I would say big price of bitcoin assures insecure and irrational people of its value. But sadly too high price of it looks very scammy to ordinary people so it does more harm than good. Just my 2 cents.

If the price dont matter anymore then I dont think many will still be here staying with a currency or a commodity that doesnt have a value. A lot of us are looking forward into what level could bitcoin can do more in the upcoming days. With that includes its price also.
Of course, bitcoin price matter. Most people are buying bitcoin as an investment, hoping that the price will increased. Every up and down or fluctuation in bitcoin price is important.

Yeah bitcoin price really does matters. Many people says that reason why altcoins keep on going down and only went up temporarily when there are important updates and pump situations because they are always beaten by bitcoin.
Actually bitcoin is the first crypto currency so obviously it have high community support as well as other alts doesn't seem to provide better solution than bitcoin and most of them are backed by some foundation/company. There were several situation where those alt dev have dump their holding on market causing artificial dump so alts are only used by day traders to play and grab some profit.

Bitcoin price will tend to increase in long term because supply getting limited and adoption/demand going really crazy.

Bitcoin growing in value usually makes altcoins loose their value, the market takes a bit longer to readjust the altcoins value at bitcoin. Bitcoin price or any currencie does matter, if we consider 100 dollars to purchase something the ammount of btc we spent makes difference, think you wanna to buy a domain for those, 0,15btc or 0,10btc will make a huge difference.
That's true, bitcoin is continuously growing its value while altcoins drops when bitcoin pump, you have to think that for future investment only bitcoin is legitimate since altcoins is only for short term investment. Altcoins IMO is good for trading as it fluctuates hard than bitcoin.
Indeed mate.. so that's why it's better to invest more in bitcoins. Altcoins is good also because you can see some fluctuation in its price from time to time when you do trading. But bitcoin has more potential for you to invest because the price now keep going up.

Some argue that when the price of bitcoin grows, the price falls altkoin

Basically that is true and look whats happening now bitcoins price soar altcoins price go down since many traders for now prefer to sold their alts so they can earn huge from this current price rise and totally im really not surprised with this happenning and i am pretty sure that the alts price circulation well be back if the bitcoins price is stable,  just wander  around and you can actually see the domino effect of bitcoins price hike.

Yes it really is. If bitcoin has small value then people that earns bitcoin will stop or quit earning amd using it. Also people won't be interested if its value is small. If it has a big value and rising continuously, in the future more people will get interested to it and start to use it.

If that is a fact, then no one should be interested in altcoins. Altcoins cost much less than bitcoins but yet here we are investing in altcoins for income. Remember where we came from. Back then, bitcoin wasn't worth that much. People think it's a scam. They didn't prioritize it. But today if someone can go back to the past, he would surely buy as much bitcoins as he can. Just because something isn't worth that much right now, doesn't mean that there's no room for improvement. Actually there's a huge room for improvement. What you're not giving value right now might increase in price later.

For true devotees of Bitcoin, the price of the digital currency is almost irrelevant. They believe in its inherent value or, more frequently, cannot see any value at all in the alternative of government issued fiat currency. Price is therefore not a concern. At the other end of the spectrum, for those that harbor what appears to be an irrational hatred of Bitcoin and anything to do with it, the exchange rate also matters little. They were screaming that it was all worthless when the price was at over $1000, and somehow convince themselves that an exchange rate of over 200 times what it was before that bubble proves their point. For the vast majority of people somewhere in the middle, however, the price of the currency in Dollar, Euro, Yuan or whatever terms is important.

Yes it matters. The best time in trading bitcoin is when its price goes down. If the btc rate goes up, do not trade but keep you btc.

It's not all about earning dude because bitcoin is design as a currency and not as an investment. There still a lot of users considering this as a payment method and they are not investing anything.

Price matters no matter what. It is in trend now and the mass adapt it due to its valie. Its value increasing as expected and its stability now is more stable than before. The transactions with bitcoin now becomes bolder and wider. It smoothen the possibility on trading and transaction works.
It's matters to those who considered it as an investment, if the price is good people are interested to adopt and it will benefit the entire economy of bitcoin. People are coming in and price increase and we make profit, that's the nature of it and that is what we are trying to preserve to continue.

For the people that does use and buy and sell bitcoins all days the price will always matters, i remember paid one domain for some bitcoins at namecheap, if i had waited the new value after the halving my balance would be above 40% atleast, but well since i were able to use my bitcoins to pay for the service im happy.
I think whatever your destination using bitcoin, whether you're buying or selling or both, I think the rate or price will always be needed because without the price of bitcoin is not any and there is no meaning

It depends on person if he is using bitcoin. Of course for every person cares about what's going on about the currency he is using because inflation of money will cause problems for him and cheap things will be middle cheap, I wanted to say that small example. Now what's about bitcoin, this whole forum and Economics section is about them who matters about it's price.

BULL RUN until 2030

It would matter bitcoin is an investment and we can earn money and our basis is the value of bitcoin to compute how much do we earn by collecting bitcoin every day.

And bitcoin doesn't have value then usually the price of bitcoin is not going to be worth to invest. But since, bitcoin has a very good value.

Many of us are becoming crazy as we invest in bitcoin because the price is now increasing and that is in our favor.

But if the price of bitcoin is decreasing then for sure many of us will become anger and lose hope for their investments.
Not only now, we have seen big price increase in the past but this year is different because it's consistent this year and as an investor we hope for success in the future and we can only have that success if we involve ourselves in investment now.
