Just a quick heads up -- woke up to find "check point errror" this morning.

Also I noticed that the getpeerinfo is showing all of our peers as :

        "subver" : "/cleanwatercoin:0.7.2/",

Is this a factor?

Let me know what other ways we can help get this coin back online?

Just announced a few minutes ago on the 2Give thread

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-2give-new-mobile-wallet-available-from-satowalletcom-741714

doabitofgood.com has now successfully built it's first GiveCoin Mac OS X wallet from source!

We will work with the CWC team to produce this wallet for the community.

Our goal is to establish a full-time development lab where pro-social coins like CWC and GiveCoin can be reliably and repeatably built for deployment until we can complete filing the paper work for our Strength in Numbers non-profit foundation to take over the assets and 'ownership' of this function from us.

Sincerely,

So I am looking at the official pool and I noticed the pool hashrate shows 139.93 mhs currently and the network hash rate is 122.97 mhs. I expect some variance but....... over 10 mhs? Is the probable?

A 13% variance minute to minute does not seem too far outside of the ordinary -- given what nodes may or may not be connected -- hashrate doesn't necessarily translate to value-add-shares -- easy to crank it up if you can get a pool to accept minimal difficulty shares...

This is just based on my own experience building and running pool servers and calibrating the pool hashrate to those of the individual miners.  The best you can get IMHO is a rolling average based on a sliding window.

just my .02

I don't think the new wallet, 1.8  is working correctly.  It immediately starts PoS'ing everything and the block numbers are not even consecutive.  If you "checkmininginfo" the block numbers get higher then lower and invalidate previous PoS coins.  It also won't stay in sync with the pool and the block explorer.

I still use 1.7.0.1 and it is working fine.  I stopped using 1.7.0.2 after having problems with it also.

have you tried syncing to just the following 2 nodes?:

irc=0
dns=0
connect=107.170.217.4
connect=107.170.89.103

I realized I had the same error on my wallet, through this in the config and re-downloaded blockchain again.  All is good, no more error.

Thanks for posting!

Sync'd up and then flipped those over to simple addnode to allow others to attach.

BTW, I just announced out on Twitter that doabitofgood.com now has a working Mac OS X build workstation !!

Kinda strange.......my wallet is showing my weight higher than the network weight.  My weight is around 3.5 million and network weight showing 440k.  Thought I would share just in case is an issue.

Would like to know where I can mine......just in case you missed my last question on this:-)

the official pool is mining the correct chain:

payouts may be temporarily disabled however

Well if you're keen on donating hashpower to doabitofgood.com you're more than welcome to mine at:

stratum+tcp://nomp.inter.com:3340

any user/pass combo should work :-)

We ARE switching our accounting system over shortly from named user accounts to just simple wallet addresses.  Not quite sure how it will work with a pure POS setup since we're going to be staking against our coins, and the POS reward is pretty low IIRC ?

The link says I need permission to access the wallet. Can we get this hosted on mega or somewhere we can download. Also, any word from bittrex?

Try now:

Windows: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gxdbr95x5k4u7ur/cleanwatercoin-1.8.0-windows.exe
Linux: https://www.dropbox.com/s/c0svl56rpqddm8r/cleanwatercoin-1.8.0-linux
Mac: Coming soon

New wallet looks great bud!  I did have to re-download the blockchain.......just in case anyone else has probs getting to sync.

Question........you say there will be 10 days of POW left but none of the pools listed are functioning..........where can this be mined?
