I am using it as an investment, but not a online investment though, better buy some stocks or safe up and get some real estate.
I think if you're using bitcoin to buy stocks or real estate that included investment or included in the spending bitcoin bitcoin,
I'm also more likely to use bitcoin for investment compared to currencies

Currently a lot of people are using bitcoin  as an investment the reason is that they do not have much knowledge about those sites where they can buy things easily with their bitcoins.

For now, I only use bitcoin as investment  I cant use it as a currency because there is only few things I can buy with bitcoin in my location. I hope there will be much more stores that accept bitcoin as payment method here.
the same as I did, everyone would know why many people find it difficult to shop with bitcoin, so they are reluctant to use bitcoin as their currency?

I treat bitcoin as both investment and currency, while majority of my bitcoin holdings as investment only have used few bitcoin as currency in few online stores.

Unfortunately, I'm not even able to use it as a currency because of it not being popular here. I've tried to get more people interested in it but without luck.

Saving Bitcoin is indeed a great option, but I haven't heard of any site/service that allows you to buy stocks with Bitcoin. And I actually think legally that's not possible yet. Can you explain what you mean by that? Maybe you didn't explain it well enough.

As I see now many of users who voted use bitcoins as currency and as investment. I use it just as currency. I make it only with commentings and not so active gambling from time to time, so my earnings in bitcoins are not so big. And I never bought bitcoins. Everytime when I save some more or less good amount of bitcoins I cash it out and use on shopping. That happens every month for sure.

Yeah even I prefer to sell my profits on monthly basis and use them for shopping and giving money to my family for their day to day expenses and keep my capital safe for future trading.
Some of my earnings i withdraw just to help my monthly bills.. for my family.. the same as yours.. we are not always shopping because the important here in my house is foods we dont need any new gadget..

using bitcoin as both
I tend to pay for my hosting,VPN(when I use it) with bitcoins,if a company accepts bitcoins as payment it is a huge plus in my books
I trade sometimes too,so if I feel that coins are undervalued and the price will rise-I hold them, sometimes longer than needed, lol
have had some stakes in different casinos bankrolls, nothing huge but managed to make some profit
consider it an investment Smiley

what VPN service have you used, can you give me some feedback on some of them that have been accepting bitcoin. i am looking to purchase a subscription of a VPN service and i don't like paying with credit cards or other normal ways.
I think there is a topic discussing exactly that:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/best-vpns-using-bitcoin-247212
I've been using Nordvpn but didn't like their speed, then I purchased Ipvanish which I was satisfied with, the subscription was expensive though
so nowadays I don't purchase cheaper yearly packages but just go pay-as-you go style buying when I need and only for a limited period of time
if you need privacy-do not buy Hidemyass as they log your every move, choose among vpn providers who are clearly stating in their faq or TOS:We do not log you!
another thing to consider is the number of countries and servers and the speed +,of course, the price
try to check the speed first before you buy ,sometimes you can message support and they would give a short term access to test the waters

I'm also using for both ways because of the fact that its both nice to do and investing is good but with the bitcoin you can also invest and buy things with it.
With the most other investments this is not possible at all so that is just so nice.

Yeah and apart from that you can also earn it, and if you are earning good then you don't need to put your fiat money in investing it and that is the best part of bitcoins.

you can also choose to go for a bitcoin debit card. it's of course not really the same as when you directly use your coins in a local store, but at least it gives you the opportunity to "spend" your coins.

It's a good thing you use bitcoin as investment as that's what many other people do in this forum. If you want to buy things with bitcoin in your location just use an exchanger and exchange bitcoin for money. Withdraw that money in your credit/debit card or bank account and buy anything you want with bitcoin.

That is the most convenient way to use bitcoins and I think majority of users are doing the same by converting them to local currency as spending them directly is difficult at a moment.
