I think it might happen if the governments of the whole country agree on that. Moreover, virtual money will be more practical brought wherever, will be more felt if traveling abroad. I think people will also choose virtual money.

I think not everybody will accept cashless transactions, because not all people or businesses know about bitcoin although maybe they heard about it but they don't really understand what really it is, maybe in the future if this is truly explained and understand by the people then it will exist.
Sweden is widely regarded as the most cashless society on the planet. Most of the country’s bank branches have stopped handling cash; many shops and restaurants now only accept plastic or mobile payments. But there’s a downside, since many people, in particular the elderly, don’t have access to the digital society.

I'm not sure. Maybe in Sweden their unemployment rate is small or maybe none, so it could be happened. But what about the country who have a big unemployment rate? What about the poor people who don't even have a bank savings. Automatically they won't have any debit or credit card. They need their money in cash. So i don't think cashless revolution could be done in all countries. Maybe for some countries but not all of them.

unlikely, bitcoin will never be able to replace cash. because the cash currency is a state asset and each country will not want it if its assets are replaced.

It seems there will be many countries opposed if the use of virtual currency will result in extinct cash. Because cash will be more easily monitored, it is related to the financial system of a country's finances.

Cash transactions will not be extinct,, as we know cashless transactions requires at least a media or gadget.. such as debit card, credit card and smartphone. In the third world, you will find it uncommon. Almost every society in the third world still rely on cash transactions, even on a remote locations, barter still exist!

Cash will never be extinct for it still has the characteristics that bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency does not have. One important thing is being regulated which some might find a disadvantage of cash.

Maybe this will happen when other countries do the same. Other payment methods will be applied such as credit card, ATM, debit card and pay by phone.

This is just a kind of speculation. We understand that many countries still refuse to use Bitcoin.
If many refuse then every state that refuses to have a good reason to refuse bitcoin.
Although other countries plan to remove paper money and replace it with the digital currency.
This is too hard to understand.
It is quite difficult to convince many countries against Bitcoin.

now more and more easier ways of payment when compared with cash. for that I see that someday cash will be replaced with other payment methods that are easier and very efficient, so that slowly cash will be extinct.

I think that it will take a lot of time to reach this point of disappearance. the government just won't allow to throw the local money, money and to accept digital currency. people use money as a payment method in transactions. also it would be difficult to adjust their delivery of bitcoin or any other altcoin for shop and the market.

What all thoughts people have needs to be checked that when crypto comes that too few countries have already banned it and still they think cash can extinct. As if all the population in the entire world has an excess to computer, electricity, internet and are literate to trade in this. This will never happen and possible not even one country can stay without cash.

I'm sure cash will always persist even though the volume of usage is very small and is only used for small transactions, the future of the transaction system is cryptocurrency because it has many studies that the benefits of cryptocurrency is greater than the existing system.

If and only if the execution of a pure non fiat country policy is successful, also let's not forget the other factor which is how strong the hold of these banks is on the country. Then again, if crypto currency become a stable universal currency then I'm guessing fiat will be a thing of the past. Then again, it will takr a long time im sure.

Sweden is contemplating to stop using cash by 2023, does this mean cash might be extinct if other countries follow suit?

https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2017/10/sweden-could-stop-using-cash-by-2023?utm_content=buffer40bef&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer
If other countries follow a Swedish country that lays off cash of course cash will be extinct slowly. As more and more people lay off the cash, the fate of cash can be threatened. But I'm not sure this can happen. Because we all definitely need cash for our lives every day. So I'm sure the cash will last forever.

If cash will be become extinct in the future this doesn't matter anymore. It is only mean that we are already at the highest level of advance way of living, where every traditional way of man's pattern to live is already gone. People are enjoying the advance technology, the security, the convenience lifestyle, I think this is the ultimate dream of many inventors and scientists, they are very much excited to see their success that brings great change to humanity.

possibly, but i really doubt that cash will be extinct. nowadays everything works in instant so its possible that we adopt to that technology and make the the cash we use as a digital cash, less hassle, safe and secure just make sure its Blockchain based otherwise I'm not interested.
