram groups that are completely legit and those are usually really transparent. You can usually confirm the identity of owners and admins in multiple spots like Linkedin, Twitter, Bitcointalk forum and such.
But there are also groups that are used to scam people with lots of fake accounts and members that are paid to participate and create traffic.
You can check an example of that in my recent scam busting topic, where I reported a new Defi scam and connected 3 Telegram groups participating.

But there are also groups that are used to scam people with lots of fake accounts and members that are paid to participate and create traffic.

Most of them are scams, the Real project gathers money without of them, Like Oin.finance , Or they set up IEO like FIS , but this telegram funding is shady and most of them are unknown and usually rug the pull, I know a few of them and I am not interested in joining them.
They do not collect investment via telegram. There they only conduct mass advertising like other projects. As a rule, these ads are shilling fraudulent projects. This is what you should remember and not trust such ads.

I don't really believe in telegram groups because sometimes they using bots to add members. This is except for the TOP project, if for a new project I focus more on their social media. A good project will more active/transparent or sahring more future plans and things that have been accomplished. Twitter is the source that I looked at after checking whitepapers and others. About the project you asked frankly I don't know and just heard from you, doing this in-depth research will help you a lot.
the act of a telegram group does not guarantee the success of a project, especially if it contains so many bots. believe it or not, it depends on the existing developments. sometimes, a telegram is active sometimes because the progress of the project is good, and sometimes the people in it are active because they are demanding something. You only need to look at the state of the telegram group to conclude.
Most of projects on telegram are scams. It's even easy to add 10k members on a telegram group so I think we shouldn't judge a group or channels by its members.
