Absolutely yes only the price of Bitcoin matters and nothing else. Tell me will you use Bitcoin will you show interest in Bitcoin if the price comes down to $1. I guess no.

I will not show interest in Bitcoin if the price comes down so drastically. The main reason of using Bitcoin is only the price and nothing else. May be blockchain is a Revolutionary concept but the value lies in its price so the price of Bitcoin is the main thing.

Yes it matters. If it's too volatile, merchants won't feel comfortable accepting it as its too much of a risk. Easy answer here. It could be years before bitcoin stabilizes, if ever.
Bitcoin was not only created for the merchant, if merchant is happy for sure traders and investors are happy with the volatility of bitcoin.

Traders are going to cry when the price of bitcoin decreases but if the price of the bitcoin incease they are going to be happy and going to have a party on there house some of good company are earning a good bitcoin daily because of there hardware mining. So even the price will change or it will change it's okay for them because they earning bitcoin daily.

Actually, traders can be happy with any price movement too

And not because traders are happy no matter what but simply because some of them (called bulls) open long positions and some others (called bears) short positions. Bulls are on the green platform, bears on the red platform. So when the price goes down bulls are crying while bears are rejoicing. Conversely, when the price goes up bulls are jumping for joy, and bears are weeping with grief

Bitcoin price is important not only for trailers but also for all those who have little in the Bitcoin wallets. it is a tangible asset and it should be evaluated. so each of us constantly monitors the rate of Bitcoin

Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter?

The price does not matter...the change of price does matter.

im agreed with you brother the changes of the price of bitcoin does matter for us and for those traders who trading bitcoin into usd and usd into bitcoin for them it is really good coz they making making or profit there. But for us holders you know the reesult.
Not only for traders but all of us who are using bitcoin. The topic simply says does the price matter? so even if there will be no changes in the price, it will still matter because that's our gauge to determine the value of bitcoin we have. Bitcoin will be worthless if without a price.

Oh yes it does matter and even matter the most but I believe in different degrees to various individuals. For someone who is into crypto-trading who knows a little variance whether positive or otherwise would have a significant effect on all other currencies he is holding then the price is of great importance compared to a normal guy who is just around to earn some passive bucks, then I would say dosent matter much to him... But they both have something in common which is, IT MATTERS...

Oh, yes, for me the price of Bitcoin has a great importance. I invest in Bitcoin, so I carefully watch the price of Bitcoins multiple times per day

Just like you I came in bitcoin for investment and also from extra income that's why it matters .

And I think in most people bitcoins price has a great impact for them so it also matters for them .

For example if you're an investor and assuming that bitcoins price lowered to $100 it will lead to many people might sell all their bitcoins.  Vice Versa also applies,  If bitcoins price continue to increase, it will give birth to many new bitcoin users .

Of course the price matters that is why everyone are interested in it and i believe the higher the price goes up the more people will switch to bitcoin, but i rather that they make the price lower and start using it as an international currency rather than making it as high as 1000$ and not being able to use it

Yes sure it is, because if bitcoin doesn't have value at all then people will not be interested with it. But since the price of bitcoin has high value, then many of us are becoming more interested into it and it does really matters. Because more and more people upon seeing the price of bitcoin, they can see that this is a real money.

A real deal, not a real money

I guess I can safely assume that in the eyes of the majority of Bitcoin holders, Bitcoin is not money but rather as asset which is known to have been profitable for the last two years. It is not very different in this regard from, say, real estate. Apart from that, it is certainly more liquid and convenient, and it doesn't require the deep knowledge of and insight into the assets like the latter. And in the short term, it can be even more profitable than these assets are on average (and by a good margin), though its long term success is still uncertain and questionable

Yes one more thing is it is like bonds and equities. I have tried to understand that side but yet I cant seem to understand it. The other problem is where we could invest there. While here in bitcoin it is just an easy task though not easy at start but it goes on as you know the simple methods. Unlike mutual funds where you need brokers or personel that could help you to get near it.

If without a price bitcoin has no value at all. It matters a lot to us as it is how we measure its value. When the price is increasing we are happy and the price is down we are not. So as an investor which I believe a lot of us here, we love to see a bigger price to profit as well.

I would say big price of bitcoin assures insecure and irrational people of its value. But sadly too high price of it looks very scammy to ordinary people so it does more harm than good. Just my 2 cents.
No it does not looks scammy if the person is well aware with finance and the features of currencies etc as he will know that the price of a thing increases if it will have a very high demand so it will mean that a large number of people have trust on it and will adopt it without any fear.

The importance of Bitcoin goes beyond a means of speculation, but the price matters, by the fact that the miners have a cost to continue giving support to the network.
They are necessary to keep the network stable and usable for the users, and at the moment the costs to maintain mining operations is quite high.
I would say that the price could still go down quite a bit for miners to make a loss. Especially Chinese Miners who got their hardware for cheap and don't pay too much for electricity.
