it is hard to see that positive thinking will affect gambling because as far as I know, positive thinking only works on other things. but I don't know if this could help you or not because so far, I don't think about positive or negative thinking and I only play the games without thinking too much about the games. and if I can win, its mean I have my luck works well. but if I lose, then I don't have my luck in that games so I need to quit as soon as possible so I don't have to lose more money.
It can boost your confidence but if it isn't checked and controlled to a certain degree it can backfire and get you over confident and make you prone to mistakes and unforced errors while you gamble away your hard earned money.
I do agree with you in this regard because positive thinking is of great importance not only in gambling but also in some critical situations like the result of an average student, a criminal scenario or a war etc because when you will be able to think positive, you would automatically be able to put more concentration to the game and will win with much ease.
Yeah of course positive thinking affect gambling. When you fully concentrate on your game especially cards game which is more technical and more tricks are used in this game, you will have control of your game and the result will favor you. If your mind is scattered and you cannot concentrate your game definitely you will lose the game.
I disagree that positive thinking is equivalent to becoming focused at something, not only gambling. Positive thinking means being optimistic about the outcome, thinking that the results will be "positive". On the other hand, being focused at something means that you are looking at the whole picture and you're not being affected by external noises. Your focus is only at one thing. Positive thinking can even be a bad thing because you're hoping that the outcome will be positive and thus you will not anticipate the negative outcome as much as when you're focused at the whole picture, not being positive or a negative thinker.
Positive thinking has zero connection with your edges in gambling as positive thinking is happening only in your mind, not affecting anything else. If the outcome is negative, then the outcome is negative. Positive thinking doesn't do anything but make you delusional to a degree. After losing tons of money from gambling, so-called "positive thinkers" will be like, "I had fun anyway. Always look at the bright side!" Sounds deluded, doesn't it?
I could not agree more with you, mate!
Positive thinking is just in your mind and could not affect whatever be the result of your bets.
Of course, there are a lot of things in our lives, other than gambling, that needs to have that positive outlook in order to get through to any stumbling blocks a long the way - but not in a game of chance that is based on pure luck.
