Bitcoiners have the opportunity to stand for something and that's eliminating the need for central authorities such as the government and banks and rather than forcing everyone to confirm to their beliefs, it's better to find an audience worth serving. What's your take, guys?
Been there before and end up just being backstabbed by my old friends. I believe I had shared the same story around Trading Discussion board before. It's really not for everyone.

Oh family members, don't even get me started in handling responsibility for them when you tell them about the advantage of Bitcoin as an investment and as a currency. You would be held responsible when they encounter losses.

It indeed creates opportunity. It's just like an open door for everyone.

That's the reality and we can't force everyone to take the risk and embrace this technology. However, I still encourage them to take this opportunity while they still have time because it happens that many people rejected this before but for now, they're in regret. We need to become open-minded and see what is another opportunity to improve our finance and we know that Bitcoin had changed the life of many people. Of course, it can't be ignored, and just say that was not true. We don't just believe because we saw someone improve but rather change that mentality.
I don't know about encouraging though, you might be downplaying the word forcing in the context, if I'm being honest, I would rather choose to just tell them the basics and tell them to do their own research if they're interested in more in-depth stuff in bitcoin, that way it stops me from being responsible if they eventually experience a loss if they pursued bitcoin and started trading and makes sure that I don't waste a lot of time explaining stuff when it ends up with them not being really interested in it.

Those who want to know or those who want to understand can be informed or understood but how do you understand those who don't want to understand. Just like you can't change a mountain's position by pushing it, don't waste your time trying to explain Bitcoin to people who don't want to understand it. Maybe you will talk to them about Bitcoin for their good but they will misunderstand you and take your discussion differently. Family members may understand if you explain well and they will never take you badly but when you go to explain this to your neighbors they will misunderstand you so don't talk about Bitcoin to those who don't want to know or try to understand.

The earlier we understand that bitcoin is not for everyone, the better because it saves us the time and energy that we would have used to convince those who are uninterested, to move on to those who are interested and it can also drive adoption faster. I've read some threads here of some people trying to convince their family members on the positives of Bitcoin and get enraged if the said members don't share the same opinion as them but I feel everyone is entitled to his opinion and while some regard Bitcoin with outright disgust like Charlie Munger, there are some who care less of it's existence.

We cannot force anyone to embrace bitcoin. Investing in bitcoin is a free will, and a lot of people still do not know how to use or invest with it. It is hard to convince people who are uninterested. It is important to respect individuals opinions as some may sees Bitcoin in a negative way while others may not care about its existence. Rather than trying to force beliefs onto others, Bitcoiners can focus on their own investment and trust their own process.

I think if someone asks our task is to tell the truth about the advantages and disadvantages of bitcoin, so that we consider the risks and rewards when joining bitcoin. because many of them feel cheated because what is conveyed is only the benefits when investing in bitcoin. we realize that everyone has their own thinking power, therefore let them determine their way of life, because not all successful people have to live a life like us. I'm sure of the many people who ask, there must be some who are interested in bitcoin based on their own conscience

I have given myself the task of reflecting carefully and… it's true, there are people who just don't care what Bitcoin is, either because of their age or simply because they have a little different teaching, along with beliefs and ways of thinking different enough that they don't want to know anything about bitcoin... I've had my own experience with a friend from college, actually recently commented on another thread here on the subject, I've tried to talk to him and convince him how good Bitcoin is... but without fruitful results, his ideals are more directed towards safe investments. This really is not a bad thing, everyone has the freedom and criteria of what to believe and what to learn and above all what to invest in.

Satoshi throws Bitcoin to the public which is equipped with a White Paper after successfully creating Bitcoin perfectly, the existence of Bitcoin has shaken the world with all the advantages and conveniences it offers. The relevant authorities feel that the presence of Bitcoin is a threat to them, regulations are being made to limit the adoption of bitcoin on a large scale in one region.
Those who are open to accepting Bitcoin have benefited a lot, while those who are still closed themselves still cannot accept the presence of Bitcoin. There will always be pros and cons due to differences in the mindset adopted by the community. The experience that someone has needs to be passed on to those who are still closed to Bitcoin in order to increase public awareness of Bitcoin in the future.

Unlike the fiat money, here in Bitcoin or crypto for that matter there is that learning curve and there are many new risks associated with its usage as we know that hackings and scams are very popular in this industry. Surely, Bitcoin is not for all people most especially with people that are still not using modern technologies like the internet and the smart phone. There are many factors why until now BTC remains to be a very popular speculative asset rather than a widespread currency that people are using in everyday transactions. Nevertheless, this does not mean that BTC is less attractive as it slowly inches its way to its intended role in the international market.

I agree with you because there are skeptical people who would never accept something like Bitcoin while we can't ignore the fact that there are also people who are very fond of Bitcoin that they can't live without it. Those people who don't want to know about Bitcoin are the ones whom we can called people with ignorance while that ones who accept that Bitcoin is a useful asset and it could help to reduce inflation are the people with the understanding of things.

I also believe that those people who are not interested in Bitcoin should be avoided on matters where we talk about Bitcoin. It's not worthy to convince such people that Bitcoin is the future and it can eradicate poverty because they will never accept our words and that's why it's better to be salient near those people who can't understand your words. We love Bitcoin and that's more than enough for us and if others don't love it then we can't force them to love it.

Satoshi said that if you don't get bitcoin then he had no time to explain it and change your mind, and I would say I agree with him: when this topic comes up if the other person begins with some BS like "it's illegal, it's used by the criminals" etc etc, the first time I explain why it's not like that, if they keep going then I choose not to waste my time, sooner or later they'll realize how wrong they ere.

