Additional also on some gambling websites that are just collecting every personal information of people that will sign up on their website. Especially the password and your email address like they will use the email address and password to login to some website that they will likely guess it. Be careful always on visiting and registering accounts online, always double check.

Yeah, I think you are talking about the very first advise given by Op. And this is very instructive, I hardly visit a site that has not been discussed on the forum. It is too risky because if you eventually register in a scam site, you can be scammed in various ways and one of it is that, you will be getting tempting messages on your email
The same as here, I don't usually visit gambling sites that didn't have ads here. Those gambling sites that found on google and sending you an email usually have shitty activities. Unless if that gambling site having sig ads here I didn't have doubt to deposit my money. The situation that happens by OP friend was greediness he was tempted by the prize.

My friend recently get scammed by a gambling site which he found by continuously browsing. On internet. Sorry but even he cant remember the name so i cant tell you but here's what you wouldnt do. He said he was searching about how cryptocurrency gambling work. He is much aware about bitcoin but not about using it for gambling. He find some "yellow botton" he said which offers gambling for newbies and the rest is history. Goodbye $200 . yes thats kinda bit small but should you wait that it happened to you with a bigger amount? Here's what you would do.
1. Dont click and browse non recognized site to avoid phishing.
2.. Always ask first the people on this forum whether the site is legit or not.
3. Dont put too much money on that site so if ever its really a scam, the amount it can get is minimal.
4. If it looks really legit, try some few games with few bets at first.

Being cautious costs less than not being aware at all. Dont let our greediness and dumbness takes over our financial life. Be safe people.

It's unfortunate that your friend cannot even remember the name of the scam site when he should so he can warn other people, so they cannot do what they've done to your friend,  the first thing your friend have done and to those who have been scammed is to report it immediately in this forum or any related forum and the most important thing is, not to forget the name.

It's your friend fault then, randomly gamble on random gambling site from google and not searching or review first lol.

Talk to him, don't always trust whatever come from google result lol. It's not always safe, rip $200. There are so many online gambling, so be careful folks!

Correct, considering a lot of scams online nowadays, it's not advisable to gamble on any other sites without checking if it's legit or not. Maybe the friend is so trusting that he didn't think of anything else but to gamble only. It's surprising though that he can't remember the site when most of scammed people can't forget anything that ripped them off.  Shocked
And as what I have said last time,I don’t know what comes to their mind to just check random sites and played to it when there are thousands of sites(or I am exaggerating lol) that offers legit gambling experiences here

This will serve as lesson to them that to not trust sites just that, and always keep in mind that gambling is the most scam place in crypto world

The fault was totally belongs to your friend why playing at the casinos which don't have reputation and when decide to play at the particular casinos it should not be done with rush because research is necessary to ensure playing at legit casinos and don't ever tempting for big bonus if the casinos which offering those bonus brand newbie of have no reputation because possibly they will attempts to scamming people
That’s mostly the problems; most people will just hurry to play on sites that offer huge bonuses without proper investigation. I have made these mistakes in my early years of gambling and I have really learnt from my mistakes. Its not worth it to lose money out of impatience. $200 might be small to his friend but there are a lot of people who work so hard to get this money.

Personally I don’t gamble in an unknown site, I do my proper research before gambling and from study it seems like most known sites are always more reputable and trustworthy. My first scam experience with a gambling site was a new site, I crashed after sometime and my friends told me that it is very common with new gambling sites.
I will tell you about the way things work in the market. Something that is the best out there is advertised and is sold on high prices. Something that is the worst is also advertised and is represented as the best service/good and you are charged for that. That being said, it is necessary to understand that there might be good and bad casinos websites when it comes to the provision of services but you have to have that trait to feel if one is good as compared to another. Only then you could make some money. Staying on a casino with some weak service is going to be very tough for you to make money/enjoy at.

Indeed. Don't be a dumb gambler and primarly avoid those mistakes:

Seven deadly sins of sports betting

Do you have some ideas with what we can expand that list? Is there something missing?
That list is completely exclusive. The forth sin which was listed as WRATH is one thing I never cease to emphasize on when teaching players on how to gamble. There is always an ideal mood to gamble and that is just when you are in a normal state of mind. Over joyousness can lead one to make mistakes in gambling. I read the story of a man that won over $100,000 from gambling, he was so excited that he tried going on another bet with the money and within a blink of an eye, he had lost it all.

The last line is everything; play with your heart and not your heart. Adding emotions to gambling is one of the greatest mistake any gambler would make, both happy moods and unhappy moods should be separated from gambling entirely.

What I normally do is to game with platform on the forum and go through their site review to know vif the gambling site is legit and not sc you. But most of the gambling you fi e on Google may not have any good review and reputation but you will never know until you get in to start noticing the scam activities from they platform.

