So with his New Hampshire win, The Donald has solidified his place as the front runner for the Republican nomination for president. Has he ever stated any of his thoughts/ideas/position on Bitcoin ever? I've not been able to find anything on the google.

He is anti-establishment and has very strong ideas on border control, illegal immigration, repealing obamacare and fighting ISIS/terrorism and creating jobs/growing the economy.

Anyone have any ideas on what his stance on bitcoin might be?

Since he's a conservative and supports conservative ideia (and is probably backed up by financial institutions), I believe his stance on bitcoin will be definitely against it.

i would make the same guess. hes the biggest morron ever he would never understand or even care what bitcoins is.

I honestly doubt any republican would ever support the concept, since banks are among the main donators for their campaigns.

Rand Paul was accepting Bitcoin donations for runnig his campaign.

And also participated in Bitcoin related events.

Why do people talk about this idiot here? i though only stupid people wanted to vote for him, and here we had a community of intelligent people...

Why? because he's the current front runner for the republican presidential nomination - at least for now. And as such, there is a real, albeit a far from now possibility, that he might end up in the White House. I was just curious if anyone knew what his stance on bitcoin was.

A little off topic, but what exactly is your reasoning behind your thought that "...only stupid people wanted to vote for him"? Just curious.

Agreed. Why talk about that nuisance candidate here when he only thinks about himself and his idiocy? Even if he endorse or introduce bitcoin together with his candidacy, that wouldn't do bitcoin any good, but harm in itself in actuality.

First of I don't think he'll win the elections, but let's imagine he wiil. Then that depends not on him because I think he has no idea what Bitcoin is but rather on some people from his team and those people might be quite smart because he can afford to hire smart people.

He could buy quite a lot of BTC. Will he accept Bitcoin? I have no idea because I cannot figure his real intentions.

Donald Trump, if he does end up winning, probably won't care all that much about Bitcoin. Technically it can be viewed as a capitalist/libertarian venture, and thus doesn't go directly against any of his political stances.

I haven't been watching Trump enough to care really figure out what he will be for and against, but I would assume that Bitcoin is not a major issue for him.

Wow didn't know Trump would do those, but I guess you don't know that in the Obama regime, unemployment rate is at 4.9% one of the lowest in the USA, medium wager per hour is 34.2 USD and medium monthly payment 5000 USD and a bit. Get out of the way Republicans, no one has worked better than Obama in the economy and I base my opinion on facts like the ones stated. Stop promoting an idiot like Trump , oh yeah I hate him since his stupid TV shows, where he says You are Fired. Trump you are fired now, I have always wanted to say it and this forum is my possibility to do so.

Nice post, I also think he's an idiot and would jeopardize everything Obama has managed to do for the economy. I don't see a guy like him admitting bitcoin, ever.

I know Trump is anti-establishment and he seems to hate Wallstreet, but that doesn't mean he will like Bitcoin.
Would be really interesting to know what he thinks about it, however my gut feeling is not a good one.

How come a billionaire is anti-establishment? This is all just branding to reach for a larger political spectrum... beware, Trump is much closer to radical conservatives than to anti-establishment politics.

Even someone like Donald Trump cannot afford to run for president by himself. It would badly hurt his wealth and would not be worth it. Maybe he funded the start by himself, but when things got more serious, ofcourse he found donators for his campaign.

You obviously don't know much about Donald Trump.

https://www.opensecrets.org/pres16/

and

https://www.opensecrets.org/pres16/candidate.php?id=N00023864

His net worth is well over $4 billion. If he spent $200 million on his campaign, which he doesn't need to do, it would cost him 5% of his net worth. A years worth of interest, basically.

Donald Trump loves money.

All money is money*.

Donald Trump has no 'donators'.

Clearly, Donald Trump is your man if you like Bitcoin.  Vote early, vote often!  Vote Trump!

Did he ever say anything about bitcoin? any link quote?

He would never do that, that would mean there would be massive financial support to his opponents from corporations that do not want bitcoin to develop.

Trump is a joke, I wonder how can people still take anything he does seriously. He would never embrace a disruptive technology as bitcoin.

False.
