It's QUALITY not quantity (other than your stakeholder status) in 2GIVE that is going to matter most IMHO :-)

   Actually just a Sr. Member, though I still try & give 190% when I can. The want to cross that board of Legendary isn't for me, as communication wouldn't be one of my strongest suits. Future of understanding seems to grow over time though, a picture says 1000 words & video says an unlimited amount of understand.

Predictable Hard Forks would fix many problems, as a charity coin & directed toward giving might work well.

   I more than like it, as have I upon seeing many improvements in theses applications & whitepapers are old manuals to me (TV or Book if you Will). Not all can understand manuals, but many can still put things together if needed & always wanting to help 

This is EXACTLY why we're proposing doing a "Predictable Hard Fork" every so many blocks -- that would take all the unspent outputs and cast a new super-genesis block to start from.  You can read more about it in our whitepaper of course:  http://bit.ly/2GiveCoin

The chain "bloat" is why 2GIVE has a whole "coalescing" function built in to combat the fractioning that happens with POS operations -- instead of trying to find a single right-sized coin to fulfill a send operation, we try and bundle up smaller outputs + 10% of the wallet balance to flow back as change to keep building bigger units.

I spent the better part of a year doing research and at least six alpha chain tests before I was finally comfortable putting out Release Candidate One (RC1) of 2GIVE

*there is no reason why most of theses chains get so long, swaps should have been done on many of these when they actually started to gum up

   That would be a understatement for many, not quite the semi-animals it takes as some chains need giant elephants to move & that's just the engineering of the worlds designs. I have watched the worlds devices keep git smaller & less of what took to much effort, can now help all. Nothing is perfect, but we still imagine a world of it & search for it.

The new node I spun up is getting stuck at 150998 -- I think what i'll do is just rsyc the blockchain over and then restart  / reindex it.

Thanks, now my wallet is connected to network (1 active connection) but the blockchain is not syncing. I'm stuck at block 520498.