We can’t assume is  greed. Not everyone is greedy to lose money in gambling; at times it could be a mistake. It’s possible that his friend didn’t even take note of the site his opening or he just clicked on a site mistakenly. There are so many scam sites out there and I have been a victim, so I can tell that not all loses are due to greed, although I know perfectly that greed is a problem that causes most losses in gambling.

My suggestion is for everyone to always go through reviews before gambling on a site, don’t be too convinced that a site is genuine because of the bonus offers or whatsoever they have to offer. It is also important to be careful while browsing through the internet, to avoid clicking on wrong sites.
How can his friend not take note of a site opening, is he a newbie in gambling and what the smartness we preach here always is. It is very clearing this case that the young man was greedy and I can say this without mincing words that if we dig deep, we would always realize that of 1 to 10 scam issues that happens in gambling, there is always an atom of greed on the side of the player.

Let him that have ears hear, if anyone fails to go through reviews, check out familiar websites in gambling and do a proper research before gambling, they should be held responsible for their action and learn to put blames on themselves.

This pretty much common sense. I think most important is #2 among you mentioned.

Basically make sure your AV is up to date and when you come across a site you want to try, go look it up on the forum to see reviews.

If there are none you can either make a thread about it to confirm if others have also heard about it or take the risk and be the first to try it, THEN make a thread about it.

I don't find this to be real, because even when you search internet for a gambling website with cryptocurrency acceptance you'll get a list of gambling websites that have gained good reputation from the cryptocurrency users. I think he might have got scammed through some referral link which he could've received into his email.
I have also thought that way. Maybe he was lured by some referrals which had made him scammed. It's still advisable to make a thorough research not just in the internet but also to this forum. There are a lot of gamblers here that can be of great help to us. We don't need to be more greedy just to satisfy our own wants.

These are actually helpful especially for newbies who are relatively new to the gambling world. But in all honesty, some are easier said than done. Gambling is an act which is very difficult to maintain and have discipline due to its nature being satisfying and giving adrenaline. Not to mention, everything revolves around money in that aspect- which is the primary need of a human.

My friend recently get scammed by a gambling site which he found by continuously browsing. On internet. ~Goodbye $200 .~

Why browsing the Internet looking for a gambling site, when you can come here on this forum and see dozens of established sites and new ones with reviews on them? I personally don't know about more reliable source of information regarding crypto gambling than this very forum. It's better to spend one hour reading about various gambling sites here than saving one hour, but losing $200 to some scammers, imo.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense if he cannot found any recommended gambling site on here because we are sharing the best gambling website which he can use to gamble. But that will be different if he doesn't know this forum so he can search on the internet and found many gambling websites in out there without knowing which is the good gambling site.

There are lots of legit and trustful gambling sites roaming around this forum. I guess one of the major considerations is the length of the gambling site's operation. If it has been around for years, it means that it already built its strong reputation and trust from its user. But you are right, doing research and asking is the best way in order to know if the gambling site is legit or not.
I agree. This forum alone is very helpful to make things clear in your mind. You have all the freedom to ask from these forum members if they have been into that gambling site or is it legit or not.Sorry for your loss but be more cautious next time.Don't be dumb just to make profits.

Normally people take time to understand the difference between a good and a bad casino. One should be responsible for one’s own acts and should never point at others for their losses because when you are in the gambling arena, it is assumed that you are very wise. And a wise man will find the best gambling site. There are so many over the internet and you can know about them if you try to give it a search. Try not to be part of the sites that has a KYC.
Understanding the differences between bad and good casino isn’t so easy mate. You all are making it look like the only sites that scam are the unfamiliar ones and there are still few new sites that are genuine, reviews sometimes can even be deceiving. Some scam sites can actually look so real that you might be needing extra ordinary effort to detect that is scam.

Best advise really is to gamble on known sites, we have a lot of them here and if any negative thing happens, we know how to bring them to book.  I can never ever gamble on a site with KYC, that is one mistake I wouldn’t make in gambling, its trash. Why should a gambling site ask for KYC, for what use exactly?

3. Dont put too much money on that site so if ever its really a scam, the amount it can get is minimal.

Even if it is a small amount, I will never put anything into it as long as I can't confirm that is a legit site or not. I would not waste any money from transaction fees to a small amount to bet on that. My money is not for experimenting sites, also there are a lot of people you can ask whether that certain site is legit or not.

4. If it looks really legit, try some few games with few bets at first.

"looks" are not the basis of being legitimate, you should be able to tell or if not, as I said and said by a lot of people, ask people you know or this forum since there are a lot of people here that can tell you.

When we are little bit aware we can completely avoid these mistake in future.

Getting into random shit sites and deposit your hard earned money doesn't make any sense,at least have the habit of googling before using your money.
