I use them both.  Having the feature of money and as investment asset, I use bitcoin in the same manner these feature is present in Bitcoin.   I use it to buy goods and at the same time, hold it for price increase then sell it like an asset  when profit is seen.

I am using Bitcoin as both investment and currency without any problem for a period more than a year. I am using for online payments wherever is possible to complete the payment via Bitcoin. I do gamble with Bitcoin and also money transfer is mainly I am interested as it is cost effective and faster than banking services. I also hold 3 Bitcoins which is as investment for long term.

I use bitcoins not only as a currency and investment but also as a revolutionary technology. I believe bitcoin is good alternative to fiat when it comes to global transactions so I use it as a currency, I also think that bitcoin is still undervalued and might rise in near future so I use it as investment purpose and last but not least, I strongly believe that bitcoin has ability to transform the traditional economy we are dealing right now. Bitcoin will emerge as a mainstream alternative to fiat in future and this technology can really change the world in true sense.

I think most of the people use as an investment, because they're waiting to sell at a higher price.
i agree with you that maximum people use bitcoin as investment and they hold their bitcoin for rise up its price to higher , and i am sure that holder will be get a good profit from bitcoin.
It is generally slow and risky profit, though, and trading and other activities will easily earn you as much as twice or triple the amount you'll ever make from holding. It is just too slow for most people, and there are better way of earning profit.

Like many others bitcoin for me is about speculation more then buying items at webshops.
This may change in the future but at the moment it is speculation and speculation alone.

i think it is probably true, that you can just invest and don not use it as a currency, but this hardly works the other way around.
if you want to use it as a currency but hold to it when the price is to low, then this is also some kind of investing. if you just use it without looking at the exchange rate, then i would say you just use it as a currency. but it is not that easy to use it as a currency since a lot of the bitcoin payable services available are investment related.
Investment related? I beg to differ as the majority of bitcoin payable services are actually either selling goods or services like restaurants, shops, etc. It's true though that there are a lot of bitcoin investment sites but there are also sites where you can buy stuff, and physical shops that you can buy stuff too.

i use both.....but i prefer using it for investment
it was very nice, especially for new people. bitcoin does look like a currency, but the specific advantages possessed bitcoin that could be a promising investment tool. if you invest money that you have become one BTC, most likely at the end of the year, you can earn $ 1000 by selling 1 BTC. but for the better, use bitcoin as a currency and an investment tool, so you can have a lot of money

I'm using BTC as both. But obviously not my primary currency, I'm still going for my local currency. I'm basically using it as a currency to save money in, but it's also useful for really fast and safe investments. I know they involve risks, that's normal. But it's faster than investing in a thing with USD. Smiley

One additional example Senor.Bla is when a person just use bitcoin to gamble on online casinos that pays bitcoins, then he is using bitcoin as a currency. For all I know, the reason why fiat money are now called currency is because when its price value is no longer fixed - when the value of let's say a dollar will not be the same like 20-30 years from now.

I use both as investment and as currency. Sometimes when I had some coins and the price was too low, I usually will hold it till the price move up. But, most of the time I will convert it to my local currency.

I think you are considering bitcoin as an investment, since you are keeping it when the price is low and selling it at the right time, that means you are profiting from it which I think is a form of investing. If you are using your bitcoin as it is and purchasing something using bitcoin only, that's the time that I think bitcoin is a currency to you.

I mostly use it as a currency and withdraw it when price is high but sometimes I invest it whenever I have extra. But I only invest extra bitcoin since most investment sites are scam.

I do use Bitcoin as a currency because every time I earn btc I immediately exchange it. Into fiat because I would buy my daily needs for my family. So that's why I'm treating Bitcoin as a currency and I have a hard time on saving btc because it's necessary to exchange it to fiat to buy food and other necessities.
Yup, i do the same thing. I will get Bitcoin from signature campaign and some more from gambling. So I will not use more coins to gambling. I just keep some coins to play and rest of all coins I will sell for good price. This will help me for daily use.
