Hello people,

I have a lot of DOGE and I am thinking about changing it to BTC or should I wait. I mean does anyone have any predictions about the price. I do not want to make a mistake and sell everything and then be sorry in a few months? Thanks

Angell

You could sell now into Bitcoin and then wait for altcoins to start recovering, maybe the last of quarter of 2019. And then buy back your DOGE. Or could just wait fo altcoin season to come back.

The worst thing you can do is sell now into fiat.

its hard to predict an altcoin to bitcoin, including doge my friend
because, in my opinion a lot of people focused on bitcoin now, as you can see now bitcoin dominance about 70% at market capitalizations right ?
i thinkm maybe its better for you to exchange a half from your doge to bitcoin and keep it a half buddy

Doge coin still have the potential to increase in the future, so my suggestion is that you sell only a part of your DOGE holdings and exchange them to BTC, if you need Bitcoin fast. Otherwise, keep holding your Doge coins, if you don't make a profit you won't lose anyway.

Personally, If I'm in your shoes, I will move everything on bitcoin months ago. It's obvious that most altcoin investors are shifting to bitcoin to make money because the altcoin market is bleeding. The question is how much DOGE to currently have?

I know that DOGE is not a shitcoin, however, if you are thinking of creating money in this market then it's better to shift them to bitcoin. This is just my opinion though, the final decision rest in your hands.

It is now or later, sell your stash now. The first Doge I bought was around 500sat but has lost most of its BTC value since, if the project BTC bull comes and reach the height of $50k and above then expect many of these ALtcoins to dump to nothing, why would I want to hold ALtcoins when Bitcoin is raging

As expressed by other response on this thread of yours, this may not be the best time to sell DOGE as the price is really low but then again we don't know if and when it can be making a comeback so the decision is all up to you. In case you really have big doubts then I am suggesting that you wait until next year as there might be some possibility of recovery for DOGE. I also have a little hoard of DOGE and I already decided to forget them until 2020 and whether the value can go higher or even by then I would let them go.

Make sure you analyze it carefully before making a decision, you don't have to worry about holding DOGE because they have a great trading volume, liquidity is not a problem.

Based on the graph - https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/dogecoin/
Doge ATH was 0.0173 usd and now its price is only 0.0023 usd, which means it's only holding 13% of its ATH value.

On the other hand, let's analyze BTC, let's say its ATH was $20,000 and now the price is $10,000, which means its holding 50% of its ATH value.

Therefore, it's not wise to sell because you will lose money with what happen to DOGE and you need to see BTC to grow more than 7 times for you to break even if you bought your DOGE at its peak. I hope you'll understand my analysis, bottom line, don't sell.

And other than fundamental analysis, Dogecoin has more transactions compared to the other top 10 cryptocurrencies. Because of its transaction speed and its fees, it allows us to send more than what we can do if we are using Bitcoin, ETH, and others.
holding it is the right choice, for now, If I were you I would not sell it unless I am in need of money urgently.

He is not in need, he is just thinking of transferring his investment to BTC, which he already made a final decision to hold his DOGE.
Yeah, you are probably wright. Thanks for the advice, I'll wait.

I'm happy that OP didn't panic and still trust the altcoins he bought even some people think that dogecoin is a shitcoin but this shit coin is still here gaining the trust of investors as we can see on its good trading volume.

Think twice, mate. Red season is buying season, not selling. Wait for the green days before deciding to sell. DOGE is falling but so are almost all altcoins. I am more than sure that DOGE is going to make a rise when Bitcoin dominance will fall down. At the current dominance, which is at least 70%, you cannot expect altcoins to fare well. That includes DOGE even if it is holding on to the top 30.

What was the price when you have acquired those DOGE? Royse is correct. This moment isn't a good timing for selling alts but if you are on profit upon selling right now, I think if I hold those and I'm determined to acquire bitcoin, I won't doubt of selling it right now.

But the bad news is, it isn't mine and it's yours.  Tongue

You can try to see the latest chart of doge and it is always getting dumped and what you can expect from a dead coin with no development combined with hyperinflation? Bitcoin always becomes the best choice to convert but it's very confusing to consider about doge can be pumped anytime and it much better to keep some in doge and you can put the rest into the bitcoin to make sure you have gotten the safe investment.

Yeah, I have noticed that but still not sure. I'll just wait a few months. I'm sure in the future all crypto will increase as more and more people start to use them. Thanks.

i see doge still make small pumps but it seems on critical condition unlike bitcoin so you should switch in my opinion. Especially if you want to accumulate profits.  Because there's no future on it even if you keep holding for long run.  See the chart history because it become stagnant after diving from the top.  In my view it takes years again to recover like other altcoin.  So you better think about it.  Regards

I'm expecting now at the end of the year that it will rise that is the reaseon I ask for opinions but okey as I said better to wait a few months more than to make a mistake.

uncertain market conditions and we don't know what will happen later. therefore it is better to wait for the right moment or wait if there is a pump going on. indeed the doge is often said to be a dead coin that is no longer being developed, maybe the value will go up or down, but you will not lose the coin. keep holding until you feel you have made a profit.

DOGE itself is actually a potential coin, but here the situation is not okay for all Altcoins without exception. But if you change to BTC you must be prepared to get below the average, because now DOGE prices are falling.
As for predictions it seems a bit difficult but I have a feeling that DOGE will pump in the next few months, but this can't be your benchmark because it's just my own personal feeling. All decisions and predictions depend on you, you want to sell or hold.

Yeah, because DOGE had a good price a few months ago but now it is going down. And BTC is rising so I am not sure.
Crypto market is always unpredictable. After few days you may see the doge price is 50% down than what it has now and in that case selling your doge now would be a good decision. The opposite can be seen as well. After few days doge price can up by 50% and in that case if you sell then you will regret.

Everything comes down to your instincts. If you feel you should empty your bag then go for it or hold them.

Good luck.

I think this is a time when Bitcoin and altcoins can spike in the coming days. These are just my personal thoughts on last night's chart.
I see that the market is going down and the alts are starting to bleed, but only bitcoin increased by almost 1% last night. it is a sign that many investors are selling off their altcoins to continue preparing for a bitcoin pump.

DOGE will eventually rise again, maybe you wait a bit and look for the right timing.
BTC is recovering already but it could dump as well, however, when it dump it will make altcoins dump more, so your best chance to sell your DOGE that you will not loss a good value is when the altcoins season will start, then you can convert some to BTC which is undoubtedly a good coin for long term hold.

If you think you would gain some more when you buy bitcoin, then why not?
but decision like this required a lot of research so that you will not end up scratching your head when the tables turned.

The best way to do is to give yourself a little time to see the price movement of doge
and when you see it's all going down, then you need to make a decision as soon as possible.

You should wait until Doge price increases. You can also sell and buy many times if the price of Dogecoin moves. But I guess that will not give a nice profit if the price does not increase higher. If the Dogecoin cannot increase more than 50 satoshi, then your profit will not be bigger, but if you can accept those profit, you can sell it whenever the price rises.

But no one will have the right prediction about the Dogecoin price nor the other altcoin because of all of the altcoins following bitcoin price. The Dogecoin itself will have a big chance to increase higher because in the order buy and order sell, and there is a big queue that is ready to be filled. So you need to be patient and don't tempt to sell Dogecoin because other people say the price will be down.
