Under positive thinking I understand the prepare to loose, if you are in easy mood that you may loose all of your money you play easily without a tension, such manner of the game usually leads to winning or at least staying in plus.
And since gambling is mostly because of luck, positive or negative thinking won't help. Maybe how you react afterwards. Just a matter of how you deal with your loss or winnings. But I don't think you have the real edge during the game.

I'm gambling sometimes not in a mood and I just loss, so it's better to be attached in what you are doing because when you enjoy it you might be lucky also. Mood only affects on certain kind of gambling games ( e.g skill based games ) because if your not a mood to play your game play will be affected but if does not have any effect if your only playing luck based games ( e.g dice , hi/lo ) because you arent doing any complex movement/thinking aside from clicking the roll button all the time .

While gambling emotions are always playing an important role in this field because if you are a gambler there you can make money for your basic needs are for your entertainment purpose so it depends on how you are so my opponents don't prepared for anything before entering into it will not been worth for your gambling Some people think that strong feeling affect the outcome of your bet. Always being positive will very helpful for Gamblers to be not distracted by anything because if you don't have the hope in your gambling then only it needs to a huge loss so positivity will make you take some more attraction in gambling in definitely gives the prophet most of the time. 
Its always been said that everything that happens comes from the mind first but in gambling it doesn't always apply since the possibility of losing is bigger than the possibility of winning. They think that by playing gambling, they can earn money but if they can realize that to earn money, they need to spend some money first and need luck before they can earn that money. From my experience positive thinking almost never helps me to win. It even has the opposite effect in most cases ... Well, not an effect, actually, because I know we can neither "attract luck" nor frighten it off with our thoughts. But that's what I've noticed, when I have AA on pre-flop, I can't help but thinking that I'm going to win this all-in, and I lose in most cases. And there are other cases, when I go all-in with JJ or 99 even, and when I see that the opponent has AA, I think "I'm gonna lose this time for sure", and, for some reason, I win mostly after this thought. Idk, maybe it's just my brain playing games with me though.
