I personally don't feel the difference between paying with cryptocurrencies and fiat money. Because now there are many credit institutions offering a lot of incentives when using it to pay and sometimes we have a lot of promotions for electricity and water bills. even promotions from the simplest services like 4G packages and some money cards. Besides, the payment for crypto is very limited and the transition period is really slow because my country has not developed according to this technology. maybe that's why I don't have the best experience.
You should feel the difference from paying between the fiat currency and the cryptocurrency. If you are paying with fiat currency then you do not need to wait for the some confirmation from the blockchain because the seller receive the full payment while in terms of cryptocurrency, you need to wait and pay a little extra because of the fee that you needed to pay to execute your transfer request.
The difference is obvious to see and if we have had a basic experience with crypto and fiat, when comparing the usefulness of both in life, fiat seems to be overwhelming because wallet processing and operating with fiat are so fast, we don't need to spend too much time waiting for a confirmation while crypto requires a stricter one. And although some places and a few stores around the world accept crypto but individuals still use fiat as a preferred option with the highest utility, crypto is not for real life, it is for the investment world.

Actually I do. I beleive that cryptocurrencies are made to be used in real life for real things and not just like an investment asset. Usage in real life is their true value and competition to fiat currencies.
That is why I'm trying to find the balance between holding and spending Bitcoin. For me just to keep Bitcoin in some wallet isn't the best option.

If the lightning network becomes a huge success then yes the bitcoin will be used for both the payments and as a store of value. If not then BTC might be used as a store of value and any other cryptocurrency for day to day payments as the crypto adoption increases.

Yes actually, I also used Bitcoin to pay for my bills, other expenses, I make sure that at least I am doing something to market it and that is by using it, although not everyday for sure, also making it for transferring of money from my loved ones, so that I don't need to go to banks or to any remittance center.

Same here, I used crypto in mobile top-up and not only on paying bills but for paying my airline ticket booking. It is very convenient also I used it to shop online as more online apps accept payment from our local crypto exchange. Very useful for me and it saves time from queuing because you can just your mobile and tap.

Actually there are only few shops, store or etc. that are now accepting bitcoin as a mode of payment that's why he said that he doesn't feel the difference between fiat and cryptocurrency. For now it is much more convenient to use fiat as a means of payment because as what I've said only few establishments uses bitcoins as a mode of payment. When you use fiat you can instantly pay over the counter but when you use bitcoin you have to convert it into fiat before paying bills. So in short it is time consuming.
There are only "few shops" and for me it is the problem. The awareness is the problem because many people are still do not care about bitcoin. As a bitcoin fan, I see it unique because it is more convenient in terms of mode of payment but the merchants and businesses think that fiat money is still the best way so that they still not adopting bitcoin.

no, for reasons of regulation, but if regulations can be changed it is possible for us to use crypto in real life. imagine when they or someone only get income from crypto, it is very possible they will use crypto for their daily needs, because now they will immediately cash crypto for their daily needs and when many offline stores accept crypto then it can be ascertained the use of crypto for everyday needs will be very useful and beneficial

I definitely used Bitcoin to buy stuff, in the past I have bought games and clothing with bitcoin.
But the biggest purchase was that I bought my own pc with Bitcoin, I found out that a pc shop in my country accepted Bitcoin.
So I picked out the parts and got my pc I am still using it as well.

So I think it usefull for sure and a good way of paying for things especially via the Internet.
There's also youtubers who do video's where they try to live on Bitcoin for a day they are quite interesting to watch.

I recently watched this one and it's a quite good watch:

I have huge doubts about it, if the lightning network and bitcoin are unable to succeed in being accepted as a form of payment than most people are not going to bother to try to accept any other cryptocurrency in its place, bitcoin is by far the most important coin in this market and if it fails at something it is to be expected that most other coins fail at it as well because most people are not going to bother to adopt those coins if they cannot use bitcoin to pay for things in real life.

Until now I have not been free to use cryptocurrency for my daily life because my country has not issued a permit that cryptocurrency is one of the legal payments.  even so, I am very optimistic that the cryptocurrency will be adopted en masse in the next few years.

What about some micropayments and to have some transactions over the internet? Because I do really think we could bypass the withdrawal which is one of the barriers we are facing if the government is prohibiting us to do so, there are paypal and other platforms for us to still have money even without utilizing local exchange.
You should keep this optimism within yourself. Even in my country it has yet not achieved a legal status but I do prefer using it in my across the border transactions. This is because it is a way too quick than the local methods of payment and does not fall vulnerable to any sort of security check .Bitcoins due to their excessive usage would achieve legality in little time.
I think the legalization of bitcoin is still long for all countries, and for my daily life it is still difficult to use it to buy necessities. I think fiat is more useful now for payment tools, but we can produce fiat by investing in bitcoin, so I think we have to be good at using fiat and crypto

I want to use cryptocurrency in real life. I did some trade with bitcoin or etherum. That was a good thing for me. Because now this market needs to reach a wider audience. He's got to get out of the Exchange. People should realize that bitcoin is advantageous.

I am one of the supporter of spending crypto rather than holding it for a long time now. I spend crypto for many things online, I'm fact there are many sites where you can buy physical things with crypto. It's an easy way imo.
People are going to use their bitcoin in whatever way they find it is on their best interests, I know that many people in the forum want that we begin to spend our bitcoin, but why we should do something like that, to begin with almost no business accepts bitcoin in my country and the ones that do do not offer anything I want, I am not going to spend my bitcoin just for the sake of spending it especially when it is a currency that every once in a while gives you amazing profits.

Imo it is going to be one of the hardest things to do - to actually stop thinking that crypto is an option and USD is a basis of money.
I hope global adoption will meet progress in 20s so we can get rid USD or any fiat

I use it. However very rare. Because there are not too many institutions that accept bitcoin. Or what I want to buy is not sold with bitcoin. I think the number of businesses that accept Bitcoin will increase. A new economy is coming.