With family members is different because in a certain way you want them to be part of this because even thought they don't get it now, at a certain point you know they'll regret the choice and of course you'll feel bad as well despite the fact that you tried everything to convince them. Family and money is always a tricky topic.

we can't force someone to own bitcoin because there are a lot of reasons why people don't believe in bitcoin, we hope for mass adoption but not to force people to own bitcoin, I personally won't force people to own bitcoin because I know the risks that exist and I'm afraid if people blame me when bitcoin doesn't go through a bad situation at a price like an example the price of btc once reached 60k$ and see until now it's still standing at 30k, the possibility will come back its true  but for people who don't have patience I can be accused of cheating if in the country me

what you said is right OP, Bitcoin is not for everyone.
trying to convince family or someone close to me, I think it's still reasonable because someone wants their family or someone close to them to take a chance on Bitcoin.
it's simple if we get rejected or challenged when explaining or convincing someone then leave those who are not interested in Bitcoin, if we argue it is useless and can create hostility.
life is about how to live in harmony not debate and in my opinion also by debating those who disagree and don't believe in Bitcoin it will damage the name of Bitcoin and someone who debates itself.
there is no need to convince other people, just focus on our goal of doing activities in Bitcoin and enjoying profits when the time comes.

We can and normally expect everyone to accept Bitcoin. However, we must also be aware of the fact that this will not be 100% possible. Because not everyone knows Bitcoin, they are able to relate to Bitcoin due to various limitations. And also because there are various rules that are so strict. Not only that, sometimes a person's mindset can also limit their desire for Bitcoin, because of their distrust, their doubts about Bitcoin which has no real form.
This is a common problem that often occurs and we just need to give an understanding of what bitcoin is and how it functions.
If they still think Bitcoin is a worthless digital asset that will eventually go to zero, then they have a different point of view.
The reason may be that Bitcoin has no form and is not accepted as a legal payment.

When they believe only with that, then let it be. Because after all if we force them to be like us who like and use Bitcoin, this will not be good either. Moreover, we all know that Bitcoin still has a high risk, so it is too risky to invite other people who don't like and are reluctant to join Bitcoin. Because, if they experience bad things, then it will be our risk too.
Just leave them to their personal opinions, no need to force the will to believe in Bitcoin.
Just make your own investment and enjoy the benefits.

Bitcoin or crypto has a high risk, if you advise them to enter and they experience losses due to their limited knowledge, then you will be the first person to blame.
Those who enter should really know what the benefits and risks of entering crypto are.

Recognition is always on the move, it would really be just fasten out on the sense it would really be seen on other angles or applications on which other people would be able to see its relevance. Some might get curious

and some wouldnt really care at all. This is why on my part, i wasnt really have the plans on explaining into other people about Bitcoin because they would mostly be minding about making easy money but wasnt really minding about the risks involved on which it is really that something that would really be needing to know in the first place so that you wont really be making yourself that expecting too much.
Just let those people who wont really be tending to welcome the idea or having that Bitcoin into their interest, we know that time is ticking and if they do have missed out the train
on making profits then this is where regret would surely happen.

People would only realize when its already that late which its a common thing to happen. Make some explaination if ever someone do ask about it but always be remindful about the risks involved
and better not to make any guarantees or assurance that you would make profits because people would really be living on a wrong perception.

I believe this is the correct approach. People who can't see Bitcoin's power don't deserve it. So you shouldn't lose time to try to enlighten them but just buy some extra Bitcoin instead and hodl it Cool

I agree that each one of us is entitled to each opinion so we must respect other people's belief even if it does not align with ours.  It is funny to think that people who introduced Bitcoin to their family and got rejected  feels horrible.  We should expect to receive such kind of reaction since not all people are bound to get interested in Bitcoin.

Bitcoiners have the opportunity to stand for something and that's eliminating the need for central authorities such as the government and banks and rather than forcing everyone to confirm to their beliefs, it's better to find an audience worth serving. What's your take, guys?

This is the beauty of Bitcoins.  We are able to send and receive funds without the meddling of third-party services.  We are free to move around our funds without the prying eyes of these third parties.

It's not a surprise that not everyone will march to the drumbeat of Bitcoin because to me it would seem like their freedom to make choices is being taken from them. I feel the government and Bitcoin atheists know this and play on their ignorance by painting it bad all so that they can give it a negative reputation in order to hamper it's widespread adoption. But will that work? Huh, I doubt.
I've long stopped coercing my folks to jump on the Bitcoin train as they are a traditional set of individuals who believe sticking with fiat is the safer option as it has been in use for a long while now and strongly believe Bitcoin is just a project that would end soon maybe due to low adoption rate and the like.

I understand the point the op is trying to make, and is very clear in the society nowadays, you can just imagine someone who do not understand how Bitcoin investment works and he/she is giving another person who has more low faculty about investment advice on investment, that's like a blind man leading a blind man, it's not done that way everyone must not accept Bitcoin believe it or not even the government in some countries are not considering Bitcoin as a legal tender because they are much afraid, no body knows the future price prediction's of Bitcoin, Bitcoin is not like fiat currency notes, not everybody in the world can afford to risk their hard earned money for anything and this is the one reason why everybody can't accept Bitcoin. I created a thread tittled why is gambling gaining more fans than Bitcoin? failing to understand the fact that gambling was before Bitcoin came into existence but still is not everybody on Earth gambled, so why do we still think everyone must become a Bitcoin investor?
